Golden Teriyaki
They were very kind and respectful. With the combination of their delicous food I was amazed. I am already planning to cater for an upcoming party and I think that you should try it too!!
Sammy's Mexican Grill and bar
This place is Fire! The skirt steak was cooked to perfection and flavorful. The “Sammys” Asada and chorizo burrito did not disappoint! Great service and drinks that hit the spot! We will be back!👍
Being on the road we never know what we will get food wise. This was an unexpected fantastic find. Huge fajitas, enough for 2. Dessert was fried ice cream and again enough for two. We were seated immediately and our server was at our table quickly. After we ordered the food was there promptly.
A's Cafe
Not what reviews say. Spring rolls were not in rice wraps. No plum sauce just packets of hot and duck sauce. We had to ask for plates. Spring rolls and egg rolls arrived on plastic baskets. Annoying slot machines. Final blow...we got Lipton green tea bags with jot water in a beer mug
This place is gross. My husband said the guy that works there is really nice, but other than that the food is awful. The fried rice isn't fried rice at all....its bright yellow and the meat in it is sooooo gross, not seasoned or anything, pretty sure its just plain boiled pork. The crab Rangoon is bad too, has a very funky taste. We won't be eating here again, save your money.
Thai Town Restaurant
BAD. I Ordered pad woon sen with shrimp and shiu mai. There’s only 3 shrimp for $18, and all the shrimp smelled rotten. It smelled so bad when I opened it. I tasted it and it was so bad I had to throw it out. Disappointing in comparison to the other thai town in sycamore.
What a cute Thai restaurant with friendly service! Ordered myself Rad Nha dish and it was yummy. If you’re around the neighborhood, this is a highly recommended spot to check out for quick Thai food fix!
Big Sammy's Hot Dogs II
gyros are delicious. everything is always fresh. I recommend it. if in those locations. I always have lunch there. the design is not modern but always clean. and the restroom is clean and has a pleasant smell.
Was in town for quick bite.. on a holiday this was the perfect option!!! AMAZING customer service as well as hospitality! Was lucky to meet Sammy the owner. Everything was spotless clean, even the bathrooms were spotless & smelled great! Highly recommend, will be returning!!!!
Chili's Grill & Bar
Service was weak, not attentive. No REAL butter served, only butter oil? Ordered guiltless salmon meal served with a cold butter/oil on side, disgusting. Had to ask for salt and pepper, not on table?
This Chili's location we frequently visit is by far the best one! We actually travel out of town for this location! Even though we have one locally in the Fox Valley area near us we'd rather choose this location over that one. Servers are on point very kind and courteous. The food is always hot and served ready! Our favorite servers are Jesse, Pam and of course which we haven't seen in a while is Nick! Greatly appreciate the manager for hiring great servers and service!
Lina's Filipino Marketplace
Friendly staff and so helpful. My first time visit, I have Filipino friends and they cook amazing meals. So I decided to try this restaurant to buy myself some Filipino food. Everything tastes amazing, prices are good. I bought five different types of food and a dessert cake that was at the checkout counter. Let’s just say I will definitely be going back. So yummy!
Food not so bad friendly staff location ok.
Sushi Station
Consistently making it fresh, quality is up there with your mid level sushi restaurant. Great service, price & experience.
Nice layout, Friendly and attentive services. However their sushi left an interesting/ fishy after taste. Possible this location’s size due to the sushi were not as fresh. We didn’t enjoy our dinner.
ZAAB THAI
We ordered several items and they were delicious and authentic. First, spicy kha-moo soup, basil fried rice, zabb Thai sausages, salted fish Thai sausage fried rice, papaya salad and kra-por-pla soup, everything was amazingly delicious. My favorite was Thai basil fried rice with fried tofu, it might sound simple but not one thai restaurant had done it right. We asked for Thai spicy which was a good heat! We lived 40 mins away but it’s worth it! Zaab Thai is my prioritize Thai food!
Such incredible food! You would expect quality and flavors like this from a 5 star place in downtown Chicago. Fresh ingredients you can taste, everything made from scratch, every detail well thought out. The fried-ground catfish will live in my dreams. How it's crunchy and juicy and so flavorful is mind-boggling! The basil duck was excellent and on the spicy side, the salted fish and crab fried rice was delicious, the real crab in the crab rangoon was awesome, and the fried taro was the potato replacement you never knew you needed! Grilled calamari tasted deliciously marinated and was cooked to perfection. The thai iced tea was a treat, and so was the ice cream! A very quiet and very clean establishment. Excellent service and a great place to bring the family. Highly recommend and we will absolutely be back to try more!
Old Republic [Kitchen + Bar]
I visited this restaurant from NYC. All food, and I mean all food we ordered tasted really good! Including the Belgian waffle we got. One of the restaurants servicing authentic belgian waffle. Will come back again next time to try other offerings!
It was girl's night out and Old Republic was our first choice. I had been meaning to go there for awhile and never had the time. This seemed like the right time. The atmosphere was cool. The crowd was building up for the band. And we were ready to eat. I had a Berry Nut salad. It had fresh mixed greens with strawberries, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, goat cheese, avocado and sliced boiled egg topped with warm juicy, sliced chicken breast, with berry citrus dressing and warm pita. I'm not a fan of berry citrus dressing, so I had the basil dressing instead. It was a very refreshing salad to end the long work day with friends. I'm dying to go back and try the Whiskey Shrimp and Naughty Nachos. That looked very appealing. The Ensalada Quesadilla looked inviting also. If you are into fresh, mouth watering salads, Old Republic is the place to go and they have great live entertainment outdoors as well. It was well worth the trip.
Cravings
Such a cute find in downtown Geneva. The staff is friendly and the food is really good! They have a variety of dishes, something for everyone. Our favorites would be the beef pancake which is hard to find, not many places have this. Their chow fun is one of the best we’ve ever had. Not overly saucy, good flavor and the meat is tender. My kids love the kalbi which has a nice sweetness to it. The smoothies are also really good, they use fresh fruit! We love this place! Sandy, Mimi and Max run a great restaurant. Highly recommend!
Amazing service, good food. The dumpling were on the more bready side. But the scallion pancake was crunchy to perfection. Would def go back! The owner and her daughter are awesome. Crab Rangoon had a nice sweetness to it.
Tusk Thai Cuisine
Tusk is a cherished restaurant for my brother and his family so I have had their food in take out form a couple of times before but back in January was the first time I dined in at the restaurant. It’s a cozy byob spot with a large menu offering a variety of Thai dishes. We had a big group of 10 people that my brother called ahead for and I have to say that I was pretty surprised they were able to accommodate us on a Friday night given how busy it was throughout our time there. The staff was on it all night so the service was very smooth from appetizers all the way to dessert. I was happy to be able to go with such a large group as we got to sample a bunch of things. For appetizers alone we shared orders of summer rolls, chicken satay, potstickers, money bags, gyo, cucumber salad and the lettuce wraps. For an entree I ordered the Koong Kra Tiem which came with big jumbo shrimp and was really savory. The steamed vegetables were a little bland but wiping up the extra sauce from the shrimp fixed that. Other notable dishes were the basil beef stir fry my dad got and the Green Fire chicken and Thai fried rice my brothers ordered. I really appreciate what Tusk offers in terms of food but what has made them stand out is their commitment to service and how kind they are. I’m sure my family and I will be looking forward to enjoying a meal from their restaurant again soon.
The food was amazing!! We had the money bags, green curry, and pad see ew. All were very good, and the curry was phenomenal. AND....BYOB:) $40 for an amazing meal out... ridiculous!
