Ming Chef Asian Cuisine
Service was great. Food was above average and very tasty. One of the few Asian restaurants where I went home not smelling like a greasy eggroll. The restaurant was very clean and nice.
Came here for the lunch special and decided to try the Mongolian beef as well as the pork bao appetizer The Mongolian beef was solid and sense it came with soup and a egg roll the value as well as the quality of food was worth it. The bao on the other hand I didn't care for , the dough tasted a bit stale which didn't make sense due to it being made fresh and the filling didn't have the best texture and just tasted sweet. Overall I plan on coming back to try the peaking duck because a lot of restaurants don't have it ready to order. Customer service while friendly felt a bit overwhelming, I felt every 5 seconds my table was being asked to take my plate away but due to it being slow and the boss being there I can give that a pass.
Ni Hao Asian Cafe
Ni Hao Café is an absolute gem in our community! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and an undeniable sense of hospitality. One of the owners Miguel went above and beyond, not only with their food but also in supporting local small business owners. Their generosity and gratitude truly make this café stand out. I had the General Tso’s Chicken with fried rice, and it was out of this world! The chicken was perfectly crispy, coated in a tangy yet slightly sweet sauce that hit all the right notes. The fried rice was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement. The quality of the ingredients is so apparent—you can taste the love and care in every bite. And the best part? It’s incredibly affordable! Whether you’re craving something delicious or just looking for a local spot to support, Ni Hao Café is the place to be. They’ve certainly earned my repeat business, and I can’t recommend them enough.
Have been looking for a good Chinese food place since we moved here and this it it!! One of the best we’ve tried. Got the orange chicken, lo mein, and fried rice , will definitely be back again.
Kan Ya
I visited this ramen spot with a friend, and unfortunately, it was disappointing. We both ordered the soup ramen and a cucumber salad. We arrived around 1 PM but didn’t receive our food until 1:40 PM. The total bill came to about $45, which felt steep for what we got. The cucumber salad was underwhelming—just sliced cucumber on lettuce with soy sauce and vinegar. If that’s standard, I wasn’t impressed. The ramen itself lacked flavor and tasted like plain noodles and water. The noodles weren’t even proper ramen but thin spaghetti. The vegetables were fine and cooked well, but the broth was bland and unappetizing. While they provide soy garlic sauce and chili oil, it didn’t salvage the dish. On Google, it shows that they serve vegetarian dishes, but it’s definitely not worth it. Overall, we left disappointed after eating just a bit. Not worth the price, wait, or experience.
The only reason I chose to give this restaurant a two star rating is because of the service. The food was very good. We ordered the chicken fried rice and sushi and it was honestly honestly very good. The service was very poor. The waitress was very rude and didn’t even come by one time to ask us if we need a drink on refills or if our food is good. We asked for a few extra things like sauces, and it seemed like a big hassle for her to have to get us some extra sauce.
Hunan Palace
Very good food and service. Professional and patient when ordering food for carry-out which was a major plus. Everything was hot and delicious, generous portion sizes, and packed well. Pleasant dining room, very sunny, bright, and the tallest Jade Tiger Cactus I have ever seen. Beautiful!
Absolutely FANTASTIC sauces are paired with very fresh veggies and surprisingly a lot of meat! Many Asian places in the immediate area skimp on any protein and give you mainly onions, bell peppers and carrots depending on the dish. Been going here for a few years and never had a bad experience except their Hot & Sour soup. It wasnt spicy nor sour. Customer service is very good and the owners are very welcoming. Atmosphere is quaint. A lot of plants and a large aquarium with goldfish. They have 3 booths and four tables with ornate Asian chairs.
Bambu Thai Cuisine
We recently dined at Bambu, a cozy family-owned Thai spot, and had a wonderful experience. We started with the vegetable spring rolls, which were crispy and packed with fresh veggies, served with a tasty dipping sauce. For the main course, we enjoyed the pineapple curry with chicken, a delicious balance of sweet and savory flavors with tender chicken and juicy pineapple. The Tom Yum soup was equally delicious, with a fragrant, tangy broth and perfectly cooked shrimp. The food was flavorful and satisfying, making it a great spot for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine.
Decent Thai restaurant in Elmhurst. Food is good. But they don't like to take care citing high service charges which I don't understand why it is higher for them compared to all other businesses which never have a problem with cards. The atmosphere was ok, it got too loud with many people in the restaurant. The entrance is a little weird too but has a decent amount of parking.
Zenwich Elmhurst
I went to this place once and just thinking about it, makes me want to return. Parking is ample, you can find a spot easily. The restaurant itself isn’t big so seating is limited. I got the Korean cheesesteak sandwich and it was very delicious. Bread was soft and fresh. Marinated beef brisket was perfectly seasoned and moist. That sesame oil makes a big difference in taste. Portion size was sufficient. This plus a cookie or a bag of chips would be a filling lunch. They have other unique sandwiches on the menu that I’ll have to try out soon. Prices are very fair. Service can be a little long depending on how many people are ordering. We went when there weren’t a lot of people for lunch so food came out fast.
First time trying this place and I would go back again. I ordered the seasoned fries. They were very crispy and tasty. The seasoning was a bit different. I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp sandwich with extra shrimp. Absolutely delicious. It was not spicy but well seasoned. The arugula on the sandwich was a nice e compliment to the overall taste profile.
Emperor's Kitchen
I agree with the previous review. If I could post a NO STAR I would. The lady (owner) who are we kidding who takes the orders and is at the front pick up has the nastiest disposition, she is never nice or pleasant, NEVER!! 12.06.24 place an order at 4:15pm. Spent $45.00 on the order. Issue with this item: Large Shrimp Egg Foo Young (4 Pattie’s) was given only 3. Ordered Large shrimp fried rice with jumbo shrimp. There were only a few shrimp. Waste of money. I ate 1 on Friday my spouse ate 1/2 of one. 12.08.24 I’m heating up the food from Friday and I realize there is only 1 patty and the 1/2 left. They only gave me 3 Pattie’s. I called 12.06.24 at 12:15pm. I explain to her the situation and she starts arguing with me (of course I didn’t expect anything else from her). She had me text her a picture of the 1 and 1/2 Pattie’s. Arguing that I should have called on Friday. I told her that if I would have realized it on Friday I would have called then. This call was exhausting. I told her to forget it but that I was going to give her a bad review. She then started texting me back to back to back. I had to tell her to stop texting me and that I would never order from her again. You are supposed to make it right in the beginning of a complaint not at the end after you argued with the customer. If you want to avoid issues don’t order from Emperors Kitchen in Elmhurst, IL.
If I could leave no stars I would… the customer service here is poor… asked the lady how much was something she grabbed a pen and pointed directly at the menu so I asked her was she okay she just look… I don’t understand these businesses that come into neighborhoods and expect you to patronize them but yet they talk and treat you like nothing until you check them… please do better
