Hunan Palace Restaurant
I have nothing bad to say about Hunan Palace. The owner at the counter was very friendly and engaging. She focused a lot of attention on us, maybe because they are recently open for business and not a lot of traffic inside yet. She let us come in before the restaurant was actually open! That in itself is very appreciated. My sesame chicken was delicious, my egg roll hit the spot. My hot and sour soup was very tasty. My wife's sweet and sour shrimp was very good, her crab rangoon done the way she likes it. They brought the sauces to the table, her glass of merlot was chilled and tasty. My Japanese beer was wonderful, also my pepsi, and the water was cold, lol! She even brought lemon for my wife's water! All I can say, it was a wonderful dining experience, we were not rushed, and the decor inside was very interesting to look at. We actually have a lot of the same decorations in our home! So we felt very comfortable dining, and comfortable talking about those things with the owner.
Very yummy, fast and excellent customer service! I’m so glad I ordered from this restaurant! The food is perfect for my sinus/upper respiratory infection.
Curry Leaf Indian Restaurant
I have been getting food from here for the last 10 years, dating back to when the restaurant was located in Palatine. While just about everything is very tasty, the chicken shish kabob is quite amazing. Amazing service as well; chef Ali goes out of his way to provide exceptional customer service.
Food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. Service was friendly and accommodating. Naan was hot, toasty, and freshly made with a delightfully chewy texture. Atmosphere as expected for takeout place with a few tables, was pleasant with soft music and very clean. I did dine in and was very pleased with the food and service.
Dangela's Dumplings
I came here with my family, didn’t know what to expect, so we came curious, but left with happiness. The food is phenomenal, it’s better than some of the dumplings I had in Chicago, the flavor tastes like home, super authentic. As long as I’m in town, I’m going to stop at this place. All of their dumplings are hand made by the owner and her mom, speaking of which, the owners are the most down to earth people you will ever meet, they care about their restaurant, as you can tell from the elegant decor and cleanliness of it, she cares about the quality of the food and the customers, and treat their customers like family. I definitely recommend this place.
I’ve been here many times. I love it for excellent dumplings and conversation with friends and family, and for excellent dumplings by myself when I want to listen to my audiobook or sit down with my computer to get some work done. People are super nice. At peak times there may be a wait because the dumplings are made to order and they get busy, but it’s very worth it. If you like eggs, their tea eggs are great!
Shakou Restaurants
Rory was absolutely the best! We were so lucky to be seated in her area. She helped us navigate our food choices. The food and drinks were outstanding.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shakou, and it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant is stunningly beautiful and impeccably clean, creating a delightful atmosphere for guests. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.One of the standout features is their free restroom, which, like the rest of the establishment, is kept in pristine condition.Overall, Shakou provides a wonderful dining experience with excellent service and a beautifully maintained environment. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal and a pleasant atmosphere.
Thai Noodles Café
I decided to give this spot a try and was very pleased with the food. The flavors and the portions are great. Something that caught my eye was the constant number of carry out orders that kept coming in and out throughout my visit, which tells me it is a local favorite. Will definitely be back!
Fantastic Thai cuisine. Can choose your spice level (based on easy to understand comparisons). Service was great, courteous, and quick. Free Parking behind the restaurant, but it is small and tight. Drive way from RT 21 is narrow.
Viet Taste Libertyville (Phở House And Banh Mi Baguette )
I took some coworkers out for lunch and I will say everyone was very pleased with the overall meal. The quality was very good! The service was okay I little slow. The atmosphere was nice very nicely lit from the natural light from the outside. I will say be mindful as Viet Taste doesn’t take credit cards and is only Zelle or Cash. Overall, I will say go for the high quality food!
First time here & oh my goodness!!! I am raving about this place. My hunny & I came on a Saturday around noon & it was fairly empty, so no wait to be seated. They have a great menu with lots of smoothie options 😋 & great food to choose from. Their prices are pretty good too. I got pho with beef slices & added shrimp. My hunny got pho as well. We got crab rangoon as an appetizer. The crab rangoon was hot & tasted good. We both got smoothies, mine was the piña colada & it was very yummy (: Our pho was amazing!! Oh my gosh the broth was seasoned so well, it had sooo much flavor I couldn't stop drinking it even after feeling full lol. This place def has the best pho to date that I've ever had. I WILL be coming back!!
Sushi Thai Libertyville
Very welcoming and attentive staff. The Rainbow and the Serpentine Rolls were delicious as was the fresh Spring Roll w/ Shrimp. The Pad Thai Chicken was good, but I’ve had this elsewhere and liked it better. I would highly recommend this restaurant
Delicious. Some of the best chicken egg rolls I've had. Chicken satay was good and juicy. Really enjoyed the thai sauce for the chicken wings. The wine was amazing, 20 for a small bottle, but want more it was that good. Going to buy a case, they wouldn't let me take any home. The beef in the beef salad was dry so wouldn't recommend that. But everything else was a party in my mouth . Will absolutely go again.
Hanakawa Japanese Steak & Sushi Bar
Fantastic service and delicious food! We felt like they went above and beyond in every way. The chef diced up food for our 2 year old without request and the owner brought her a sucker. Would go again!
I seriously love this place. The food is always fresh and so tasty. The owners are very friendly and make sure your meal tastes great. I’ve never sat at the grill tables so can’t comment on that. We drive all the way from Glenview to enjoy this amazing food.
The Green Room Of Libertyville
First time here. My hunny & I went in not too long after they opened during the weekday. We got seated right away. The decor & vibe of the place is nice & laid-back. We got some crab rangoon for an appetizer & oh my goodness, were they delicious! These crab rangoons were so f r e s h & they tasted different, but in the best way. Thouroughly impressed. I was really looking forward to trying out the ramen & I was not disappointed! Again, it tasted fresh & so well made. They aren't stingy with the shrimp that's in it either! Haha my hunny got the coconut curry chicken & he was happy with his choice. I got a taste of it & it was delicious 😋 very impressed with the place will def be back.
This place was a great find! The menu was really interesting, and everything we tried was delicious. I can't wait to go back.
Pho Kho Gia Lai Vietnamese restaurant Pho
Oh so delicious! It has THE best pho in Libertyville. Just across the street from Austin's in the strip mall you will find delicious pho of so many flavors (47) and plenty of Vietnamese dishes. To be honest I have had the spring rolls, Crabmeat Rangoon, and the Pho because they are so good, I do not want to try anything else. The place is clean and airy without many frills but you are there for the 47 flavors of pho. You are greeted by some big smiles asking how many and where you want to sit. Pull a couple tables together for larger crowds. On cold days the warm pho brings them in so come early. I am stuck on the combo pho with all the meats. The noodles are cooked perfectly and a stacked plate of accoutrements accompanies your pho. Thai basil, bean sprouts, jalapeno slices and limes. On the side garnish it with sweet Hoisin and Sriracha or make your own concoction. It does not matter how you make your phone but it's a big bowl so just bring your appetite. Enjoy!
The soup base from the pho was tasty and flavorful. It also came with a generous amount of beef and meat ball sliced into smaller pieces.
Singh's Kitchen
This Indian fusion restaurant is a true masterpiece, combining culinary creativity with stunning decor to create an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a chic and vibrant atmosphere. The art murals adorning the walls are nothing short of mesmerizing, adding a burst of culture and creativity to the space. The marble tables further elevate the elegant yet welcoming vibe. The menu is a delightful blend of traditional Indian flavors and modern fusion twists. Each dish is thoughtfully curated, showcasing the chef's innovation and passion for bold, unique flavors. The standout for us was the lamb chops—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with spices that left us craving more. To top it all off, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. Their recommendations and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home.
If you haven’t been to Singh’s Kitchen yet, what are you waiting for?! This place is such a vibe—cozy, cute, and just the right amount of elegant. The decor is modern with little touches that make it feel warm and inviting. It’s the kind of spot where you could come for a casual dinner but also feel fancy enough for a date night. The service was amazing! The staff were so friendly and attentive, and they really made the experience even better. Let’s talk food because, honestly, EVERYTHING we tried was incredible. We went all-in on the appetizers: the Paneer & Cheese Samosas were crispy and gooey perfection, the Samosa Chaat was bursting with flavor, and the Brussels Sprouts Skillet was such a fun twist—it was crispy, savory, and downright addictive. The Aloo Tikki Chaat was another favorite, perfectly spiced and full of texture. You can’t go wrong with any of these! For the mains, the Paneer Tikka Masala was a total standout. The sauce was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of spice. Scoop it up with their warm, buttery Garlic Naan, and it’s pure heaven. The Vegetarian Biryani was also a hit—so flavorful and fragrant. Now, do not sleep on the drinks. The Guava Cocktail was hands down one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. Sweet, tangy, and refreshing—just WOW. You need this in your life. And then came dessert. Oh. My. God. The Rasmalai Tres Leches was absolutely mind-blowing—light, creamy, and so unique. The Pistachio Kheer was equally amazing, with a perfect balance of sweetness and nuttiness. Both desserts are must-orders, no questions asked. What makes Singh’s Kitchen so special is how they take classic Indian flavors and give them this modern, creative twist. It’s fusion done right, and every dish feels like it’s been made with so much thought and care. Seriously, this place is a gem. Whether you’re into Indian food or just looking to try something new, Singh’s Kitchen will blow you away. I already can’t wait to go back!
Oishi Sushi Restaurant
I absolutely love this restaurant and so does my daughter be all you can eat specials a phenomenal deal and if that's too much they have a great lunch special as well that always fills me up. Service is great food is fantastic and the atmosphere is always pleasant.
Really nice little place. Me and a friend came in and they sat us down right away. We got all you can eat sushi. We tried all of the sushi and every single one of them were delicious. The Crab Rangoon was the best I ever had and all of the other sides we had were amazing. We finished off with the mochi iced cream. Over all it was amazing and the only complaint was the service was a bit slow. I would definitely bring friends here again!
