Peking Garden
We live in Canton, and decided to ride the 20 miles to check this out. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall off of 515, with easy access from Hwy 53, also. I was very happy with the Hot & Sour soup, as I haven't been able to find any I like in Canton. The food came hot, which was impressive. The Cashew Chicken was good, as was the Beef Lo Mein. I liked the freshness, and crunch of the vegetables in the Kung Pao Chicken, but could have been seasoned a bit more. Advertised as spicy, it didn't even make my head sweat, (my spice monitor). Also, just a bit bland. I'm not a fan of restaurants that bring soft drinks in cans to the table, but not that big of a deal. If we are in the neighborhood, we wouldn't mind going back. The staff was friendly, and courteous. The restaurant appeared very clean. There was plenty of parking, and easy handicap access to this ground level restaurant
What a delightful surprise! Traveling home we wanted a healthy meal and found the nicest Chinese food restaurant along our route. We had fast fresh and hot food with incredibly attentive service in an exceptionally decorated restaurant. It was so beautiful. We had egg drop soup and hot and sour soup, vegetable egg rolls, beef and broccoli and mu shu chicken-both of which were the best of either I’ve ever had. And we love Asian food so that’s saying something! I think we will keep this place in mind when we go up for apples and pumpkins or day trips to Blue Ridge. It’s definitely on my mind to find ways to get there soon!!!
golden bowl Chinese buffet
A small diner. Pleasant service, pleasant and clean place, food is clean and pleasantly served. Cannot say the spread is huge. But worth the price you pay. I specially loved the cleanliness. Staff is attentive and make sure buffet containers are not empty. We were late for lunch and place was not crowded. We were a bunch of people who are vegetarians, pescatarians and people who eats anything. The spread was quite good for our preferences and we recommend this place for everyone. Especially want to mention that the restrooms were clean.
They have the best crab and cheese dish as well as sautéed mushrooms. They're so good that I always get the buffet plate to fill up on them. Im not actually sure if they even have menu ordering. The other dishes that I've tried, like the egg drop soup and sesame chicken, have also been very good. Service is excellent. The owners/employees are very nice.
China Express
Best food in town. Best Singapore Mei fun in the tristate. No one else compares. Best noodle. Great flavor. Always welcomed. Will return each time in area.
I love the selection available here... They have been more than willing to accommodate special requests and they make delicious food. Honestly my favorite Chinese restaurant!
Hard Wok Cafe
We dropped in on our way to an event nearby..found the restaurant clean and quiet early on a Friday evening...food was hot and fresh....wife had shrimp and broccoli and I had Chicken and broccoli...
10 years later, Hard Wok is still my favorite Chinese place anywhere around. Wonderful couple running it for years, always consistent, always satisfied. Great food, good prices. Try the salt & pepper shrimp, very addictive.
Jin Jin Chinese Restaurant
Junky american style chinese. 👎 If you are looking for authentic Hot & Sour soup like I was to help with my flu then look elsewhere. Their recipie has no white pepper or black rice vinegar and they add a TON of sugar or sweetener to the broth. Tastes way too sweet no spicy, no sour, no shitake or lily buds or wood ear mushroom. This was NOT hot and sour soup. I went back to have it re-made and it came out tasting the same. Waste of time and money, look elsewhere for authentic chinese soups.
Very upset with this. I ordered a quart of sweet and sour chicken. This is what I got. It was overcooked and filled with rice. We usually order here once a week, but they refused to fix it, so I will not be back
Asian Express
Pretty good little restaurant of Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Great service, very clean. Los if food for the money.
I love Chinese food. This food was good but I was a bit misled on what I would be receiving. I specifically asked if they had any lunch or dinner plates to include a meat, rice or noodle, and an egg roll. They said they had lunch plates and asked if I wanted a large or small. I ordered a large orange chicken and a small boneless rib lunch plates. I got a large thing of chicken. It had some orange peels in it but I’m not sure if I would call it orange chicken. I got a small boneless rib. And a single small tub of rice. I did not get lunch plates. So, the food was good but was not what I wanted or expected.
Panda Express
We were welcomed when we walked in the door. While I was ordering Iwas informed that the chicken I had ordered was spicy and contained peanuts. I appreciated the fact that she was looking out for any allergies i might have had. The food was hot and fresh, and the restaurant was clean.
Brian N helped us out late at night about 20 minutes to closing with a large order and did not complain, gave us advice on how to make it the most cost effective, gave us tips on Panda’s sauce offerings and was generally a good experience to work with. Really appreciate seeing a worker staying on task and being friendly up until the place actually closes. Much better than some of the daytime interactions I’ve had here.
Panda Express
First time here after the remodeling, it’s much better than before. Ordering at kiosk saves lot of time, you don’t need grubhub account, can use paw point/credit card). With the new seating arrangement its easier to walk. Food pretty much is the same, I tried the limited time item chilli crisp shrimp and I think its the best item from panda. Certainly the most savory item and not sweet like other stuff, mild hot so easy on palette.
This Panda is not my favorite Panda Express I’ve been to. I personally enjoy broccoli and beef. I’m not sure if others just don’t order it at this location but almost every time I eat here the b&b is old and soggy. The rest of the food is generally pretty hot and good. The service is only okay which I understand. They’re super busy with feeding the staff and students. The atmosphere is good but bad? Nice and clean but the sitting is all open food court style and very compact. Tends to get loud in busy times. Overall, good experience
Hibachi Grill Buffet
Very good food. Had crab legs , mudd buggs, shrimp, frog eggs and all the normal Chinese food and hibachi grill.
Food wasn't really hot. Not seasoned. Wonton soup seemed like it was frozen and tasteless. Stuff was dried out.
Chang An Chinese Restaurant
I lived on Okinawa a year so I love Asian food. I've tried the steak and peppers and moogoogaipàn and steak fried rice wasn't crazy about the moogoogaipàn but loved steak and green peppers and rice. All my food is delivery but was very satisfied with portions they always last me two days I plan on trying other items in the future.
Went to the pickens location and the lady at the register was very rude to us. Yelling how many people as she was shaking two forks in our face. She wouldn't even let my wife look at the buffet before we paid thirty-two dollars. We left. Had to go and get margaritas just to calm my nerves
Panda Express
I decided to introduce my mom to Panda Express since she had never been there before. I chose a bowl with orange chicken and white rice, while she opted for a plate featuring both orange chicken and shrimp, which were generously portioned. The flavors were delightful, but my main complaint was the level of heat in the dishes! The protein was quite spicy, and although we both enjoy a bit of heat, it felt overwhelming at times. I’m not sure if this is a recent change, as I’ve eaten at Panda Express before without encountering such intensity, but we both ended up sweating from the spiciness.
I been here a few times last couple months and no issues. I got a bowl teriyaki chicken and chow mein. Only to see a huge piece of hard plastic on the bottom of my bowl. So traumatizing. Hard black piece of plastic. I plan to email corporate. I would never make this up this is very real and upsetting.
