Chinn's Chinese Restaurant
Reviewing it as a seafood place. Chinn's Seafood could use some heavy improvement. Entering in, you can tell it's a hole in the wall. There's seating but it's only if you're waiting for the meal. I had the 1lb seafood order of flounder and mussels, each with a different sauce. They both came with maybe one quartered potato and two quarters of corn - there's a heavy portion of seafood which is always exciting to see, but it's quite unfortunate when the food falls short from a lack of seasoning in the food itself rather than its sauce. I wish the mussels were cooked a little longer. That would have helped pull that extra mound of meat off easier. The sauces themselves were not finger licking good either. The garlic butter sauce was weaker than Papa John's included butter sauce, if that shows anything. Some parts of the dishes were seasoned well, others not as much. For today's spice level, I had mild and medium, both of which felt the same. I guess I'll try spicy next time. Like the mussels, the flounder was about what you can expect. It felt like the fish wasn't seasoned before breading, and the expectation is that you dip the fish into the seasoned sauce to enjoy. It was strange to not see the flounder in other parts of the Chinese entrees in there as well. The broccoli was a nice touch, but it all comes down to cutting the quality of the dish by prioritizing speed. Upsetting. Edit: Also, don't bother getting their coupon from the website. You can guarantee yourself a stale set of dry, sketchy technically edible wings that were pulled out of the fridge and reheated for service like I did.
This has become our “go to” place for carry out. Some reviews here are out of date. This is not a seafood restaurant. Excellent traditional Cantonese, including shrimp, with a few Mongolian and Schezwan dishes. I do phone or online order, live nearby and leave right away, yet order is ready when I arrive or within a couple of minutes.
Taste of Tokyo
An amazing floating boat/conveyor belt sushi experience! The staff were so nice and checked in and interactive! All the food was delicious! Staff will sometimes make new creative dishes for you to try. Locals come in as well and the staff remember them! I highly recommend them!
Super friendly staff and atmosphere with wonderful food. Awesome option for those wanting to expand their sushi experience too as the little plates make it easy to try a variety of rolls without committing to a large portion. Everyone is very attentive, and they keep the atmosphere light and friendly.

The wings were crispy and coated in a sweet and spicy glaze, offering a balance of heat and sweetness. Each piece of sushi had a satisfying amount of fish. I hate when places skimp on the seafood. Will definitely be a return customer.
Update october 2024: IT IS STILL AMAZING!!! come to this place! i have been to others around and none like it! Unfortunately no more korean tacos but still everything else is delish! I have been here before. It is under new management and it is good! Their food is delicious! Today I had the korean tacos (slightly fried corn tortilla which is how the tortillas in mexico are for tacos), bulgogi bowl (has white rice and lettuce with whatever sauce you ask for), chicken ramen with chicken soup base. The atmosphere is cozy and modern. Best Korean restaurant I have been at many. Food is made fresh! The time before this that we came to eat we ordered the bulgogi ramen and shrimp tempura ramen. Spicy soup base. Was so delicious!!!! Definitely coming back!
Sushi Grove
This is the bomb! AYCE - all you can eat!!!!!!! Go ahead and try the all you can eat menu. Note not every roll on the regular menu is available on the ayce menu. So many choices. One waitress running the entire restaurant and she did it fabulously. Amazed! 4-7 sushi chefs behind the glass wall quickly and efficiently prepared each serving. They definitely aim for perfection and come very close. We enjoyed shrimp rolls, California rolls, spicy crab….couldn’t bring myself to try the eel. Maybe next time because everything was soooo good! One note… on one set of rolls the seaweed wrap was not edible. Like rubber couldn’t even cut with utensils.
Visited this restaurant for the first time today. Usually I drive to Chicago downtown to have sushi. Service was great, our server was very friendly, attentive and polite. He had a smile on his face the whole time and was very nice. Food was ok, most of sushi rolls were falling apart as soon as you try to take them. What upset me the most is that on their menu they have gyoza and didn't specify it's pork. They should have written "pork gyoza", not just gyoza, because there is chicken gyoza as well. We ordered gyoza, thinking it is chicken, since it isn't specified that it's pork, and only after we got it and my daughter took a bite, we got a feeling that it isn't chicken, and when Incalled the server and asked him, he said it's pork. That is an important thing they should mention in their menu.
Panda Express
Decent food and customer service. Just wanted to check out the Buffalo Grove location. Food was fresh and staff were welcoming as well. Fried rice took a bit of time to be prepared but understandable given that it is a newly opened one. Also, there were many drive through customers. But one of the staff was kind enough to check on us while we waited.
Came to support the new location! All the crew was so kind and really hooked up our plates. We came during the dinner rush around 5:30pm and our fried rice, chow mein, and orange chicken was FRESH. The interior is so cute and modern, the seating is comfy and clean. My new Panda spot!
Flambe India Buffalo Grove
Absolutely incredible dining experience! This Indian restaurant exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and inviting decor set the mood for a great evening. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to recommend dishes based on our preferences. The portions were generous, and everything tasted authentic, just like a home-cooked meal. The quality of ingredients really stood out. Five stars!!!!! I highly recommend the butter chicken.
Great taste in the paneer items. Good for dine as it has good ambiance. The appetizers were served quick enough but main course was delayed a lot. We had to request attention. It was a weekday and still felt short staffed. Only downer was that the samosas were stales, probably double fried and were too oil. Didn’t try their non veg dishes but they looked good. They have generous portion size. You may wanna ask about spice level based on your pallet. Most dishes had good amount of spice in them. Definitely recommend. Cocktails were great too.
