Ying Dim Sum 蓝天点心 0

Ying Dim Sum 蓝天点心

48reviews

Dim sum place inside 88 market food court that serves some unique items not available at other places in the city. First, their rice rolls are quite thin and authentic, you can add an egg for 50 cents. Much better than the gloppy versions at places like minghin. The Mochi bbq pork bun is also quite good in terms of texture but a bit on the sweet side. They also serve a wonton soup that is pretty awesome for only $8. It comes with a ton of mini wontons that you don’t find at many other Chinese places. Only downside is this place can get crowded and they do take a bit longer than other places since their kitchen is smaller.,

If I can give this place zero stars I would. I called in and specially request no onions. I came home (15-20 minute drive) and there was onion. Called and the lady say they will replace it when I go next time. Then they called me back asking for pictures for proof. Sent it and then they called back claiming that it was impossible. The owner called me back personally and state that she was the one who made my order and that she was sure there was no onion. She was accusing me that I was lying!! This is not the first time this has occurred that’s why I called in to let them know. Instead of expressing that they were wrong they accused me of lying. Here’s the photo and also the so order receipt. I won’t be ever going back here!! Avoid at all cost Updated review… it was raining and I happen to do grocery shopping at 88 market and my boys wanted dim sum. I decided to give the place a try and this time items were correct and everything was good. Will be going back for some more dim sum when in the area.

Qiao Lin Hotpot - Chicago Chinatown

910reviews

The hot pot at Qiao Lin Hotpot is hands down the best I’ve had yet! The experience was so much fun, but I’d highly recommend bringing someone who’s familiar with hot pot if it’s your first time—the menu can feel a little overwhelming at first. One of the highlights for me was the sauce bar, where you can customize your own dipping sauce to match your taste—it really adds to the experience. They also had a great selection of desserts, which was a nice bonus. As for the food itself, everything was so fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed the beef, shrimp, and mushrooms—they were absolute standouts. If you’re looking for a flavorful and interactive dining experience, Qiao Lin Hotpot is a must-try. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Qiao Lin Hotpot is the perfect spot for cold weather comfort! The pepper pork soup is an absolute must-try—rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. Everything else we ordered was also delicious, making it a go-to place for a cozy and fulfilling meal. Highly recommend!

Grab A Bite BBQ(随便吃点)

After shopping at a nearby supermarket, it was time for dinner, so we searched for a barbecue restaurant nearby and came here directly. I randomly chose a restaurant and didn't expect the taste to be very good. The beef and mutton were very juicy, the chicken was tender and a little sweet, and the grilled leeks were also very fresh. The battered mutton was very special and it was my first time to eat it. I liked the grilled oysters and scallops the most, they were delicious! The dining space in the restaurant is also very large, the waitress is very cute, and the overall experience is great.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, with a great selection of flavorful dishes. Everything we tried was delicious, and the quality was impressive. The service was also very good—friendly and attentive staff made the dining experience enjoyable. However, the serving speed was a bit slow, which could be improved. If they can speed up the food preparation, it would make the experience even better. Overall, a great place for BBQ, and I’d still recommend it

BBQ King 88 皇上皇

The roast duck is decent. You don’t get a lot of pudding but they had fresh soft tofu pudding which is hard to find these days

It is located at the second floor food court of 88 Asian supermarket. They got good and authentic Cantonese BBQ pork and duck. There were a few great Asian restaurants. Compared with other restaurants inside this large supermarket, their food tasted mediocre for me and the price was a little higher.
