Roast Duck Kitchen Inc
The roast duck and roast pork are good, but I wish they'd throw in a can of soda for the price. Lots of cabbage under the meat. Only for take out. There's one bench outside for customers waiting for orders.
The Roast Duck Kitchen is always a must visit for me whenever Im visiting. My family wanted Roast Duck for our family gathering, so I ordered ahead of time. They prepare for you when you arrive. I also ordered a plate of crispy gau gee and fried rice. Everything is made to order and food came out hot and fresh. Make sure to call in your order.
Ten Second Yunnan Rice Noodle Hawaii
Very underrated restaurant. Very flavorful food & drinks, good service and good prices. We got the calamari, pork dumplings and spring rolls which were seasoned perfectly. Winter melon tea and plum juice are exquisite. The ideal amount of sweetnesss and flavors very memorable. And ofcourse the soufflé pancake, we chose brown sugar boba and it was absolute perfection. We will definitely return again to try the rest of the menu
Located upstairs of Pearl Ridge Center Mall. We decided to eat here when we saw it while shopping since we haven’t had Yunnan Rice Noodles for many years. This is a more modern version of Yunnan’s stable with a very nice presentation and an easy way to order your options. We both got the bone base soup with fatty beef. The flavoring wasn’t overpowering and it was quite tasty. With 8 or 9 small dishes of ingredients all mixed together with the soup and the rice noodles, it was delightful. We also ordered the deep fried dumplings, which were okay, but not that good and tasted like grilled instead of deep fried. So I would not recommend getting the dumplings. The service was excellent and friendly. If you never have had yin a rice noodles, then you should stop by this place to check it out.
Waimalu Chop Suey
Bottom line, this is a cheap no-frills Chinese place that will serve you quantity over quality. Not gonna lie though, I felt pretty gross afterwards and severely needed fresh veggies lol. Went there for lunch and got the dinner plate, because honestly it was only like 65 cents extra compared to lunch plate for fried shrimp and fried rice. The sheer amount of options and different items on the plate make it cost effective, but temper your expectations because the food is very meh. Even the pork were all cold, signifying they're just reheating it all out of the fridge. The fried shrimp was way too much batter. The chow mein was good, but the sauce was so gloopy with corn starch. Could only finish half, and debating if I wanna finish the other half for lunch tomorrow BUT! THE WINNER WINNET GAU GEE DINNER. So the fried gau gee is $14.99 and comes in a portion of 8, but jeez Louise are these the BIGGEST PLUMPEST GAU GEE you ever did see. Like they're so stuff, and worth the price. A side dish of mustard comes too so you can make your own shoyu mustard for dipping. All else, I will just be ordering these gau gee for potlucks. Service was fine, servers were nice. Lots of tables inside. Again, no frills.
my brother & sister-in- law were in town for the day from Big Island. he wanted to go back to Waimalu for the jumbo crispy gau gee. he'd ordered it to take home last time he was here for work. today he ordered his favorite ~ oyster sauce 🐔 w/ cake noodle & the steamed pork hash. we also had beef w/ sweet sour cabbage and s/s spareribs. oyster sauce chicken was good - big pieces of tender 🐔, bite size pieces of cake noodle & choy sum. sweet sour cabbage itself was ono w/ tender pieces of beef. pork hash was ok. piece of s/s spareribs i had was chewy. they went home with the LOs + another order of jumbo crispy gau gee & roast pork 😋 which he'd also taken home last time
Golden Wheel Chinese Restaurant
New owners as of Oct 24. No more lunch special, more concise menu and an updated feel! I think the portions are a but bigger and the food tastes a bit more ono! Faves are still sweet sour fish, salt n pepper shrimp, and steamed fish. The owner is the chef and Kelly usually runs the front house! I will enjoy continuing to go eat here! There is a new 3% credit card surcharge.
Sunday Funday with Mommy Dearest. Today, she wanted Chinese. We used to come here a lot and it brought back many good memories. They've been around for a long time. Mom and Pop operated. Small, very cozy place. But the food packs huge flavors. You can't beat the price here.
Panda Express
Food is great. Atmosphere is amazing inside the center. Your process for online orders is not 100%. Had a soda ordered and it was not apart of the order. Recommend to put it with the order/put it in the bag so when the customer comes to pick up the order, it is included. I left without all the items in the bag, assuming all items were in the bag. I'll take the cost hit, but will hit you with the review to fix.
Went to pandas to purchase a drink with my cashapp card, didn’t noticed till a few days they charged me for the drink and then a whole separate transaction right after that was charged idk how. Tried filing a dispute and contacting the establishment but no answer.
