Hanshin Pocha
I have been here for a while and by chance, I discovered this treasure restaurant. It feels like a pub in a Korean movie. most people who come here are Korean, so of course the taste is not bad. More than 20 years ago, when I was in China, there were many Chinese Koreans around me, and there were also many Korean dishes in my hometown. Of course, I also love Korean food very much, so I really love this restaurant and come almost every week. The service staff inside are also super enthusiastic ππππππ
If you are looking for Korean style bar/restaurant after watching K-drama then this is the place. I am regular here and have tasted a lot of their food. Food never disappoints. Place is not for underage since it is a bar even though they do serve food with rice and multiple side dishes.

Ordered for carry out today. Food is great and what an excellent customer service. I went in to collect my order, the man at the checkout was not only super nice but also offered me some extra sauce. I love their vegetable dish and fried egg rollsπ₯°
Beautiful restaurant with good service. The sausagee appetizer is very delicious, not too spicy. I ordered the Hawaiian chicken, expecting something sweet and spicy, but it was more like sweet and sour chicken. I should have known since it's not a normal Thai dish. Basil Fried Rice was very good, with many vegetables and protein. Pad Kie Mao w/ shrimp lacked flavor and not spicy (reviewed by my Thai wife). My daughter liked the Pad see ew. I asked for Thai Hot for my orders but found it to be maybe medium. I would like to give more than 3 stars, but I've had better.
Tensuke Market and Food Court
Neat little Japanese marketplace with a food court in the back, which I have eaten in on three separate occasions. The supermarket is small, but I have found it to be much homelier even as far as Japanese (and other Asian) supermarkets go in this region. Most selections are typical for other such supermarkets, and there is a section close to the front entrance where one can pick up bento meals made fresh in store that day. I have also had very friendly interactions with the staff present. As for the food court, I have found this generally to be a much more pleasant experience than to order the same food at one of the tenants of Mitsuwa Marketplace (which is roughly five minutes north on Arlington Heights Road). One gets a lot of value for the price over in this establishment (typically no more than 15 bucks a meal), and I have never had a problem locating seating in this establishment (compared to Mitsuwa's food court, which is at capacity most of the time during peak meal time). This is likely due to the hole-in-the-wall atmosphere that this place conveys.
The food was delicious. The price was reasonable and the serving size was generous, which was unexpected for a Japanese restaurant, as they typically serve small portions. I will definitely return.
