Ying Dim Sum
Visiting Aurora and tried this dim sum place. We did pickup of many dishes to try for lunch. All the dishes we tried were delicious. Faves include the Rice crepe with spare ribs, the shrimp & beep rice crepes were yummy too! Shrimp dumplings and soup dumplings with pork/shrimp was so authentic. I liked the chicken feet too! Sesame balls were so crispy and gooey- big hit. Would highly recommend š„°
Update 7/10/24: This place has officially passed my 3 times back test. Iāve been back multiple times, tried different things, and the food is just as delicious and just as fresh. They are consistently serving yummy dim sum. āā- šA humble and delicious dim sum food court stall new to the Aurora Park to Shop community. We enjoyed the Siu Mai and Deep fried dough sticks with soy milk on a Sunday morning. We then loved the food so much we went back and ordered some very freshly made sesame balls. Everything comes fresh and tasty and is made to order! Good portion sizes (for dim sum) too. They have a small self serve area for chilli oil, soy sauce, vinegar etc. Now for the critiques, this is a food court style shop! Donāt expect fancy service or seating, come here to enjoy the food. The shrimp crepe is a hard dish to master, especially on texture but I enjoyed how much shrimp we got with it. š¦ Update 7/10/24: This place is Prices are a little more expensive than Minghin but understandable for a small business just starting out in the food court and making everything by handš®. I enjoy the food and serving size here much much more. š¤°š» Itās a new place so give them some time to work out the kinks, will be back soon!
LEVEE KARAOKE & BBQ ä¹å³ KTV & ē§ē¤
We were there for four hours for NYE. Lovely place and great service. we found all of the songs except for one or two. (I2I by Tevin Campbell) but I think you can ask to have songs added. I'm glad I finally got to stop in.
We had a lot of fun here! The staff was awesome. The room service was fast. And the two ladies who checked on us were sweet and funny. The drinks are strong and tasty. (I highly recommend the strawberry soju) the kareoke machine can be complicated but just ask for help.) Overall can't wait to go back!
Pho Noodle Station
First and foremost, the service was outstanding. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and promptly seated us, making us feel right at home. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were always full and checking in at just the right times. Now, letās talk about the food. The pho noodles were absolutely divine! The broth was rich and flavorful, with the perfect balance of spices. Each bowl was generously filled with fresh herbs, tender meat, and perfectly cooked noodles. Itās clear that they use high-quality ingredients, and the flavors truly reflect that. I also appreciated the variety on the menu, offering something for everyone. The atmosphere of Pho Noodles Station is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. The decor is charming, and the ambiance is lively yet relaxed ā just the right vibe for enjoying a delicious meal. Cleanliness is another standout aspect of this establishment. The entire restaurant was spotless, from the tables to the restrooms, which speaks volumes about their attention to detail and commitment to providing a great dining experience.
As always food is great and affordable. I ordered chicken karage for appetizer, itās summer time so I had to get the bun vermicelli noodle salad and boba tea. Service was ok. Not a lot of people but the servers kinda rushes you to order right away. This is our go to place when we want to eat pho or noodle salad when we were still in the area. Ambience is still great like Id remember.
CM Korean Fried Chicken of Aurora - Park To Shop Supermarket (ģ¶©ė§ ģ¹ķØ)
Fantastic spot for a meal! The chicken had the perfect crunch, the sauce was yummy, and those fries were delicious . Only hiccup was the discrepancy between the price I was charged and what the self-checkout machine displayed. For example the price of the snow chicken came up as $18.99 vs $17.99 on the self checkout secreen. Hopefully, they'll fix that issue so all prices align smoothly.
Always high quality food at consistent basis. Always crisp, just the right amount of batter, not over-seasoned, tender meat, all good size wings/drums. Great variety of flavors and spice levels. Definitely the preferred Korean fried chicken brand compared to others. Very fast service.
Nawabi Hyderabad House - Biryani Place
Last week Friday my friends and me went for lunch, we ordered Rajugari goat pulav and vijayawada special chicken biriyani. Goat pulav was good but chicken it have more food color. And every time when I eat here in one thing Iām unsatisfied with food because they give pices more and rice less.š„² just a request please reduce the color and balance the biriyani.š
I visited this place a few years ago and was disappointed, so when my friends suggested going again, I was very skeptical. Reluctantly, I agreed, and I'm glad I did. They have significantly improved their vegetarian biryani options. Most of the staff is super nice and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere right from the start. The service is quick, and the food is affordable, which adds to the overall positive experience. We started with an appetizer called Baby Corn 65, which was just okay, but the biryani, especially the weekend special Vijayawada Biryani, was really good. The biryani featured pieces of deep-fried and marinated vegetables mixed with flavorful rice, making for a satisfying dish. We also tried the Ullavacharu Biryani, which was amazing. It had a unique flavor profile that stood out. Additionally, the puffs they offer are quite nice, and the masala soda is refreshing, providing a nice complement to the meal. Overall, this place has transformed into a good spot for biryani, thanks to updated management and better food than before. The improvement in their vegetarian biryani options is notable, and the quick, friendly service enhances the dining experience. Despite my initial skepticism, this visit turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The combination of affordable prices, tasty food, and a welcoming environment makes it worth a visit. In summary, if youāre looking for a good biryani place with improved vegetarian options and an overall better dining experience than before, give this place a try. The changes in management and menu have clearly paid off, making it a spot I would now recommend.
New China Hut
Tonight I ordered from New China Hut, and I have to say, the experience was flawless from start to finish. At all three stagesāthe phone order, the delivery, and the food itselfāeverything was beyond perfection. The phone order was taken with zero confusion, and the team made it seamless. The delivery was impressively quick, and the lovely young woman who dropped it off was super friendly (we accidentally traded pens thoughāso if youāre missing one, Iāve got it!). And then there was the foodāthe best Chinese food Iāve ever had! Every dish was packed with flavor, arrived steaming hot, and was cooked to absolute perfection. Special shout-out to the Friday night dream team, you all made the experience unforgettable. This is officially my go-to spot for Chinese food!
The food tastes great! But I ordered sizzling rice soup and was given what looks like egg drop soup.
Golden Corral Buffet & Grill
We try golden coral buffets everywhere we go. Its hard to find a super great one, its been hit or miss but this location has to be my absolute favorite Golden Coral by far, and we have tried quite a few. We have come here several times in the past, and it's still my favorite. We drive over an hour to come to this one. The food is very good and fresh, the variety is great. There are both red and green mexican Pozole soups at this location, which surprised me the first time we came to this location. The service is great, our waiter was nice. Everything I had tasted great. The flavor was good. I recommend this golden coral location if you're in the area. šš
We came here for dinner and there was no one at the front to let us pay so we could go sit. A kitchen staff member had to come out to ring us up. We sat down and got a friendly server but sadly we could not communicate as she only spoke Spanish. I went up to get food and the first bowl I picked up was covered in caked on food. Decided to grab plates instead, the same kitchen staff who came to ring us up happened to be the grill cook and he was on his phone while handling the food. The steak was mostly fat. A few of us had gone through our drinks and had asked to get refills which never happened. So I had to go get refills from the front where I was asked twice if I'd already paid and had said yes both times. It was not a great experience but we ate and left.
Lao Sze Chuan Aurora
Our family comes by here often. Recently we have gotten take out from here and they are always willing to make any changes we may need to our food which is very impressive. Food itself is tasty. Some dishes are better than others but I have usually always enjoyed our meals with them. I also like how considerate they are in their take out packaging. Making sure to separate stuff like sauce/fried food as well as soup and noodles. The main issue recently we have faced with the restaurant was that we ordered a beef noodle soup with noodles to go and the noodle quality was not good, there was a weird oily after taste to them. However, their soup broth was very tasty. All in all, a nice, Szechuan option around the area.
This was our first time here and I'm so glad we tried it. Restaurant was comfortable, nice decor, not loud. Wait staff was friendly without being imposing. They have a very cute robot cat that delivers the food. So cute š. The menu has some tried and true dishes as well as more unique offerings. We started with dumplings, then I had the crispy shrimp and my husband had Tony's chicken. Everything was delicious. We will definitely come here again.
Szechuan House
Overall the food is quite average. We ordered Hot and Sour soup, i will definitely recommend this one, it was appetizing. Of those dishes that was posted below, it costs around $55. Big portion, we can't finish it.
Best Sichuan cuisine in Chicagoland. The Dan Dan noodles are excellent! Try the twice cooked fish fillets! (not your grandma's fish fry) It is here that you can find the REAL Sichuan Sauce, Rick and Morty. Wub.. ...and garlic Tong Hao! :D Update: make note of the tetrahexahedra in the lighting. Cool.
Ah Chungās Kitchen
My husband first tried this restaurant and raved about it. I was skeptical in the beginning. But, he tried so hard to convince me to try this restaurant, so I gave in eventually. Long story short, I tried it and was impressed. I would say this restaurant sells Taiwanese dishes. Service is excellent and food is delicious. Very flavorful. My favorite one is the pork leg, very tender and flavorful. I highly recommend this restaurant. Price: $$ Service: 5 stars Food: 5 stars
Absolutely loved my experience at Ah Chungās! This family-owned gem serves the most authentic Taiwanese cuisine Iāve had. Every dish tasted like it was made with love and passed down through generations, capturing the rich flavors and textures that make Taiwanese food so special. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were generous. If youāre looking for an unforgettable meal thatās both comforting and exciting, look no further. You wonāt regret dining hereāthis place is the real deal! Highly recommended! Dishes ordered were: honey walnut shrimp, crab Rangoon, beef noodle soup, orange chicken, chao mi Fen, and quin saun nen tofu.
Chi Noodle
Chi noodles, Hong Kong style noodles I cant say itās the best but its probably best in town! Located inside the park to shop Chinese grocery mall/store we normally get a bowl of egg noodles with ham, red sausage, wonton & beef, second bowl is normally egg noodles as well with two order of red sausage, chicken wings and wonton. The wonton is fresh, not like other frozen LOL! I also like their āshark fin soupā, not exactly like the ones in HK but hey at least they are available here lol
Located inside the Park to Shop. First time we went, I got the beef bowl with egg noodles and my wife got the seafood. (First photo) We both loved the beef bowl so much that when we came back, we both got beef bowls! (Second photo) We thought about trying one of the other restaurants in the plaza but brisket in beef bowl is just that good. Highly recommend!
Tasty Chef
True family run business. We were so impressed watching 3 generations running the business and cooking our food from scratch. The food was amazing. We will be back.
Family run place in food court with Asian take out fare. You can shop in the grocery store and select items to be cooked, $6 per pound. Nice selection and execution of traditional take out. Seasoning can be good but not consistent. Cashier not familiar with menu. Wait time can be excessive. Not the usual 20-25 minutes.
