Forbidden Noodles
I always order the chicken miso soup and it is my favorite ramen in the area. I did love their pork bao buns but they are always out of it now. I have been going here consistently and have enjoyed it! I did not like the cheese rangoons the sauce that goes with them is not like typical places with a pineapple sauce.
All have to say to start this review off is - COME HERE! It is worth to try it. If you are not familiar with the area there is street parking available. When you walk in, the employee working cash register greets you. You do order at the register and have the option to dine in or take it to go. During my time there the cashier was very nice and helpful for our first time. He explained the menu well and let me order twice since I decided after I ordered to order more food! The menu is the perfect size and so are the portions. Each dish we tried had so much flavor and the display was nice. Service overall was good and quick! Even sitting down they came to check on us twice! We absolutely enjoyed every single bite. Everything was so good that I do recommend it all! The Brussels sprouts was so good that honestly I didn’t want to share it! Highly recommend for vegan and gluten free options!
Thipi Thai
I had a craving for Thai food when I was in Burr Ridge, but most restaurants had already closed after lunch to prepare for dinner. I discovered Thipi Thai during a Google search and decided to venture out to La Grange. It's a great place—clean, with nice decor and an amazing server. I ordered the appetizer platter, which was excellent in both taste and presentation. My sister ordered the chicken cashew, and I had the pad Thai. The presentation was great, and the ingredients were fresh. Our server checked on us several times and kept our table neat. I tried the banana sticky rice, which was new to me since it's usually served with mango. I'm still a mango fan—but the banana was good. I highly recommend this place.
I am very happy that we ended up coming here as the food was delicious. I'm generally someone who sticks with comfort foods but I'm glad that I decided to branch out a bit. The two entrees we ordered were amazing, as was the appetizer and dessert. In addition to great food, the restaurant did a good job of spacing us out in addition to great mask compliance by the staff.
Jin Jin Chinese Restaurant
The rice was good but the sweet and sour chicken seemed greasy. I didn't feel to good the next morning.
This is always my go to for chinese food. It is delicious, price is fair, and I have never had a bad experience. The people who own it are also super sweet. I recommend trying it (I always get the beef lo mein combo)
Chen Garden
It looks like so many other quick-stop Chinese Restaurants, but that's where the similarity ends. The service was quick and friendly. The food was great and plentiful! I especially liked the eggroll. Definitely worth a return visit!
STOP cooking food, putting it away, and then reheating it when ordered. First time we ordered here, good stuff. Next time, wife's chicken was small chunks of rubber that had obviously not been made to order. Crab Rangoon also rubbery/reheated. You have lost us as customers. And I'm sure you will lose more if you make this common practice. So be happy with your 4+ rating, it won't do you much good without repeat clients---which I guarantee will dwindle if you keep this up. It's a damn shame as Chinese take out is severely limited in the area. Please change for the better.
The Wok
Food was fresh and customer service was very good. Just disappointed in my meal. Ordered Sesame Chicken and it was spicy which I was surprised by. I like spice but I order sesame chicken when I don’t want something spicy. Even my won ton soup tasty spicy. I also wish they had an option to upgrade your rice or get noodles for an added charge. With the prices higher than other places and with my meal today, I don’t know as if I will be back anytime soon.
Charged me $17 for orange chicken and noodles and ONE piece of broccoli. Didn’t give me the vegetables at first so I had to go back in. Then gave me a tiny Togo cup of one cold piece of broccoli. Didn’t even come with a drink. I was really hoping to have a nice place right up the road from me but definitely won’t be coming back. Food tasted fine but really a bummer how they rip you off. So instead of supporting local I guess I’ll go to Panda Express
Shang Noodle & Chinese
Food is absolutely amazing. Best Korean style Chinese food we have ever tried. Super classy and portions are gigantic. Must try!
First time here! Fantastic food at a really reasonable price. Actually very surprising price point for the food quality! You need to check it out! Picture is the mini hot pot with tilapia and lamb. Outstanding! My wife had the seafood jjamppong! Great broth and good spice level!
Yau's Place
Fun spot. Glad we found this place!
Great food and run by the sweetest little lady. The atmosphere is very humble and cozy, it felt like I had walked into someone’s home and had myself a good home cooked meal. The portions were a nice size and they don’t skimp on the sauce!
Moy Goy Inn
I went here for dinner and took home pepper steak, shrimp fried rice and chow foon. All was delicious. Chow foon was the best Pad Thai noodles I’ve had so far. The veggies were crisp and the sauce was mild not too sweet. I would recommend coming here.
Food was hot! Original owners sold, new owners sold again recently. 3rd round of owners now in place. The original owners must have used the same woks and pans for the past 30 years. That flavor was LOCKED in to the food. Ordered today and it wasn’t bad but no one has been able to compete with the original. I think they’re still using fresh vegetables vs. flash frozen like owner #2 did. I’ll have to ask next time. Way more expensive than the original but everything’s going up. Price & Quality has been why I ordered in the past.
