King Restaurant & Bar
Food is really good and the portion is huge.....price is ok and good service....parking is a little bit tricky due to limited availability....but overall place is really good
Had a quick lunch of shu Mai, Har gow and some pan fried item they recommend. Dumplings were already hot and came out instantly. Really really good flavor and the shu Mai had pork and mushroom with fish eggs on top. It looked a little weirder than ones I've had before but they were excellent. Har gow flavor was great too.
The Mandarin Restaurant
The lemon chicken was 3 stars, the egg drop soup on a cold and rainy day was very nice and I’d give it 4 stars, and the quick takeout preparation and value being it to 4 stars overall. The chicken was fine but not very flavorful, decent quality chicken. The portions weren’t huge but that was fine, it was a bit more than a single serving of chicken, and a small side soup—it’s basically one meal, and it costs about what one meal should. It feels expensive, but compared to everything else on Oahu it’s a normal meal, and compared to other Chinese takeout it’s nice to have the option to not get a ton of food. I tried to order hot and sour soup without pork and they couldn’t do that, so that was one downside.
Misleading prices on their website. Ordered takeout and price was $15 more than what was advertised online. Apparently the menu on their website is from “a long long time ago” and yet they haven’t updated their website to reflect changes that are supposedly years old. Wouldn’t complain if the food matched the cost, but the quality and flavor was just okay.
Yi Xin Cafe
If you're looking for authentic Chinese cuisine with bold, unforgettable flavors, Yi Xin Cafe is where you need to be. Hands down, this is the best Chinese food on Oahu, and I can't stop thinking about the incredibly amazing meal we had here. First, the food. Every dish was bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The showstopper for me always? Their Sizzling Black Bean Beef. As soon as it arrived, that incredible aroma of savory black bean sauce and tender beef sizzling on the hot plate filled the air. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, coated in a sauce so flavorful it's hard to put into words. The caramelized onions and crisp vegetables added a perfect texture to balance the richness. It's the kind of dish that steals the show and has you dreaming about your next visit. But the real game-changer? Their chef's special menu. It takes everything you love about Chinese food and elevates it to another level. You can tell every dish is made with passion and precision. Their Salted Fish Chicken Eggplant is a savory masterpiece, rich and perfectly balanced. The Szechuan Spicy JJ Chicken Pot packs a punch with just the right amount of heat and complexity in every bite. And let me tell you, their Honey Walnut Shrimp? Pure perfection--crispy, creamy, and just sweet enough to keep you coming back for more. Even their classy Pickled Radish was an excellent standout-refreshing and the perfect palate cleanser between bites. Beyond the food, the service here was just as amazing. The staff made us feel so welcome and consistently checked in to make sure everything was perfect. Whether it was topping off our tea (and water) or asking how the meal was, they were attentive without being overbearing. It's that kind of care and hospitality that makes a meal here not just a dining experience but something truly memorable. Yi Xin Cafe is an absolute gem, and I honestly can't recommend it enough. If you haven't been, you're seriously missing out. Do yourself a favor--go, bring your friends and family, and prepare to be blown away!
Yi Xin Cafe serves up bold and flavorful singaporean dishes. From omelets, to rice bowls, and fried chicken, each dish has a unique flavor identity and texture while enjoying how fresh tasting it is. A must try and a good place for groups.
Duck Lee Chinese Express Foods
went here around 3 and was no wait. very kind family n amazing food. the dumplings are very tasty. would come back for lunch again.
Duck Lee has been on our list for sometime.. We saw few people queuing up before the opening hours. We ordered 2 choice plates. They had many items to chose from. We also bought BBQ pork Manapua and Chicken glutenous rice. Many items on the menu had “sold out” sign...so I asked the lady if you have to come very early in the morning to get what you want. She told me, they don’t make everything everyday. It is my own opinion about the food... all were just okay. I am glad I tried the place out though.
