Teriyaki Chicken Express 0

Teriyaki Chicken Express

I got the teriyaki beef combo (comes with egg roll & drink). They do not have sweet tea. The rice & vegetables were good, but the meat was chewy. The employees working were really sweet.

The staff was very friendly and I hope that they succeed. The teriyaki chicken and pot stickers were pretty good. However, the fried rice needs some work. It’s very mild, almost white rice. The flavor that is there is good (mostly onion) but it needs more of a salt/soy flavor or maybe even some teriyaki notes to improve it. The regular chicken and steak that comes with the fried rice is acceptable. Overall the service was very good, but the Rice needs some improvement. I will be back soon to see if it has improved.

Called ahead for order. Told 15 minutes. Got to the dirty restaurant 15 minutes later and behind a walk-in 2 person order. The people who ordered in the store got their food before me. 30 minutes later after I had already paid, got my food with a too bad attitude from cashier! Food was ok, nothing special. Run down needs upgrade, dump hole in the wall atmosphere. Don't pay and walk out if you order is not ready when promised!

This was the first time I've been here and I ordered 6 wings (lemon pepper), fries and a steak and cheese egg roll. The wings were way too salty, it was so bad I had to remove as much of the skin and seasoning as I could just to eat them. They were also really small so I didn't feel like I was getting my money's worth, and there were only two sticks of celery and one carrot. The fries were good and the steak and cheese egg roll was pretty good, but I probably wouldn't order the egg roll again if I went back. Based on this experience alone I'd probably rate it 3 stars, but I'll leave it at 4 since there are a lot of other items on the menu that I haven't tried and the staff was really polite and helpful. I was really hoping to like this place because it's so close to my house, but I just wasn't too impressed. I may give it one more chance and try the hibachi next time.

I was genuinely surprised at how great everything was. I haven’t eaten at chain restaurants much over the past 5 years or so, but my family wanted to come. There were 8 of us and everyone loved what they got, which was mostly orders of the Whole Lotta Bacon Burger and Steak and Shrimp. Regina D. was so sweet and attentive. She got everything done perfectly. We will be coming back soon!

Great service! Our waitress, Aubrey, handled our table like a pro—even with our large family and my picky husband. She was friendly, attentive, and had a positive attitude the whole time. Very helpful and patient, making our experience even better.

Kari House

Excellent Malaysian food can be found at Kari House in Sugar Hill / Buford. The restaurant is in an unassuming shopping plaza and parking is a little tricky as most available spots are time restricted from a few minutes to 1 hour, but don't let that distract you from coming to excellent Kari House. My friend is more familiar with Malaysian food and said their food was legit and tasted very high quality and authentic. Me not being that familiar with Malaysian food asked for recommendations from the cashier who made excellent suggestions and I was happy with our entire meal. The main dish was large enough to take some home. Prices were a bit high but the quality and authenticity of this restaurant made the meal worth it. High marks and a thank you to Kari House for a delicious meal. 5 stars and a we will be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kari House is a hidden gem that’s definitely worth a visit! We tried a few dishes and loved each one. We started with the Roti, a fried bread served with curry dipping sauce. My American partner found it spicy, though for those familiar with Asian spices, it’s just right! The Ipoh Ho Fun—a chicken noodle soup—had an incredibly flavorful broth and tender shredded chicken. Although it came with quite a lot of noodles, it was still a fantastic choice. The Chef’s Special Fish, a fried catfish filet in a sweet and spicy sauce, was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. Finally, we ordered the Hainanese Chicken. It took a bit longer to arrive (about 30 minutes), but it was well worth the wait—the chicken was incredibly juicy! The atmosphere is cozy, with a relaxed, take-out vibe. You can order at the counter or sit down for table service, which we opted for. There’s also a self-serve water station, adding a nice casual touch. Service was great; it’s a mom-and-pop spot that really deserves local support. With entrees around $15 each, the pricing is very fair for the quality. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend Kari House—5/5 stars!

Great China

Absolutely love Great China in Sugar Hill! This place is a gem for fast, tasty Chinese takeout. The family that runs it has been in the business for years, and you can taste the consistency and dedication in every dish. It's not fancy, but that's the charm – they know what they're doing, and they do it well. My order is always ready in about 10 minutes and hits the spot every time. If you're looking for quick, delicious Chinese food without the frills, Great China is the go-to. Fast, flavorful, and reliable – highly recommend!

**** ⚠️ PEANUT ALLERGY WARNING ⚠️ **** Last night we ordered take out from here and assumed the things that we ordered did not have peanuts, since they weren't things that traditionally had peanuts, like beef lo mein. Everything turned out okay, but we did end up having to use their epipens and call EMTs. Afterward, the restaurant was absolutely amazing and did offer us some refund. I did tell them that I would fix some of this review and you should know that they were very prompt with their response and very concerned for the girls, which was nice. I'm only leaving the allergy alert because there are other people with peanut allergies and they don't mark it on the menus. It turns out that they have peanuts in their lo mein sauce and a few other things, that they don't specifically disclose. No, legally they don't have to disclose that, which is a different problem. They also told me if we had mentioned that the girls had peanut allergies, they would have recommended only things that were steamed, or not recommended the restaurant in general, which is good. All in all, the food is good, the service is great, but if you have peanut allergies, the restaurant and I both recommend not eating here.

Just walking inside of this place feels gross... I hate to say that I didn't get a chance to try their food, which I feel like skews my review. However, I did walk in to make an order, and the guy there was using his hands to scoop in the fried wontons for soup... It was like this little bowl and his hands. I noped the hell out of there immediately, since he was also the one running the register and taking orders without washing his hands. They have an 81 / B for food safety on their wall. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a B? Especially an 81, so close to a C...

I got the chicken lo mein and it was bussin and yummy then when I got out it I found this hard glass like or bone I'm not sure thing when I took a bite 😔 but food is good I just don't like that thiers some random thing in my food. But other than that the cookie and Dr Pepper slapped.
