It's honestly not too bad. At times the rice doesn't seem fully cooked, so I stick with the noodles. The bourbon chicken is usually overcooked, however the other options are delicious. The only issue I have is their egg rolls and spring rolls. For the price they want for 1, you should get 2 because of how tiny they are. These egg rolls and spring rolls are literally half the size, if not smaller, than your average Chinese place. One other thing is they need to where it's one main entree choice and not a minimum of 2. Love the staff, though. They are so kind and nice!
Finally somewhere outside of savannah where you can get that classic bourbon chicken. They filled my tray up and it was for a very fair price. I will be coming again anytime I go to walmart! Highly recommend
Panda Express
Absolutely no. The noodle were “hot” and fresh from the back. They were so dry. I put the sauce on the noodles without 1st tasting the sauce. Big mistake. The soy sauce is so salty. The orange chicken-no. The peppered steak tasted ok but it was mostly vegetables with some steak pieces. It was a waste of my money. The employees were friendly though. 🤷🏽♀️
My brother in Christ. I've never been more disappointed to crave me some Panda. Just to have some dry noodles. And Broccoli too hard to bite.
New Super Buffet
It’s a nice spot! While it’s a bit on the smaller side and the food variety could be better, everything we had was really good! My family and I had a wonderful time there. It might not be the best buffet I’ve ever visited, but compared to others in Savannah, it definitely stood out as a great choice!
I had heard great things about this buffet, so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The atmosphere was average—understandably busy since it was a Sunday, but nothing particularly special. The food was also just okay. There weren’t as many options as I expected, and a lot of the dishes tasted similar. While nothing was necessarily bad, there wasn’t anything that stood out either. Overall, it was an average experience. I wouldn’t say it was bad, but personally, it’s not a place I’d be in a hurry to visit again.
New China Restaurant
Ordered the large peppered steak, opened the box and it was 98% onions and bell peppers. There might have been 3 pieces of steak. For 17 dollars you’d think there would be a good meat to veg ratio but there isn’t.
Very good Chinese Food. The large is big enough for 2 people and is $12.20. All fresh ingredients. Stir Fry's come with a generous portion of steamed rice.
Mei Jia Restaurant
I also go under MajrPayneNurAss and I've have done a lot of reviews. That being said I ordered sesame chicken and fried rice. This is by far the best sesame chicken I've eaten in the area. The rice is without seasoning so I mixed the two together. Condiments didn't come with the food. I'm wondering if they taste the food before ordering it. So what have we learned here today? Season your food and make sure cutlery and condiments are in the bag.
While the food is not the best it is satisfying enough to fulfill your taste for Chinese. In my opinion the food lacks flavor, it’s quite bland. Soy & duck sauce is a must. I ordered shrimp with garlic sauce/shrimp fried rice, shrimp lo mein & a shrimp egg roll. I’d say the portions are suitable for what you pay. Also, the restaurant appears to be pretty clean. Overall, everything was decent & I’d recommend this establishment to someone looking for Chinese in the area.
Peking Chinese Restaurant
I had the opportunity to meet the woman that owns this restraunt. As we were chatting about food and recipes, I lamented that I hadn't had good Chinese in years. She said "well I own a Chinese restaurant, you should go check us out ". Our chat provoked a serious craving. 25 minutes later I was in her place ordering my favorites. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! My only issue..is that this comfort food GEM is an hour away from where I live. The plus, I never have to wonder where to stop to eat when making a trip into Pooler or on my way to Savannah!! I will definitely be back!
There HOUSE FRIED RICE DOES NOT COME WITH BEEF. So if you want REAL house fried with beef, chicken, pork, and shrimp this is not the place. I want to get what I pay for.
