Oriental Kitchen
Let me start by saying, this is my first time visiting this establishment, it could very well be that today the cooking was off. I ordered the lunch portion of chicken and broccoli with fried rice, as soon as I saw it I knew it was going to be bad. It looked and tasted bland, it was watery and there were only 3 pieces of chicken and not very much broccoli either. The fried rice was bland and hard like if it was old rice. The spring roll, I had to spit out, it was just horrible tasting!! My husband ordered General Tso’s chicken, that was ok. And my teenagers got orange chicken, it was edible but not quality, had a bunch of cherries from a jar. Chinese food is one of my favorite food and I have had my fair share, this could have easily been one of the worst I have ever had. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to spend another $50 just to see if it was just today that the food was bad.
Just moved to the area. I ordered through Uber Eats....didn't realize the distance until after placing the order. Regardless of the distance(over 30 min away), the food was still fresh and warm. I've had a decent amount of Chinese food in my lifetime. Loved their Wonton soup. Its the traditional base of wonton with shrimp and other veggies added. Well worth the cost. I also ordered Potstickets and Chicken Lo Mein. Both were freshly made. Working in the restaurant industry, I know they prep certain items ahead of time to have on hand throughout the day. Both were made this morning. The Lo Mein couldve had a little more flavor but adding soy sauce helped. I personally like ALOT of flavor. The to go container was packed full as well. Reading other reviews saying they're overpriced is NOT accurate!!! I got soup, appetizer, and a huge amount of food for $23. It was lunchtime. I'm sure prices go up slightly for dinner. Still worth it.
Hong Kong Restaurant
This is the worse Egg Foo Young I have ever had. They didn't put any shrimp in the patties. I literally had to add my own shrimp to the Shrimp and Food Young. The food was tasteless they out too many carrots and not enough sprouts. It's dry and they should not be allowed to make this ever again. Save your money and go to Peking Chinese restaurant on loganville Hwy in Barrow Crossing. The price is similar and you get 3 patties either way some shrimp in them.
Love their food! The hot and sour soup is amazing! I've yet to find flavors like theirs. Been coming here for years and I always have a great experience! Customer for life!
Ichiban Buffet
I was immediately greeted upon entering. I came in about 4:30. Staff is friendly. Although the building may not be the newest, the place was clean. The bathroom was clean often. The waitresses did a fantastic job cleaning up as people left. Tables were you left, waiting to ve cleaned off. They were attentive.. So much so that I tipped almost half of what I paid. Food was fresh and tasted good. The gentleman who made the sushi knew what he was doing. Twice when I went to get food, there was a gentleman that came put and informed what was needed at the buffet. Very efficient! I've not seen that before at any buffet. It's like other Chinese/Asian buffets I've been to, as far as what they offer. I've been to others that offer more. Would I recommend them or return? Yes. The photos are if what I ate.... that's how good it was! 😁🤗 They did have various ice cream bars ice cream in smaller containers, as well as other dessert. I like the sanitary aspect of that instead of open containers of ice cream and many different people using the ice cream scoops... imagine the kids!! 😅 So I would give a plus for the packaged ice cream desserts.
My daughter n law and I left the men and kids at home with a full meal prepaeed and she and I went to the buffet. We enjoyed it very much! The time together, the food, and the service were great! They were giving little holiday trinkets, headbands, arm balloons, and whatnot to the kids. It was really nice. Thank you all and Happy New Year!
China Wok
Yes, I'm giving this 5 stars all around! I'm from NY and one of my biggest issues was finding decent Chinese food. I have found a few places that have maybe 1 or 2 passable dishes, but nothing that was all around delicious and what I was used to. UNTIL NOW! I haven't been able to find anyone that makes pork fried rice or boneless spare ribs like NY and this place does! All of their sauces were spot on and the vegetable were crunchy and delicious! My only complaint is that I live an hour away and am legit sad that I can't come back as often as I want to. I'm so happy I stopped here. Thank you, China Wok for making these 2 NY'ers happy!!!
My husband got buffalo wings and I got chicken w/broccoli combo and 2 eggrolls. If I could give zero stars and leave a review, I would. But unfortunately you can't. I have never been disappointed and disgusted at my food ever. I thought chicken fried rice was supposed to have egg?? I guess not. The pork fried rice is nasty, taste like old pork. But that wasn't even the worst part. My meal came with an eggroll, so I decided to buy two more. Not only were my egg rolls OLD,HARD AND DRY. They were raw as well. How can somthing cooked be raw? All three of my egg rolls went to the trash. ANOTHER THING, Do the wings in the picture look like buffalo wings? I think not! Buffalo wings have an orange/red color. The wings were sweet and not spicy at all! They gave me nasty rice, raw old eggrolls, and sweet wings. Money wasted at this place. I would not recommend buying food from here. I would rather go to Jades dragon over at Lawrenceville Suwanee.
King Buffet
We live about a mile away from King Buffet for about 4 years. Last week we got a flyer in our mailbox and decided to give it a try. Today (Wednesday) my daughter and I went in several minutes after the buffet starts (started at 11AM). Other than the little salad station, there are nothing on the other station at all, only like one or two dishes on each of the other stations. There's not even fried rice. I looked at the rice cooker and there's a little bit of rice at the bottom, maybe it was leftover from Monday (they don't open on Tuesday). We decided to put in our plate whatever are there. Later on, there's more foods brought out. We sample the majority of the food (other than the salad bar). All the foods we ate are too salty, even green beans, and not tasty at all. About 15 minutes later, another family of 3 came in (Caucasians), before that we were the only customers. Hope they are regulars so that they won't be upset for the lack of foods. I don't recommend this place. But if you must go, try to go like an hour after they open and hopefully there will be more foods brought out. But the foods still be too salty and not tasty.
Food and service we're very horrible, one of the cooks came in from outside from his vehicle and went in the kitchen and did not wash his hands. I was over charged for the buffet and when trying to speak to cashier regarding quality and service she was very rude, I will not return as a customer to this establishment. I would recommend you drive elsewhere if quality Chinese food is what you are seeking. The outside appearance matches the inside. If I could rate it a zero I would but that's not an option
