Sushi Avenue on the Square
fantastic taste, super friendly staff, quick and easy, welcoming atmosphere, easy to find vegetarian options - a wonderful treat!!
This place is a cute gem. Small on the inside but packs a major punch with the food and service. Every thing we ordered was delicious. The ginger dressing on the house salad tasted really fresh and I actually loved that it didn’t saturate my salad like other places serve them. It was the right ratio. Their mixed tempera was perfectly crispy without being too oily - definitely a rarity! The sushi was quite small but made sense with the price. Still very good though it definitely could’ve used more wasabi serving. Their pork ramen was the hidden gem. The broth was on thicker side which reminded me of my time in Japan. Definitely authentic and tasty. The salmon was fresh and delish. Highly recommend!!!
A1 Kitchen
First time visit, and I ordered my barometer dish on how I judge a new-to-me Asian restaurant: General Tso. It was pleasantly sweet and thick sauce - and plenty enough to flavor the rice. I have yet to understand why some “fried rice” is daffodil yellow, but the extra sauce helped that as well. I could have used more spice in my General. I appreciated the two sizable pieces of broccoli that were in my order. General Tso is never known for its vegetable content so this garnish was a bonus. But the real star was the fried dumplings. That’s what I will be thinking about for a long time to come. Crisp and delicious. And the dipping sauce had really good ginger flavor.
Always a great meal from here. Cooked fresh and great size servings. Food is always delicious and full of flavor. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
DESI TADKA INDIAN RESTAURANT - DECATUR
I went there for dinner with my Indian friend. She loves food and atmosphere. The restaurant is in the second floor next to the elevator. The place looks clean and the musics were so nice. We ordered many dishes from vegetarian and non vegetarian menu. They have seperated menu for those who are vegetarian. We were waiting for quite while for our food but worth waiting for. The taste was so nice and came in big portion.
One of the best chicken butter masala and Garlic naan we had. I think if you need a best North Indian cuisine this is the place. Ambience - very authentic and they have auto server. Food Quality - one of the best Speed of service - good Gratuity - an auto charge 8% added to the bill Overall a good one to visit.
Pyng Ho Chinese restaurant
The normal Chinese Restaurant I go to was closed...and I am open to new experiences. I should have known something was fishy because it was Friday evening and only 10 patrons were in the restaurant. We ordered shrimp fried rice and seafood noodles, and shrimp dumplings. The shrimp dumplings were good. But the scallops and other seafood had a sour, stale , old taste. We will not go there again.
Terrible don't eat here. The food remind you of 2000 Chinese, when it all went bad. The restaurant hasn't been renovated or deep cleaned since then either. Don't get me wrong they have a 95/A but the decor is dated and depressing. Yt people Chinese, cause no way. It's bland and tasteless. I'm not 100% sure the vegetables aren't plastic and they didn't bother to de-vein the shrimp.
Peking Restaurant
Not the BEST as far as oyher Chinese restaurants we have been to, but food was Fair, Service was attentive and for a small country town, atmosphere was good. What I couldn't find ANYWHERE was is there a Buffet, and if so, how much is it... so here goes, 1) YES, there is a buffet, and 2) it is ALL You C a n Eat, for just $10.95 up. Here are some more photos of the place.
Carry out. I’m done! Absolutely the worst “food” ever. No taste, huge pieces of onion, chicken and broccoli sitting in a plastic container half full of flavorless water. Crap Rangoon so tough you can’t even bite it. Chicken cold a rubbery. Never again!
Lucky Panda
I called them to place an order for crab Rangoon. They said 10 minutes and when I got there it was just getting finished after 13 minutes which is great, it was nice and fresh. I took it home and it was still hot and fresh. I dipped it in the sauce and it was sooo good. I would definitely recommend and go back. Friendly staff, a nice environment. They had a few customers in waiting for their food. 💯✊🏾 loved it and it was inexpensive
Been coming to this location since around covid times. Consistent, good food. Great staff. They’re next to a wing spot and I prefer their wings over the wing joint. Food always fresh. Recommend and chicken dish, egg rolls, and the egg drop and hot and sour soups.
Bawarchi Biryanis Decatur
Chicken 65 was good and must try. Gobi Manchurian was great. Service was wonderful and quick. Veg biriyani was Okie with lot of vegetables and less rice. Rice quality was okie. If u don’t need an ambience but good food u can come here. Service was really great and a special mention.
Good food, very good service - the boy and the girl were smiling and welcoming. Fried rice was good but had extra soya sauce and oil and quantity is less, goat biriyani was good, chicken lollipop was good.
Siam Thai Restaurant
Ordered Thai Basil fried rice. It wasn't the tastiest Thai food I've eaten. However, the vegetables were well cooked and the rice was mild in flavor. May give this restaurant another try someday. Gave this restaurant a second try within the same week. I explicitly asked for vegetarian massaman Curry with tofu. I was served curry with chicken. I didn't realize it immediately. However, I did find the tofu funny looking and asked my colleague to taste it. And of course it was chicken. They didn't look very apologetic that they served the wrong dish. Just a casual "I'll take the food away" and that's about it. Not going there again.
Fun little spot on the square in Decatur. Service was great! Super friendly! Nice menu with lots of selections. Food was meh. The fresh basil rolls were definitely not fresh. Must have come straight from the refrigerator after having been in there for hours. Super cold and hard. The chicken dumplings were fine but pretty bland and the pad Thai was also just okay. I really didn’t find anything flavorful like Thai food should be. Probably not going back.
Chutti
Ordered food via ubereats. The portion size is big & value for money. Loved their take on serving Indian taste in a sandwich format. Will definitely be ordering again.
Ordered the fries, mango lassi, and chicken burger from ubereats. Everything was so good. Definitely recommended.
Hungry AF Decatur
I’ve been wanting to try this place for the LONGEST! I drove 1hr and 30 mins from Perry, GA just to try it. Even though there’s mixed reviews on it on TikTok, I still wanted to try it for myself. 1000 people can say a restaurant is nasty and not to even bother trying it, but I’m the type to still want to try it for myself and I don’t regret it. The wings were seasoned very well and the pasta was very good too. There was a somewhat long wait but I went as soon as they opened so I understand they were still getting everything together and I wasn’t in a hurry so I didn’t mind.
We got to ATL close to midnight and were starving. This place came up as being open late. We took a chance on it. Interesting place - good people watching…you can imagine at midnight. Had to wait a bit for our food. We took it to go, when we got to our hotel to eat, I was surprised at the portion size. Most importantly, the food tasted good. I was pleasantly surprised.
Kwing Express
I come here like 3 times a week. I love them so much and they are so friendly 💗
They sent out some sorry looking food. Egg rolls burnt while wings barely cooked. Popcorn shrimp overcooked, onion rings soggy... all a mess. I'm good. Won't be ordering from here again!
Curry Up Now
A very interesting place to dine. Indian fast food. Because the menu was so vast, my friend an i decided to order tapas style. We got the deconstructed samosa (w/ lamb), SEXY fries (W/ chicken) & tikka masala w/ paneer & kulcha naan to share. To dink we ordered the Mango Lassi and the Chai Tea. You order everything at the counter and then have a seat. The food comes out pretty quickly. Inside, the layout gives like a regular fast food place, just tables and chairs. Nothing special, nothing fancy. To me it seems like a really cool place to grab lunch or a quick dinner. As far as the food goes, everything was a certified hit!! The portions are great, prices are fair, and service is fast. I would love to come back and try another round of their selections.
Great selection of India inspired dishes. I’m still not sure what makes some dishes “street food” but what I’ve had is delicious. One orders at the counter and they bring the food to you. They even clean the table after. The dishes are tasty, but not blistering hot to accommodate westerners pallets. We had two Ghee Makhni Butter Bowls and a Tikka Masala Bowl with an assortment of Naan and Fountain drinks. Don’t be scared away with the names of dishes, the staff will guide you through to a dish that fits your pallet. Atmosphere and service is very good. Indoor and outdoor seating is available on real dishes, glass cups and metal cutlery.
