P.F. Chang's
Patience!!! My boyfriend and I went to P.F. Chang's this past Sunday because we were craving some good Chinese food. I always find it interesting that even though the restaurant is usually half-empty, they still make you wait to be seated. I think they might be having some staffing issues. Once seated, our server was really friendly, but that's when the problems started. First, they gave our dumplings to another table, and we had to wait quite a bit before we could eat. Then, instead of the fried rice we ordered, they brought plain rice. Finally, the honey chicken arrived cold and tough. The poor server tried his best to fix everything, but it was clear that they are having staffing issues. We also ordered Singapore noodles, which came out just fine. After all the issues, I was honestly impressed with how the manager handled the situation. They only charged us for the dumplings, and I have to say that was a really nice gesture. It made a huge difference, especially since I was pretty frustrated, and that small detail turned everything around for me. I felt bad for the server because it wasn’t his fault, and he seemed really embarrassed. As for the food, I can't complain about the quality. The chicken they brought as a replacement was delicious, as were the noodles and dumplings. The rice was basic, but everything else was really tasty. Would I recommend the place? Yes, because the food is great, and despite their staffing problems, the staff really tries to make things right, which I appreciate. Just be reaaaaally patient
Daughter’s 30th birthday. Entrees were pretty good and sweet tea was delicious but the garden salad was horrible. I like a peanut butter ginger sauce but the ginger I was served tonight was inedible. Fried rice was good but the star of the show was the pan seared dumplings! Now THEY were delicious. Waitress was average if I’m being nice and better after a quick chat with the manager. Would definitely give it another shot.
The Orient
We started with the crazy crab roll— it was light but flavorful and was prepared quickly and tasted very fresh. Would recommend. As part of our main meal, we ordered tangerine chicken, Szechuan beef, and the vegetable lo main. Everything came out super quickly and was nice and hot by the time we received it. The tangerine chicken was deliciously seasoned, well cooked, and had a bright and citrusy combination of flavors. It was the best dish we had here by far. The lo main was very, very good. It wasn’t greasy and the veggies were cooked well. It was the perfect accompaniment to the rest of our meal. The Szechuan beef was good, but the beef didn’t absorb the sauce completely, so I didn’t enjoy it until I soaked it with the sauce at the bottom. It was overall okay, but I would have rather had more tangerine chicken. Overall, I’d definitely return again. I’m excited to try the many other dishes they have to offer.
This was my first time at The Orient. There was adequate parking. We made a reservation 25 minutes ahead of time and were seated immediately. The service was incredible and fast. They are really on point with there process here. The experience was fun, entertaining, and full of energy. I got steak and chicken that came with rice and veggies. I would definitely come back.
Tasty China (Marietta)
It’s a reasonable option if you’re looking for Chinese food with generous portions and fair prices. The dishes are well-served, making them great for sharing or taking leftovers home. Plus, the service is quick. However, the flavor could be better in some dishes. While the food is tasty, the seasoning isn’t always perfectly balanced, and some dishes can be a bit too spicy. Overall, it’s a good spot if you’re looking for large portions at a fair price, but if you’re very particular about flavor, it might not always meet expectations.
I was looking for good late-night takeout Chinese food and stumbled upon this restaurant. The restaurant itself was empty and had a slight off-putting odor when we arrived. However, we were promptly greeted and able to place our order quickly. The food took about 20 minutes to prepare and smelled fantastic. We ordered lo mein, dumplings, and two different kinds of pork. The house lo mein was extremely tasty, with thick noodles and a rich, flavorful sauce, and the portion size was generous. The pork dishes, however, were just okay—slightly dry and with an unusual texture. Overall, I’d recommend this place as a solid late-night option, but I’d probably skip the pork dishes next time.
Fan T' Asia
Fan T'Asia is in a small food hall named Ph' east. The food is good Chinese food. We had Mongolian Chicken - good. We never had Mongolian chicken before, only Mongolian beef It had the Mongolian flavor. Taiwanese fried chicken- very good. Spicy Stir fried green beans - nice and light with good simple flavor. Just how I like. The staff was super nice and answered all of our questions. The only downside was the price. I thought it was a little months high side for all the dishes I understand that the rent and expenses must be very high. It is in the category of a special day or night out as it is part of The Battery at Braves Stadium. It is the best price of all the places at the food hall. We enjoyed the food and will be back next year !!
Extraordinary experience!!! We had a blast, and a savory explosion of deliciousness in our mouths with every outstanding dish we tried. Owner Muling Zhao went above and beyond and treated us like family! Her friendliness, attentive attitude, and detailed service made our day. We HIGHLY recommend the Sweet & Sour Chicken, Mandarin Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Green Beens, and the NEW CHINESE-PUERTORRICAN FRIED RICE!!! A MUST HAVE, and FanT’Asia is the ONLY place that you can get it in Atlanta… AMAZING!!!
Tokyo Express
Got in by trying the chicken sampler and it was great! Grabbed myself a plate with noodles and Teriyaki chicken and the steak. The chicken was great, the steak was meh, not too much flavor. The server seems to be distracted with any walking costumer and hands them samples instead of going to check out. The price of the food and the quantity might be the reason I come back again!
No frills chinese food, recently got remodeled so it looks nicer than it did before.
Pei Wei Asian Express
I was at the mall and I stopped off at another chain that serves the same, I don't mind Asian express but what I picked up from that first bar was awful. Then I walked over to PEI WEI their food sitting out looked fresher smelled better. So I went ahead and ordered the same thing. I showed the manager what I picked up at the other Asian bar just a down to the right , she said "we always serve fresh food. We never put fresh food on top of food, that's old. So not only were they a great priced but again the food was great. Thank you all so much. PEI WEI Asian Express at Cumberland Mall. I will be back! 😋
Asian Female manager was very nasty mean to me. I asked for her name she said her name was “pei Wei”. She was RUDE, Unapproachable, wouldn’t answer my questions. She finally passed me off to the next server “Stating I sell $10,000 a day, you don’t matter”
