Ive been alot of chinese places but uncle wongs is the best kept secret of marsellies, IL they have some of the best Chinese food you'll ever have in your life! Of all the other Chinese places i have been none have ever tasted as good as uncle wongs. My wife and I got two different chicken dishes their orange chicken + General Tso's and a appetizer of crab Rangoon. To start the food portions were very generous for the price , the quality of the food was great , the plating presentation was very nice , the chicken was cooked to perfection with a nice crisp breading covered in a generous amount of flavorful sauce, the general tso's sauce and the orange chicken sauce were full of flavor and balanced perfectly while being very appeasing for the taste buds, the fried rice was cooked perfectly while having a nice depth of flavor especially how they finished with soy sauce giving that perfect umami flavor and finally the crab Rangoon texture was amazing with a crispy outside and a very nice creamy flavorful filling with a sweet and sour sauce on the side absolutely amazing. 10 out 10 !

Crab Rangoon is great. Sodas in cans with glasses and ice are great. Kung pao triple meat delight was fresh. Vegetables crunchy and delicious. The meal was spicy, and I liked that. Unfortunately, it was overly salty, and I felt it for 24 hours.

The food here was very exceptional. The coconut shrimp was on point and the peanut butter chicken was done to perfection. The seafood casserole was very good to. My wife and kids really enjoyed it also. To be honest there wasn't anything really to complain about except how the ice cream was served. Our waitress took really good care of us. Good place.

My family loves their food! It's been good always and the staff is so kind. We've gone four-five Saturdays in a row and it was always excellent

When you have a craving for some sushi this is a good place to go. It’s great it’s right downtown. The lady working was super nice. Looking forward to trying more rolls.

The food was absolutely incredible! My husband and I could not stop raving about it. The owners are so kind and lovely. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone!

My partner and I went here on Saturday night and were looking forward to the buffet and make your own stir-fry. Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed that the buffet side and stir-fry options were not open and we then decided to dine in and eat off of the menu. I had the spicy garlic beef with fried rice, a pork eggroll, and spicy wonton soup. Everything was absoultely delicious and I enjoyed everything that I had. My partner had the Four Seasons entree with white rice and a pork eggroll. He enjoyed everything he had as well. We also got an order of sweet and sour chicken to go for snacking and that was great as well reheated in the oven later that evening! Overall, this place is a gem and I wish they would have more business to reopen the buffett and stir-fry stations! We will be coming back here again for sure! Please go out and support this local business!

Other reviews said it's clean. 😆 It's super clean. We got the buffet where you choose your own meats, veg, noodles, and sauce and they cook it right there for you. All the food was amazing!

Solid 4 stars for a buffet. We came in around 2:00 on a Monday afternoon. There were 2-3 other tables occupied when we arrived. We were greeted, sat, and our drink orders taken. I had coffee, and I do not recommend it. I'll drink pretty much any coffee put in front of me, but this was an exception. I could only get down about half the cup. Fine. Don't get the coffee. The main entrees on the buffet were hot and fresh enough, but mostly they were just really delicious. By our second trip, it was close enough to dinner that everything was piping hot and completely fresh. Several chicken dishes, beef dishes, some pork, and some seafood (shrimp, salmon, artificial crab, etc) The meat was well trimmed and tasted great. I didn't get any mystery pieces, gristle, or fat to speak of. The sushi was not great, but I wasn't expecting it to be. The dessert bar was extensive and included a variety of self select hard serve. Two adults and a child cost $45 including drinks and a 20%+ tip. Though I didn't find everything to be perfect, I've never found anyone to be perfect either so it's par for the course. Service was fine, no complaints at all. If you're in the mood for Chinese buffet, there's no reason not to try this spot out.

Superb Chinese buffet restaurant, I can't recommend it enough. Food tasted excellent, it was hot and fresh. There was a good variety of food. Service was good. Restaurant was very clean.

Great food, service and a true Gem in downtown Mendota, only downfall was did not see much for mushrooms! They do offer deserts on the buffet, and bill was 13.50 with drink. Also to note was the decor is nice. Will definitely come back.

I ate here 2 nights in a row. Food tasted good ! My favorite was hot and sour soup and spicy shrimp. They do have a good variety of dishes. Desserts are available as well. Prices are very reasonable. The only thing I have to say they should update their seating area. It's very old. Décor update is a must in every business. Will be back again when in the area.

The Mongolian beef was good. Fried rice was flavorless. Biggest issue was every thing in my bag for delivery was open. So when opened the bag, the beef dish was all over the other dish. The other dish didn't fall out but the top was open. Portions were also very light. Beef was only half full even when putting everything back in the container. Also only got a small fried rice. That's not advertised.

Food delivered was hot and fresh. The moo shu beef was excellent. Pot stickers and shrimp lo mein were also good. Remembered my special request. Yummy!

This little restaurant is a cheap way to fill up quickly. We stopped in for the $11 buffet, and small batches were available with a variety of choices. My favorite was the coconut chicken!!

We were not impressed. The crab Rangoon is over cooked and runny inside. The chicken and cashews would have been okay if it wasn't all celery. The picture I took is after I picked out all of the chicken and cashews and was left with like more than 2 cups of celery. That is gross. They need to cut that down to like 1 stalk maybe. Then the lo mein is just terrible. It was loaded down with mushrooms and we put in the instructions that we didn't want mushrooms in it. It was way too many to pick out and had to be thrown out. What a waste of $30. There is better Chinese over in Peru.
