Elsie's Place
This has been my new go to place to play. Clean I never seen such clean machines (lol) quite especially in the morning the lady who works morning is such a sweetheart!
Just left here. I saw the police were having a fundraiser and I didn't have cash on me, so it was suggested I go there for the ATM. The old lady at the counter said I was being "disrespectful" because I wanted to use the ATM, but wasn't playing. I said hello when I walked in and went to the ATM to get money to donate. There wasn't a sign that I could see that said don't come in here to use the ATM and not play slots. I've been to plenty places to do the same and there wasn't a person telling me I was disrespectful for using the ATM. I just said ok and left, even though I wanted to say more, but it was definitely not worth it. My aunts love these kinds of places and I take them there for our outings, but I will pass by this one on purpose because of this experience.
Golden Buffet
This is our go to!!! This is one of our favorite places to go!!! And the mushroom pork and pepper steak are the absolute best!!!
Classic Chinese buffet that includes hibachi and sushi. Greeted pleasantly. Big spacious place, and many people there enjoying lunch, a weekday 2 p.m. Chopsticks are available near the sushi. Everything was good, the Mongolian Chicken was excellent. Great that they had seasonal fruit on the salad bar -- blueberries in August in Michigan! I had blueberries with melon as my dessert. They also have cookies, brownies and soft-serve ice cream. Hot tea was hot, and the restroom had soap and towels. No complaints, left a tip for the waitperson.
Wing Lauk
I used to like this place, but today, the waitress gave me a hard time because I asked for steamed dumplings. Only fried dumplings were on their menu, so I asked her if they could make them steamed. This was in addition to the wonton soup I ordered. She made a face and then told me that the soup would already have them. I replied that I understood, but would like extra. She then went on for about how I wouldn't like them steamed. She was pretty loud and condescending the entire time, and I could tell that the other customers were listening. It was quite embarrassing to have someone try to dictate what I should and shouldn't get--and it was not as though she said that, from a cooking standpoint, they would have problems making them: she made an assumption about me. After some more back-and-forth, she took downy order. Needless to say, I thought everything was fine..That is, until a second women from the kitchen came out. Once again, I met with a weird challenge about the dumplings. I lost patience and told her to forget it. I left. I never experienced such obnoxiously weird treatment before. I used to patronize this place quote a bit, but I shan't be back. Wing Lauk is an option, not a Mandate. In this shaky economy, they should be happy that anyone wants to dine there.
Worst food I've had in a long time. Rude server. Food was bland. Sons cheese burger looked like pre-made patty, came out raw, looked like they just microwaved it and brought it back out. Wife ordered gluten free food, just hope it was gluten free. Server kept cutting me off and wouldn't allow me to speak my order. Would've better off going to fast food. Won't be back and will not recommend to anyone. Would give 0 stars if possible
1st Wok Chinese Restaurant
Let me tell you how popular this place is. Christmas Day and it was off the chain busy!!! All workers were keeping the pace to keep up with orders!!! Outstanding! We waited a little extra longer than usual, but that's ok... it was NUTS! Food was HOT, FRESH and DELICIOUS! Everyone was friendly even in the whirlwind of preparing orders and taking new orders! Thank you for the amazing food! I never hesitate coming to 1st Wok for our Chinese food! I'd give them more stars if I could!
The food is always hot and fresh. The employees treat you as family. Prices are good for the amount of food and quality that you get. We love this place.
Double Dragon II
They didn’t prepare my order the way I asked and they overcharged me by $6 for the food. Apparently the menu prices are false advertising because we did not get that rate when we went inside and placed the order. The food wasn’t that good either. The fried rice was very fluffy and yellow. The Mongolian beef was not spicy at all. I won’t be ordering again.
I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combination w pork fried. It was disgusting, completely dried out, color of burnt steak, and uneatible. It all went straight in the trash. I called the restaurant and he was so rude, told me that it wasn't chicken it was pork like that was an excuse for it to be overcooked, black and disgusting and then he asked me what do I want him to do about it. Very rude!! I would NEVER anything from this restaurant again.
Chong Garden
Got $50 worth of takeout. General Tsos chicken is cold, chewy, doesnt taste like General Tso. Its not spicy, breading is soggy. “Hibachi chicken and shrimp” looks like it came out of the microwave and has some clearish-brown mystery liquid on it. I ordered a Hong Kong roll. Its a tiny piece of tempura shrimp wrapped in about 2” solid of white rice, topped with spicy crab. $15 roll with about $0.50 cents worth of ingredients. The fried rice i had to pay extra for is not done all the way, and tastes nothing like fried rice Ive had anywhere else in my life. This place aint worth the effort it takes to open their door.
I used to eat here all the time... For the first time ever I bought my daughter Chinese food when I got mine. Luckily she stopped eating after a couple bites... I got food poisoning!!! I do not use soy sauce... The color of this chicken is literally how it came... Will never eat there again!!!
Eat Rice
Always delicious, great value too! Huge portions for the Dinner Combos. We’ve been ordering here for years and moved away a few years back, even though we don’t visit as often as before they remember us every time. That level of customer service and care for return customers goes a long way!
The worst food. Are they cooking rice in a dirty oily pan? Taste of chicken awful. The terrible chicken in fried rice is rubber in texture, just horrible. Is it put through a large grinder like a chili grind for ground beef? The wierd shape (just like Asian Harbor) of each piece of chicken adds to the unappetizing appearance, texture, and tastelessness. Terrible. Yuk!! Pass on this place.
