Yao Atlanta
⭐⭐⭐☆☆ We’ve dined at Yao Atlanta a few times in the past and had positive memories, but unfortunately this visit didn’t live up to our expectations. Right as we walked in, we were hit with a strong kitchen scent—understandable given the open kitchen concept, but it made us feel like the ventilation system could use improvement. The small round table for two also made it tough to comfortably manage all the food and drinks we ordered. We had cocktails, oysters, vegetables, a whole fried fish, and the Crying Tiger steak. The oysters were served on regular ice cubes, which melted quickly and left the oysters soaking in water—not ideal. The dry ice placed for presentation even made contact with one of the oysters, which was off-putting. The vegetables were overcooked and surprisingly sweet. The Crying Tiger steak ($38) had a nice presentation but came out overcooked (well-done instead of medium) with a slightly burnt edge. When we asked for rice, we were told it doesn’t come with any side—which was odd since the fried fish came with jasmine rice (which, by the way, was dry and lacked flavor). The salt & pepper fish, priced at $75 (market price), was decent but again leaned on the sweet side. In general, all dishes skewed too sweet for our taste, and given the price point, the overall experience didn’t match up to the cost. We hate to leave negative reviews, and this would typically be a 2-star experience—but we’re giving 3 stars as a form of constructive feedback in hopes that management takes it to heart and makes adjustments. Sadly, we won’t be returning.
I visited a beautiful restaurant that offers free parking for up to two hours in the garage. We arrived at 5:15 PM, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. We had a nice open view and appreciated the decor. They have a special night-out menu, and it's necessary to make a reservation online. I loved the crab fried rice and salmon curry, and the soup was very good—authentic, full-flavored, and well-portioned. However, I found the Mongolian dish to be slightly sweet for my taste. The service was acceptable. I would come back next time to try their pad Thai and more fried rice.
Sushi Kingdom Dunwoody
It was $40 for all you can eat. I felt that the food was ok, nothing exceptional. But the experience was interesting. You could go to the buffet where they had a variety of dishes, fried rice, crab, seafood tacos, desserts, etc. There was also a bar with giant TVs which gave sports bar vibes. There was also a fridge where they had different bubble teas and desserts. Highly recommend the mango flavored bubble tea, yum! You could also order with the waiter and little robots came out with your order when it was ready. Service was really good. It was packed. I enjoyed the hibachi dish, it tasted fresh and delicious. They had decent sushi options to test as well.
Although we did a take out, the experience was still a good one. SushiKingdom is a solid choice for sushi lovers looking for a mix of quality and variety. The restaurant offers a wide range of sushi, from traditional rolls to more adventurous options, and they tend to use fresh ingredients. The ambiance is casual and inviting, making it great for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Some reviews mention quick service, which is a plus, though occasionally, the wait can be a bit longer during peak times. Prices are reasonable for the quality, though not necessarily the cheapest in town. If you're craving sushi and are in the mood for something satisfying without breaking the bank, it's definitely worth checking out.
Thai Kitchen by YAO
Great restaurant. The food and craft cocktails are fantastic. I also love the atmosphere - with great service and aesthetics.. I also love the jazz music played at just the right background level to enjoy, but still be able to have a conversation.
This place here, very nice, good food, entertainment and a massage. My husband and I came here from warner robins for Valentine's Day. Going back!
Tin Drum Asian Kitchen - Perimeter Place
#MyfirstTime at this location, the gentleman was kind to open the door, but that was the only customer service I experienced. The girl with the pearl bow was very unkind. I was the first to come in, and I ordered, and she was annoyed with me after 15 minutes of asking for what I ordered. She told me she was busy and I needed to wait. It was so not necessary. The food was okay , I wish it could have been like the other locations. OVER ALL MY FIRST TIME WAS really upsetting. It was Sunday, and I wanted a great meal and experience . Hopefully, they train her better. She doesn't realize who she just was unkind to.
We had a quick lunch here. The guys at the counter were so welcoming and very helpful with their menu offerings. The food came out quickly and maaaaaan we enjoyed it!! The atmosphere is very clean and trendy. The location was excellent as well!!
Chin Chin 5
Every time I order from Chin Chin the food is always tasty and fresh . I love their 6 piece dumplings with hot sesame sauce is just so delicious and taste almost as if it's made in house? I always get their 2 piece Tempura Shrimp in place of eggroll / spring roll and their crispy tuna roll is fresh to perfection. I've ordered their coconut chicken soup which is divine during the winter months as well as their Thai Basil Rice which always so filling . But their sushi personally is the way to go paired with a few of their appetizers to create a good lunch/ dinner . I've never dinned in the restaurant but walking in the restaurant is always welcoming and service is always efficient. Favorite Chin Chin of all the Chib Chins in and around Atlanta
OMGOODNESS 🔥🔥🔥 I took ONE BITE without any DRESSING/ Sauce & the FLAVOR WAS FLAVORING!! I also like to add veggies!! And babyyyyyy they didn’t disappoint. I will give this a 10/10
Cafe China
Stopped in for a quick cashew chicken, extra hot, for carry-out. Delicious! And very spicy, just the way I like it. Excellent service and meal. I'll definitely be returning.
The egg roll was excellent and crunchy. As others have said, this is not a traditional pad thai--no lime, no cilantro, whole peanuts. But it was delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked, it was spiced well, and there was a lot of pork and vegetables ratio to noodles. Huge portion.
P.F. Chang's
This was my first time visiting this location. My sister took me out for my birthday. The service by Tatiana was great. She was courteous & attentive. Also Frank, the manager was quite amenable allowing us to switch tables and provide great desserts! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to to celebrate with family & friends.
We tried this for the first time and were not disappointed! We were served by a very caring and tentative waitress Trew. She checked on us and she gave great recommendations. Excited to eat here again!
Hawkers Perimeter
Went to Hawkers with a work colleague for dinner. We wanted a fun place where we could share food and catch up. The service was amazing. The weight staff was so hospitable and impressed us with every single interaction. The atmosphere was so fun & creative. The menu options were a combination of classic redefined items and unique new concepts. The food was absolutely delicious. The drinks were amazing. We just had an overall wonderful time. Highly recommend this for fun or work. It would be so cool to have a holiday party here!
After living in Singapore for 10 years , we’re always on the lookout for fabulous Asian food. Well, we found it at Hawkers! Fantastic menu with a good variety. The food is flavorful and delicious. We had a great lunch and can’t wait to go back for dinner. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Seriously flavorful food, not your typical boring meal. Can’t wait to go back!
Wok Provisions - Dunwoody
Fabulous Chinese restaurant located in Dunwoody. Staff beyond friendly and attentive. Food is delicious. We ordered the chili oil fish with large fresh pieces of white fish in a peppercorn sauce. Soup dumplings yummy. Kung pao chicken and shrimp in a savory broth with large shrimps. Would highly recommend. Great lunch menu as well. Will be coming back again and again.
Ordered egg rolls and general tso chicken. The eGg rolls were hot and crispy with a good taste. The general tso chicken was excellent and the serving size was large. Had a choice of steamed or fried rice. If you spend $50 per check they offer a free glass of wine. The service was friendly and efficient. Decor nothing special but was clean.
Panda Express
Today was my first time trying Panda Express, food looked nice and fresh and prices were awesome. Only mistake I made was eating in the dark (I work overnights in a nursing home) few minutes into eating I seen I’m not even sure what this is in my Orange chicken
Great food but price for medium broccoli and steak $9 😔
Pei Wei Express
I’ve been a fan of Pei Wei for over 15 years from when I lived in Northern VA. It’s usually a stand alone restaurant, so I was shocked to see it in the mall. Gave it a try and it was delicious! Bourbon chicken and orange chicken were very tasty and the portion size was abundant! I don’t go to this mall often, but I would eat here again. *NOTE: I ordered for pickup on DoorDash
Pei Wei is inside the food court in Perimeter Mall. The bourbon chicken and fried rice was spot on and the service was pretty quick considering it was a busy Saturday. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for good mall food.
