Asian House
Good food and good service. The restaurant was very quiet when we came on a Friday for lunch. My only complaint is that they don't take American Express.
Asian House is a well-regarded restaurant offering a variety of Asian cuisines, including Chinese and Thai dishes. The food quality is very good, it is flavorful and well-prepared. The pricing is reasonable considering the portion sizes and the quality of food. Highly recommended.
Wok Provisions
As someone who truly appreciates authentic Asian cuisine, I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem of a restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by its laid-back and peaceful vibe. Unlike many bustling, noisy eateries, this spot offers a quiet and cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a great meal. Whether you're dining alone, catching up with friends, or having an intimate dinner, the relaxed ambiance makes for an enjoyable and comfortable experience. The food was fantastic and felt genuinely authentic. I could tell that traditional flavors and cooking techniques were used, and I personally love that the dishes had that slight richness—just the right touch of oiliness and a bit of MSG, which really enhanced the flavors. The dumplings, in particular, were absolutely delicious. They were perfectly cooked with a soft yet slightly chewy texture, and the filling was flavorful and satisfying. One of the highlights of my meal was the dipping sauce. I love when restaurants get their sauces just right, and this one was spot on. The slight tanginess from the vinegar balanced out the flavors beautifully, adding an extra layer of depth to the dumplings. It complemented the dish so well that I found myself savoring every bite. Overall, my experience here was truly enjoyable. The combination of a peaceful, welcoming setting and well-executed, authentic food made for a great meal. This is the kind of place where you can sit back, take your time, and appreciate good food without feeling rushed. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and cozy dining spot with delicious, comforting flavors. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Went here for lunch and boy did they bring the flavor! They have a 9.99 lunch menu but we saw people next to us order off if that and it’s just your basic Chinese options, but we spend $60 bucks for 2 and had a feast! We started with the soup dumplings and the chili oil dumplings. The chili oil was not overbearing so we were putting spoonfuls of the sauce on the soup dumplings. For our main courses we got the Beef in hot oil which came in this giant bowl that was piping hot. We ate so much and still had a ton to take home as leftovers. And we had the crispy garlic pork which comes with the little koah pao buns and thin sliced cucumber to make little taco type buns with. The pork was so flavorful we ate more than we should and still had enough for 2 buns to take to go as well. Staff was super attentive, it was not overly busy at lunch so got to pick our own table and not have any wait times etc. This is a hidden gem right near downtown Duluth!!!
House of Chan + The Juicy Crab
We got massaman curry and panang curry. We usually go to sunshine in Suwanee. It’s head and shoulders better than this. The consistency of both dishes was that of gravy and didn’t taste much like either should. Maybe other dishes are good here, but today these were not.
Food was very tasty, fresh and lot of options to choose from their menu, I will visit again
La Confianza
The kitchen is tucked away in the left corner of the supermercado and offers the usual Asada, Barbacoa, Carnitas, Chorizo, and Pollo Burritos. I came into the Taqueria wanting a Breakfast Burrito. I requested my carne to be eggs, and they made it happen. The burrito included rice, refried beans, avocado (a small amount), lettuce, tomato (a small amount), cilantro, and pickled jalapeños. It was very delicious 😋 especially with the salsa verde. La Señora said it would come with "creama", which I assumed meant sour cream, but there wasn't much of that either. And a little pricey at $10.99, but now I know a place that will work with a customer like me that strays away from the normal. 👍🏾 P.S. My initial review was after eating only half of the huge burrito (mostly rice). The 2nd half had more avocado, cream, and also some corn that I didn't notice being or tasting in the 1st half. It was maybe missing some cheese as well. The "Desayuno Tipico" ($17.99) is apparently what you should order if you want eggs. 😋
Late afternoon I had went to Chamblee to pick up some items at plaza fiesta yesterday ,on my way back saw this Mexican store called La confianza , It was my first time passing to this store driving back home tired all the way to Gainesville like an hour away , when I got home I open the bag to cook the chorizo it was all rotten and had a really bad smell , I had to throw it all away, I call the store this morning and the lady that answered the phone she did tell me that I could go exchange it , but how am I going to exchange it if I live an hour away, so people please be careful and make sure you check anything you buy before you leave , before you loose your money just like I did , unfortunately Idid not get a refund back ..:(
Coco's Cuban Restaurant
Wow. I wasnt sure about this place @ 1st coming from florida where cuban food is amazing basically anywhere you go but this place gets gold stars. Wow. The rice and chicken is amazing with such good flavor the tostones with chicken as a appitizer was on point. Not to soggy at all. The rice and beans were amazing. I can go down the list. It was great food and great service. If your in Cumming, GA and in the mood for Cuban food. This is it.
Coco's is an absolute staple in the area! I've been dining here regularly for over a decade, and every visit reaffirms why I keep coming back. The food is consistently delicious, with rich flavors and fresh ingredients that never disappoint. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or enjoying a full meal, the quality remains top-notch. The staff are always warm, friendly, and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. If you haven’t already, you have to try the fried yucca! It’s crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and pairs perfectly with their house sauce. Whether you're a longtime fan or a first-time visitor, Coco’s is a must-visit spot that never disappoints!
The Juicy Crab Cumming
If I could give negative stars I absolutely would. Absolutely not worth $37 for a plate when 2 of the legs on 1 cluster has no meat. Even ordered extra clusters to just have some type of food. The waitress had the audacity to laugh in our face when we showed that they had no meat and you could see right through the shell. The owner then tried to call us a liar because he stood over us and we opened the last legs we had and they had some type of meat in it. And to add to that he then cracked one of the shells that did have meat, he put his fingers all in it and sat it on the table and said there is meat. Was I supposed to eat that? When we went to check out because we were not trying to get out of paying, we were trying to explain the quality of the food does not match the price they are charging but we still paid $130, but as you can see in the pictures the food was left there. The manager then tried to say he wasn’t calling us a liar because he stood over us while the shells were checked. Oh and the plate that shows the crab meat, that is ALL that came in a whole cluster that started this whole conversation and they kept telling us that they all came from the same box. To add, the food had absolutely no flavor. I know we ordered garlic butter but the butter should probably taste like garlic then but it tasted like soap water. Hope others had a better experience. Probably should have read the newest reviews before we went.
If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. This was one of the most disrespectful, infuriating experiences I’ve ever witnessed at any restaurant. My friend walked in around 9 PM to pick up a Doordash order — something she’s done countless times — and simply asked to use the restroom. The restaurant was completely empty besides one table inside, and yet the woman at the front counter snapped at her like she was a criminal and didn’t let her use the restroom and repeatedly refused— over and over like she was barking at a child. She then claimed her manager/restaurant owner had said not to allow anybody except dine in customers use the restroom. As a delivery driver she is providing a service to help that restaurant and is a representation of their service. Let me be clear: the bathroom was open, there were only a couple customers inside, and the order was complete but she quickly needed to use the restroom. How do you treat a paying customer — and a member of the community — with that kind of absolute lack of customer service. I’ve been to this place once before, and the food was mediocre at best, but this confirmed it — the staff here are rude, aggressive, and completely lacking in basic human decency and hospitality. If you’re thinking about eating here, don’t. There are hundreds of better restaurants that would never treat people like this. Absolutely disgraceful.
Yummy Hibachi & Wings
We ordered shrimp hibachi and chicken wings with french fries. They were served promptly. The food was delicious! Cooked just right! The owners were so courteous and welcoming. We will definitely visit again.
Ordering and customer service is 5 stars for sure, but the quality of the food for the price is 3/5. Nice presentation, sauce on the side, but incredibly bland. Fried rice tastes more like lightly sautéed white rice and chicken and steak are both under seasoned. Least it’s hot. Edit: now that I’ve made it halfway through the plate, there is a lot of sauce on the meat & vegetables but definitely should have been marinated in it, not poured on after
