China Kitchen
First time trying this place. I used delivery and there was a $8.29 delivery charge so just be aware if you choose delivery. We ordered the steamed dumplings(pork)- $6.95, small spicy chicken low mein(we asked for it to be spicy)- $7.95, and the dinner special for the Mongolian Beef that came with 1 egg roll and egg fried rice-$10.25. The steamed dumplings were huge but very doughy. Normally for the steamed dumplings I was expecting the thinner casing. I feel like these were closer to potstickers that they steamed. The pork was good though and the dipping sauce was tasty. The spicy chicken low mein and fried rice were very bland and plain. Once I added additional soy sauce, it was ok. The Mongolian beef was very tender and delicious but the Mongolian sauce itself was bland. The egg roll was great and probably the highlight. We are taking leftovers so the kids can try and I’ll update this review with their feedback. It was hard to order as I called 773-693-3223 and they took my phone number down and said someone would call me back. No one called for 10min so I called back and they had me on hold. Then said the restaurant would call me back so I think the business number is someone’s cell phone and then they reach out to the restaurant and get the call back. The delivery service that they used is nice because it sends you a link so you can track your order and the person was very nice. Don’t forget to tip your delivery people!
The Pan-fried dumplings are a must-dish in our household. The lunch and dinner specials are excellent options that consistently meet our expectations. They have prompt service and efficient delivery, accompanied by a courteous staff. Additionally, they maintain later hours, making them a dependable choice for Chinese food. Ample parking is also available.
China Express
I just moved into the neighborhood, and decided to try out this restaurant, I ordered shrimp fried rice and sweet and sour chicken, the chicken was good but the rice had regular onion instead of their usual green string onion. I have never in my lifetime fe seen that type on onion in shrimp fried rice. I did not like it at all. I had to share. Below is the picture of all the onions I took out.
I recently dined at this Chinese restaurant and was blown away by the environment! It's so inviting and beautifully decorated. The service was attentive, and the food was incredibly fresh. I love how healthy the dishes are, without being too oily. Highly recommend
Velour
A great restaurant. But there are several remarks. We had a banquet for 9 people, all the food was served in 1 plate, it is not very comfortable because the plates always have to be passed from one end to the other. The prices are quite expensive. In addition, tips or service are already included in the price (21%), no one told about this in advance. Food quality, service, interior are good. In general, a banquet for ~10 people +$2000.
What a gem in this neighborhood. Beautifull decor and exceptional Ukrainian cuisine. Was surprised to learn that they have been open for 1 year and never heard of it. My friend and I had soups, steak salads and 2 of their mouses, and we were both awed with taste and presentation. I took some deserts to go for my loved ones and the way those were packed definitely showed how much love is put into everything. Will be back.
Zora Restaurant / Kafana Zora
The quality of the food was excellent. The ambiance is nice and it was absolutely better than I expected it to be. I would eat here again. For Americans who don't know what this food is it's Balkan food from Serbia Croatia Bosnia former Yugoslavia and comparable to Albanian cuisine I had in Detroit. Great varieties of meat platters and dishes. Excellent bread and spread that is cream cheese butter based. Worthy to broaden your horizons. As a person familiar with Balkan food and culture this place is a hidden Gem. I would eat here again.
Food is delicious, great staff and old school looking place. Overall 5 stars from me all the way. FYI - everything beats 016 restaurant!!! Ziveli💥
Manchu Wok
Got what expected. This is not Panda Express, so don’t expect the same taste. For what they give you, it is good. Quantity is fine and orange chicken has some flavor. Noodles are ok and rice has a little too much soy sauce, but honestly, very good option for food around o hare in terminal 3
This is a Chinese fast food at an international airport. The service was fast, the food & portion were very decent, and the price was a standard airport price. I had orange chicken & spicy tofu (not so spicy) with fried rice. My husband said his blackpepper chicken and seafood rangoon were good too. I saw too many complainer bad reviews here, maybe they're exhausted & grumpy or expecting a 5-star restaurant quality.
Big Bowl Chinese Express
$16.95 ($18.94 after tax) for a one entree bowl that typically would cost about half in a similar places not at an airport location. Food taste was just okay. Portion was reasonable. But if there are other similar restaurants in the same terminal, I would try other place first. It was quick service though. Kung Pao was SPICY!
The food didn’t taste good like it looked , this 2 meals I ordered make me wonder how much sugar they put in! , wayyyyy so so sweet 17.++ dollars is not worth it One of the worker lady looks like a bartender, she was just laying her elbows T the pick up counter has her headphones on, played on her phone, doesn’t care about how awkward when customer standing there and waiting for the order. My conclusion is not recommended!
Manchu Wok
Honestly not the worst option in the airport. Large portion sizes but quality is not very impressive. Considering price and the fact that is airport food, 4 stars is fair in my opinion.
Cost about $14 for a meal I ate maybe a 3rd of. I recently dined at Manchu Wok in ORD Chicago Airport and had a mixed experience. Upon ordering, I was asked to choose between rice and noodles; I opted for rice. Then, I was told to pick two additional items. I chose green bean beef and spicy chicken. Unfortunately, the spicy chicken tasted more like tofu, lacking the expected texture and flavor. Additionally, the green bean beef was predominantly green beans, with very little beef. Overall, the meal was disappointing and did not meet my expectations. The servers were friendly.
Wow Bao - O'Hare International Airport
I’ve never had such an overpriced meal. I paid $20 for what? The size of the bowl was so small—like a kid’s size! An adult can’t get full from such a portion. Delicious, but very, very small.
I ordered teriyaki chicken and got this (see attached photo). There was no chicken—just onions and teriyaki sauce. The store sign shows it opens at 10:00, but the counter didn’t open until 10:30. Do not order from here.
