Panda Express
I was quite happy to see a new Panda Express opening close to my work place. I ordered online in the morning for an afternoon pick up. Went in at pick up time, my order was still in process. I counted 10 staff members from which 6 to 7 seemed completely overwhelmed with a line of about 5 customers. No one cared about my order, I was asked 3!!! times by different staff what I am waiting for and what my name is. Got my order 21 minutes after scheduled pick up time with my car parked on the sidewalk (expecting a pick up within a minute) because parking in that mini mall really sucks. Not their fault though. The food was great as always but they have to improve customer service a great deal. I understand this is a newly opened business and it takes time to get all the wheels rolling properly. On the other hand, I ordered half a day in advance and don't get that my order wasn't ready to grab. Not sure if I'm coming back or sticking to the place I usually go to.
Crazy that they keep the door open and they haven't officially opened. Google shows they are open at 10 and I arrive at 11 to walk in just to be told to leave. Update your info next time on Google so people don't get mislead or lock the front door.
Yummy Buffet
Fun place to go for a discount pan-Asian buffet with vintage and diner/canteen vibe decor. Just don't expect typical service and embrace it as a different cultural experience. Food is not the most exquisite but it's worth your money if you know what to get: hibachi made to order, fried fish and shrimps, etc. You pay a fixed price when you walk in and you tip the server when you are done. Is it the place for the best Asian food? No. Is it fun and does it bring you to the 70's immigrant Chinese restaurant that can almost be used as a movie set? Yes.
The food here is just so so so sad! Please don’t waste your time or money here!! So nasty and cold.
Wingstop
Chicken was dry and nasty tasted like old chicken that was refried. Sauce was not evenly distributed there was a bunch of spots with no sauce on them and the sauce looks as if it wasn’t mixed or prepped properly… waste of 25$ seriously.
Always friendly and efficient. Never had a problem with my order. Thank you!
Peking Mandarin Restaurant
Absolutely loved our first experience at Peking. Gina was a great server, so friendly and accommodating. The food was incredible. Usually, lo mein is dry and flavorless, but not theirs. So tasteful. The kung pao beef was also incredible. We dined in and will definitely be back.
The spicy chicken wings and chicken fried rice have always been my personal favorites. My family has been eating here since the 90’s and even though we have all moved away from Albany Park, we always come back here at least once a year. I highly recommend eating here.
Chen's Garden
Betty at the front is the nicest and most welcoming! Fantastic family restaraunt. Some of the best Chinese food in Chicago around!
Authentic and priced Chinese food around. Sweetest family owned business, this is a must visit. The lemon pepper chicken wings are a hidden gem!
