The Wok and Bowl
New ownership! Dim sum served all day! Handmade meat buns and dumplings—highly recommended! I’ll definitely be back. The steamed vegetable dumplings are delicious, with a hint of sesame oil and crunchy cabbage.
Really good and authentic chinese food. They just opened too!! The stir-fry veggies had that nice wok-flavor. Fried intestine were perfectly spicy! Thank you for the yummy food!
Masterpiece
Wanted to try this Chinese Sichuan restaurant after hearing that it received a Michelin Bib Gourmand. My favorite dishes were the onion spicy pot chicken (my favorite , highly recommend) and the chicken w dry red pepper. Both were delicious. I have also tried the soup dumplings and garlic shrimp but they were alright and not something I would order again. Overall I would rate this restaurant a 3.75 out of 5
Hands down the best Chinese food I’ve had in Atlanta—and honestly, it beats the top spots I’ve tried in LA, San Francisco, and Orange County. This place is the real deal. I ordered a mix of dishes: kung pao chicken, minced beef soup, twice cooked pork, Zhong style dumplings, Szechuan style bean jelly, tendon in chili sauce, beef tendon in red oil, and boiled beef in chili stew. Every single dish was packed with flavor, super traditional, and just really well done. The portions were generous too, which is always a plus. The service was great—everyone was super courteous and attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant itself has that cozy, casual vibe you’d expect from an authentic Chinese spot. Nothing flashy or Americanized, just good food in a comfortable space. This was my first time here, but I’m definitely coming back. Honestly, I’m probably going to try everything on the menu over time. If you’re new to this place, I’d say just order whatever catches your eye—everything I had was amazing, from appetizers to soup to the mains. Stick to something familiar or try something new—you really can’t go wrong here.
Kanpai BBQ & Shabu Shabu
Ordering is on a tablet they set on the table so you can pass it around, but it can get a little confusing when you have no idea what has been ordered or not, but that is not too big of a problem. There is a hotpot section and a kbbq section, the meats are pretty much the same slice just varies on which surface/pot you cook it in. I do like how you can change soup base for the hotpot. When ordering- and you know your table wants a lot…double the amount you order. It looks like it’s like 3 restaurant in one because you can order dessert and bubble tea from next door/wall. The little buffet table they have is just….small, so I mainly focused on the sauce table. Making my own sauce for my hotpot.
A relatively new all you can eat restaurant with time limit. We went in during lunch. I’d recommend reservation because they get busy quickly. Of course, at lunch there are fewer meat choices than dinner. We’d definitely come for dinner next time. The Szechuan broth is perfect for spice lovers. The side bar is limited and not many interesting item to choose from. I like that everyone gets their own personal hot pot along with personal choice for broth. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Pho Dai Loi #2
Ordered online vegetarian vermicelli, and a pho. The pho came cold, no bowl. The veggie vermicelli shows a pic of tofu when u order- I called once I got home to let them know it was missing and was told they don’t have tofu and he hung up on me. The veggies aren’t fresh. Very disappointed.
Plenty of meat and veggies were provided with each dish. I had the opportunity to try the pho dac biet, bun bo hue, and bo kho. Overall, we were satisfied with our meals but some dishes could have been even better with more flavor, i.e. more lemongrass for the bun bo hue.
Xin's Chinese Cuisine
Tried this place for the first time. I tried the Mapo tofu , salted pepper shrimp and the fish fillet spicy pot. The food as delicious. It came out hot and fast. Highly recommend the fish, it was fried perfectly and the garnish paired really well with it. The menu showed a fantastic lunch special so I will have to come back and try them out
This meal was wildly underwhelming. I ordered the lunch pork lo mein. To me, this doesn’t look like pork, it looks and tastes like chicken. Additionally, it was oily and lacked flavor, as did the rice that I didn’t know I was getting. I had to doctor this up quite a bit, but for the price I guess you get what you get. Edit - the egg drop soup tasted like just oil. Don’t recommend this place at all.
Hibachi Buffet
Literally just left the establishment, want to commend my waitress Kim for their amazing service! Wonderful worker! Price wasnt too bad for two people. Now the layout of this place is nice and specious, no complaints there. The most significant part is the food, that was disappointing. It was not tasteful at all, it was very low quality and wasnt worth the price i paid which wasnt even alot. The best item i recommend is the corn on the cob, it was STELLAR
The food was hot, fresh, and delicious! They kept everything coming and you never had to wait for anything at the buffet. I can’t say enough about the service and hospitality here! It was absolutely amazing! We lost something very important in a napkin that was accidentally thrown away. Without hesitation the male owner/manager and two other waitresses went into action searching trash to assist us. We didn’t ask for that and definitely didn’t expect it. Needless to say we tipped them very well for their kindness. And they found our lost item! I can’t wait to go back! If you love seafood at a good price, this is your place.
B.B's Wings
I live right up the road, and for being in a gas station they have exceptional wings. It's not a hard process after all... I haven't tried any of the other food, I'm sure it's good. People hate on their customer service on these google reviews, I can't comment because I always pick up. When I walk in they're always super nice. The gas station is a tiny bit sketchy, not a well designed or lit parking lot. That's not their fault though. Overall, if you want wings, there are a ton of places to get them from. None are better than the other in terms of quality, just what they offer. I can think of like 4 places in a 2 mile radius that offer the same style.
Not good for delivery at all. Took a little longer than their estimate but only about 30 minutes late so not a big deal and overl total time 1 hour & 25 minutes. Wings - not horrible but not good. Ordered 10 wings and it said i should receive 2 sauces but it only 1 sauce was actually on the wings. Bacon Cheeseburger - horrible. Took 2 bites it was disgusting. Tasted like something that had been cooked hours beforehand and then just reheated in a microwave. The lettuce was welted and nothing was appealing about it. Tenders - worst I have ever had. Ordered 4 Tender and each one was rubber and inedible. Fries - room temp and had a few but overall not good from a delivery standpoint. Side Greek Salad - incredibly plain but it is your safest bet for edible food.
J's Mini HotPot Deluxe
I came here about 10 years ago and enjoyed the experience. Came back for the second time tonight and it did not disappoint. I especially like that you get your own individual pot and so can choose your soup base. The Angus beef was very good. And they have a wide selection on the menu. More expensive than your all you can eat hot pot place is, but better quality food here. Not gourmet but really good.
Some tough love here. The staff is wonderful here. But the food, which this review is about, fell short of expectations. The hot pot selection just did not seem appetizing so we t with the pike bowl with eel, and I love eel sushi. Unfortunately the flavor profile did not come together well, nor did the textures. And the eel itself was too slimy and stretchy and tough. Not all all the sushi quality I expected in a pricey poke bowl. So for me and a stuffed donkey, this one gets no tail wags.
Best BBQ
Solid BBQ with nice flavor and crispy texture. Service is lukewarm, but it’s okay—just order, eat, and move on. Pay with cash is better, they charge extra 3%
Food tastes very bad. The three of us had different food poisoning symptoms after the meal like throwing up and diarrhea. After two days, I was still feeling sick, not able to eat as normal, wanting to throw up after eating. I thought the food poisoning effect was already over. I went to the hospital and did blood test, ultrasound sound and didn’t find anything. Today I met one of them, and she also still has symptoms. This restaurant is definitely not worth going at all. Not clean
Nice 2 Meet U Hot Pot 那年遇见自助火锅
Just revisited Nice2MeetU, and now it’s All-You-Can-Eat! Lunch is $24.99, dinner $34.99. Tons of skewer options, fresh plates, and a great mix of veggies and proteins to throw in the pot. They also have a few premium items like duck blood, duck tongue, tender beef, and abalone for a small extra charge, which were all totally worth it. If you’re a hot pot fan, this is a must-try!
So I just went there on a whim. I decided to stop there as I wasn't sure what to have for dinner and was going to drive up and down Buford Highway until I saw something worthwhile. I pulled into the plaza and saw Nice 2 Meet U, and I decided to check it out. Well, I walked in and my first impression was great. It was new, nicely designed and the staff seated me immediately and were very friendly. Since it was my first time, the waitress thoroughly explained my options. I chose the very mild spicy and pork bone broth soups. They were both very tasty and the meats that I was able to select were great, both in the refrigerated meat selection area and the pork and beef delivered to my table. The food was awesome and absolutely delicious! Beef, pork, seafood, and plenty of veggies! I will certainly go back and bring friends too! I hope this place gets popular...but not too popular :)
Spicy Gaga Duck(鸭货联盟)
I love the snacks from here, about prices like guys come on the prices went up anywhere , people need somehow to make a profit and keep it nice quality, I will come back anyway !
I really like the taste of the food but, it bas gotten more and more expensive over the years to a point that I dont think I would buy frequently. The owner changed but the taste remained the same. Oh. They charge me 3% for using a credit card so… again annoying.
Yummy Spicy
Amazing menu, 28 pages long! Nice atmosphere, okay service although they don't understand the concept of an appetizer being ordered first, and should arrive before the entree. We ordered the app, then took time deciding on dinner and it all came at the same time. They forgot to bring the rice with the food but eventually brought it. Food was tasty, correct size proportion, good quality. Good place to eat, with average service.
The dry pots are amazing! Very yummy and authentic Sichuan and Hunan dishes, one of the absolute best in the metro and on par with what you’d find in cities like LA and NY that typically have a lot more authentic Asian and Chinese restaurants. An excellent, no frills spot for really good Chinese food, especially if you like spicy food and some of their dishes are hard to find elsewhere. The menu is huge and I’ve liked everything we ordered here in the many visits over the last year.
