Wok Chi Asian Kitchen 鑊氣
If you’re looking for a late-night spot in West Midtown with solid vegan options, Wok Chi is the place! This little gem is so cute and offers some seriously tasty food. I tried the General Tso tofu with fried rice, and I absolutely loved the kick it had. I also ordered the vegan dumplings, which were pan-fried. They were good, but I wasn’t completely sold on the garlic soy sauce that came with it. The sauce portions are only available in large, which is a bit much, but that’s a minor thing. If you're in the mood for a drink, the Lychee Martini at Wok Chi is a must-try—it's sweet, refreshing, and the perfect complement to any meal! What I really appreciated is that everything is made in-house and to order, which gives it such a fresh and authentic vibe. You can tell they really care about quality. The service was decent, though I wouldn’t say the staff was particularly eager. Still, the food made up for it, and I’ll definitely be back—especially for that General Tso tofu!
I was in the area for a friend's birthday and I was hungryyyyyyyyy. As I was heading to my car I passed Wok Chi. Their QR menu was on the window so I scanned it. After taking a scroll I decided to place an order. Walking in, the restaurant is very clean and made great use of the space. The bar is directly in front of you and the tables are to your right. It’s very cute with a simple design and a few eye-catching placements throughout the area. I walked up to the ordering area and was immediately greeted. The young lady was very pleasant and welcoming. I placed my order for 6 Wings, Thai Chili, with Pork Fried Rice, paid and took a seat at the bar to wait on my food. The ambiance is very chill. The music was at a perfect volume as I was still able to hear my conversation, the staff was laughing and engaging with one another, and the bar seats were super comfortable. My food arrived and was super fresh. As I placed my order to go, I was excited that I could smell my food through the container. Opening my container, the visual appeal was nice. The plate was well packed and the portion size was perfect for the price point of the meal. Now… the Food! The wings were amazing. Though they were light in color, they were crispy on the outside and juicy and hot on the inside. The flavor profile of the Thai Chili sat well on the fresh wings. The sweetness wasn’t too sweet and put me in the mind of a honey glaze. The chili flakes were present but not too spicy. There were some good wings. I would definitely come back for more. The rice was a bit too eggy for me. I’m accustomed to egg being in fried rice, however, the eggs overpowered the rice and pork. After two bites I was unable to adjust to the over-powering egg presence and decided not to eat the rice. All in all, I’ll be back for the wings.
Food Terminal
This place is pretty amazing. They have a book with all the food they offer, including descriptions and everything you need to make a decision on what to eat. Good luck with that! So many good dishes. Service was on point as well as a pretty nice atmosphere. Parking was validated for 2 hours. We will be back! Our dishes looked like the pics on the menu and was super flavorful!
I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, everything about the experience was really good. I was introduced to this place by work mates for lunch. I came with high hopes and wasn’t disappointed. The seasoning was delicate and complex, the presentation was beautiful and the atmosphere was good for a lunch rush.
Summit Cafeteria
We were harassed twice for money and food while sitting and eating. The food is great, a lot of options and proteins. Felt like Chinese and soul food fusion. The prices are unbeatable. The place is well kept and clean. Better for takeout due to the unhoused situation in the area. Workers should ensure their customers aren’t being harassed for money and food while dining in.
I was chased in here by the rain while looking for a different restaurant. They sell your basic meat and two sides or two meats and two sides as the case may be. I was not impressed with what I ordered. The filet fish had bones, the fries adequate and the mac and cheese nondescript. Even the peach soda was lacking. I don't see me going back without another horrendous rainstorm.
China Breeze
December 2024 Service: 5/5 I had a quick lunch before working on a Friday afternoon around 11 AM. There were no crowds, but the young lady that served the food was really sweet and kind. Allowed me to try a sample of whatever I’d like. Prices: 5/5 I paid $10 for one meat; the Szechuan chicken and two sides; the vegetables and fried rice. I think it’s a pretty good deal for compared to cost right now. Ambiance: 5/5 Again, the young lady was really sweet and kind. She made me feel welcome and seen. Taste/Textures: 5/5 Who does delicious! I don’t know if it’s the ms G, or the fact that I saw the chef walking in with a bag of raw meat, lol. Very tangy and very delicious. Value: 5/5 Great pricing on this food and tastes are amazing. Quick service and they do offer KOCH to serve items as well as a buffet. TLDR: This is an ATL staple. If you’re at the CNN center, get some Chinese food from China to breeze. 5/5
The China Breeze is located in the CNN Building. It is always busy, food is fresh and tasty, portions are good, and the choices are sufficient. I appreciate the food quality, friendly staff, and food temperature. I eat at this location when I am attending events at the Georgia World Congress Center. Always great experience.
