This place does a lot more and take out and delivery that it does sit down. So don't let the fact that it doesn't seem like a bunch of people are in there fool you, the place is excellent! This is one of the most reasonably priced places you can get a ton of food! If you haven't had soup dumplings before you've got to! The staff is always in a good mood and ready to help! Everything I've had on the menu has been amazing! If you're looking for a simple noodle dish, or something elaborate, this place has everything! On a budget night when you're not interested in cooking but don't want to break the bank, put this on the list!

Enjoyed the food but every single dish was way too salty! Ordered the sour cabbage and pork belly, spinach with garlic and mala stir fry. Definitely need rice to tone down the salt. Don't think I will be back.

Really enjoyed the salted egg fried pumpkin. The lobster glutinous rice also had a lot of lobster. Huge portions, definitely worth the price. Update: Went back and the salted egg fried pumpkin was just as good as I remembered. We also ordered beef ribs, which were great as well. We also ordered the chicken and pork belly pot soup. While we loved the soup, which had a lot of white pepper, the chicken was dry and the pork belly was fatty (and not what I expected). We had mango sago for dessert which was delicious and richer and creamier than expected. Would definitely come back for different salted egg dishes!

Fresh seafood and great Cantonese taste! The lobster/crab rice, pumpkin salted egg, and the veggie are really good.

The boba tea was AMAZING!! It’s much cheaper compared to other places like Chinatown etc. Their rooms are very cozy & have a lot of charging ports perfect for studying! The workers are super sweet and nice! Helping me with my orders, etc. Their bathrooms are extremely clean- I’m so surprised a place like this exists in Halsted! Their orange chicken was very yummy! Honestly I prepare the Panda Express ones more but it’s so much cheaper! A huge bowl for only about 10$ + veggies!! Belly bowl is my new guilty pleasure.

Dama is a big improvement on it's predecessor, Red Panda. Now they have self order kiosks where you can order food and drinks from. Still an amazing interior with several seating areas and different feels in each area. The problem is it's always empty, hopefully it picks up as the weather warms. Food is amazing, more of a Korean menu now with traditional boba tea offerings and still some sushi. They've added robot service as well which is always fun. Drinks are fast, food a bit slower. Really hoping this version sticks around longer.

Disclosure: I drove 4 hours before I opened the food so I will not post pictures as they would not do justice to how delicious it was and how much better it would have looked fresh. My wife has been obsessed with this restaurant after seeing how they responded to bad reviews by printing them on the to-go bags! I was on my way back to Wisconsin from Indianapolis and placed an order while in traffic, iykyk. Order was being bagged when I got there 1 minute before the estimated time! I asked if I could have some extra napkins or something to help keep it fresh for the ride home and she happily repackaged the order in separate insulated bags and said it would be super hot but it would be as fresh as possible so my wife got the best experience she could! That alone was worth 10 stars for me. This location is pickup only so you wouldn’t expect much atmosphere… the outside is amazing and the pickup area is also well decorated! When I finally got home we opened the bags and found the famously adorable packaging, my wife was so happy and it warmed my heart so much. Even after the long drive the food was warm, delightfully spicy and absolutely delicious! This will be a regular stop when we are in Chicago! Thank you so much for making my wife so happy to see me after a trip 😁

I recently ordered takeout, and while the packaging was impressive with the Panda logo and professional presentation, the food didn’t fully meet my expectations. It might have been due to the delivery time, but the fried chicken, which I expected to be crispy and flavorful, arrived a bit cold and was unfortunately dry and tough to chew. Some of the other dishes were over-seasoned, masking the natural taste of the meat with too much sauce. However, I did enjoy the beef in spicy soup with white rice. The flavors blended well and reminded me of the authentic taste I had in China. Overall, it’s worth trying if you’re looking for something different, but there’s room for improvement, especially with certain dishes.

Happy Lamb Hot Pot (Bridgeport)

This was the first time my sister and I have ever had hot pot so there’s no experience to compare it to. With that being said we absolutely loved the place. We thought all the food was so fresh and delicious. The quality of the meats were great. We ordered the premium package. I’m not exactly sure what’s included because we went with the servers recommendations (she picked all the meats for us) There was a fresh bar for all of our topping to go in the hot pot. There was also a sauce bar where you could make your own flavorful sauce. We both ordered a pineapple smoothie. We really enjoyed it. Unfortunately you can’t take any of the leftovers so we stuffed ourselves while sitting and enjoying the atmosphere and conversation. We went at 11:45am which is pretty near opening so it wasn’t crowded at all. Never felt rush and the service was top tier.

Wow, we’re there around 2 pm and the place was packed! We ordered the original marrow broth, while we waited for the broth to come to the table, we went to the buffet area to get our items (seafood, veggies, noodles and all other varieties), also we mix our own sauce for dipping our meats! My favorite was the glass noodles and the shrimp paste! Beverage was included! After a full stomach, we still had room for the sesame seed balls with red beans on the inside, the fried dough drizzle with condensed milk and the ice cream! It’s free if you go on your birthday, just need to show ID!

Our experience here was amazing to say the least. We definitely were bot expecting this sort of service from a place we thought was very simple at first. We received amazing service from Christine! She greeted us with a smile and was attentive throughout our entire time. Glad to see she takes pride and enjoys what she does. Not to mention the food was immaculate!

I had the C.K. rolls with vegetable fried rice. The rolls were really good.(9) The rice was enough for 3 and delicious.(9) To go box, please!😋 The waitress was also great. My only complaint would be having to fight the gnats for my food.

Wing yip breakfast

This whole in the wall restaurant is exactly what we were looking for for breakfast on a cold day! If you are looking for authentic dumplings, buns, noodles, congee this is it. We are so happy we found this place. When you walk in you are immediately sat down. You are served hot tea and you can see the workers making fresh pastries. The customers were 90% Asian. I’ve never seen such big and plump dim sum before- just like your grandmother made it! This is our secret breakfast spot and we’ll come back again!

A corner restaurant outside of the main area in Chicago Chinatown. They do have a large round table but overall a pretty small place so expect a short wait and that it gets loud when crowded. Serves popular dim sum items at a very reasonable price though the menu isn't too extensive. Known for their steamed rice paper rolls but I find the shumai the star of the meal. Braised beef brisket is decent too. They also sell Hong Kong style milk tea that's decent.

Yum! We split the braised beef noodle soup and thought it was a very good size for us to share. The flavor was incredible! We ordered mild, since it was our first time we didn’t know how spicy it would be. But it was great. I can’t believe how flavorful it was. The noodles had a good chew, and the beef was tender. We loved it so much!

10/10 baos. I stopped in for a little snack and the preserved veggie with spicy pork was amazing!!! Super fast service, too. I have to come back to try the rest of the options.

I saw a video on YouTube that talked about the story of the owners and his restaurant. I looked it up on Google and saw it was a 4.5 so I decided to go check it out. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I expected. Crab ragoon was good, the noodles were decent but the meat was dry and burnt.

Crab rangoons are a must order! The filing was the best I've ever had. Lemon pepper chicken with the char siu combo was to die for. Everything was seasoned well and juicy! 9/10. Would come back again! Pictured: lemon pepper+BBQ pork char siu rice combo with egg, salt+pepper rice combo with egg, crab rangoons, salt and pepper chicken sandwich

AFusion - Chicago

We had a great time at this restaurant, we stopped here for a quick lunch and was delighted with it. We really liked the venue - you can tell they had spent time designing a great space with more attention to details. The menu was great and they had a lunch deal which was great so we could try a couple of dishes. Most fun of all was the Mister/ Ms Cat robot who served food to the table! The kids absolutely loved it and can’t wait to come again. We had a noodles and rice dish which was tasty and fresh.

The food was overall fine. The Korean chicken wings we had were a little too salty. But the calamari was under salted and a bit bland. Crab Rangoon was fine. The entrees were also fine. Nothing to complain about, nor brag about.

SzeChuan Alley 成都巷子

I recently dined at Sze Chuan Alley, and it was an amazing experience! This is an authentic Sichuan restaurant, and every dish is full of genuine Sichuan flavor. The owner and his wife were incredibly friendly and even gave us some complimentary side dishes, which made us feel very welcomed. Both the service and the quality of the food were impeccable. Although I saw some reviews saying that the food here wasn’t good, I’d like to clarify that Sichuan cuisine has its unique taste, which may not be representative of all Chinese food. Having lived in Sichuan for many years, I can assure you that this is the closest to the authentic Chengdu flavor I’ve had in Chicago. If you love Sichuan cuisine, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommended!

Good, but just not good enough to come back. Each dish I tried just wasn't special. It was mediocre, everything else was sublimed. The tea was generic. The presentation was great though. Problem-1: Their table layout is horrible. You are inches away from the next table once seated. The server has a horrible time reaching you if are near the windows. Expect to be excused to make waves for the server if you are seated in the middle. Solution-1: Sit near the back, they won't change the layout because more tables = more profit since its a smaller restaurant. Problem-2: When it rains or snows later, prepare to feel very slippery due to the flooring, especially near the back when there's a lot of grease coming back and forth. Problem-2: Just be careful! Update: Just found out we got food poisoning from this restaurant.
