House of Chen
First time here. located right off of McGinnis Ferry Rd and east to find and park. Not a fancy restaurant but had ample seating and take outs. Prices is reasonable and so is the proportion of the food. The flavor is on the milder side so if you like spicy, ask them to make it that way or grab hot sauce. The takeout was ready quickly and the staff is very friendly. They also serve lunch plates at decent price which I plan on trying next time.
Nasty old hard chicken wing-sticky hard rice-beef tasted weird? Spring roll was 2” long and about 1/2 inch across… and it’s supposed to be hot and sour soup not-sweet and sour soup-what little there was. I paid 25.00 for this stuff delivered and it was the worst I have ever had-go to Chopsticks-I wished I had!!!!
Sushi Ming Japanese Kitchen
This is a small store located in a strip mall and has a Chinese restaurant two doors down. I almost missed the place. We stopped on a Saturday evening around 6:30 but it was not busy. The chef behind the counter was very friendly. We ordered a sashimi for two and a some kind of roll, plus sake. This is the first time I can remember having sake. It was a weak alcohol with little flavor, beer or wine would taste better. The food was ok, nothing special and didn't have much to comment. Maybe a noodle soup fits my taste better.
Food is excellent and fresh. Owners are so nice and sweet. It was a great experience dining here. Thank you
Main Moon Chinese Restaurant
I ordered dinner here last night about an hour and a half before closing and got the general tso chicken w/fried and 4 spring rolls. Everything was packed well and was ready when I got there. This looks like your typical hole in the wall Chinese place, nothing special. They have basic condiments. It was still hot when I got home, but the chicken was overcooked, dry, and mostly breading, which was very disappointing. The sauce was mid. The fried rice was decent, and the spring rolls were perfectly crispy. Probably won't be coming back. From the looks of it, they only respond to the good reviews.
I thought this was just the same old same old. I am surprised at how much better it actually was. Lots of extra sauce from the meal for the rice and just plain good. It just had a better flavor, and maybe that was just the msg, but it was actually really good. I had the beef and garlic and the 2 tones cooked pork. I'm still surprised at the taste of it.
DanMooJi Johns Creek 단무지 존스크릭
I like this place because the service is very snappy also the atmosphere is stunningly clean. The food is also a decent price too it is not that expensive and great for first comers. If you came here more then once I encourage you to try at least everything without missing a thing because everything looks and tastes scrumptious.
I absolutely love Danmooji! Their service is truly outstanding, and every time I go, I’m blown away by how attentive and friendly the staff are. The owner is one of the kindest and most welcoming people you’ll ever meet—always making sure customers feel at home and well taken care of. The food is consistently amazing, bursting with flavor and prepared with such care and attention to detail. Whether it's a quick bite or a special meal, I always know I'm in for something delicious. Plus, the cleanliness of the place is impeccable. It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort goes into maintaining a tidy and inviting atmosphere. Every visit to Danmooji feels like a special experience, and I can’t recommend it enough—whether you're a regular or a first-timer, you're sure to leave feeling satisfied and eager to return!
thai squared (johns creek)
A fantastic Thai restaurant with delicious dishes, especially the salad and fried rice. However, some dishes come with a smaller portion, so if you’re sharing, be mindful of the portion sizes. The staff was very friendly—thank you for making it a wonderful gathering! Totally I give 4.3 🌟 There were five of us dining, and a 20% tip was automatically included in the bill, which the server also informed us about. Overall, I really liked it and will definitely come again next time!
Place was clean and modern thai inspired, and the staff gave us great service- but the food was not very authentic. Only thing I enjoyed was the chicken coconut soup - great flavor and medium heat was great. But everything else was not. Side order of sticky rice was definitely old and they just microwaved it - the sides of the ball of rice in a ziplock bag was dry. Papaya Salad - was just shredded and then served on some lettuce with a sweet fish sauce dressing to be poured over - no "tum" was done here. Chicken larb was also sweet. Not enough fish sauce, lime, and rice powder. This place is more for intro to thai food.
Bogle Bogle Tofu & Noodle (보글보글)
Love their wide selection of side dishes! Their tofu soup is packed with seafood, including a blue crab claw, which was a nice touch. We also enjoyed the donkatsu with udon—it stays true to Japanese flavors, and they even give you a mortar to grind your own sesame seeds, which adds to the experience.
The foods are really good here. It’s very flavorful and tasty. The amount of the foods are really really big. Definitely will be back and try something else next time. The service was also nice.
