Lychee Garden Chinese Restaurant
Favorite take out spot for Hallandale and Hollywood residents. I have been a client for many years. It is conveniently located on US1. Great prices, quick and friendly service. Absolutely the best place for take out. The food is always hot when I get home.
Delicious Chinese foods, only take ou but it was good. Great value, flavor and large portions.
Lotus Chinese Kitchen
Lotus is a Chinese American restaurant that has been in business since 1975. It originally opened in Wilton Manors and reopened in 2022 at its new location. This was my first visit; it was a mixed bag. My favorite dish was the Singapore Mei Fun, a classic Cantonese dish they executed very well. I thought the kitchen had a hefty hand with the MSG and/or salt (especially the wonton and the egg drop). Wontons were doughy. The hot and sour lacked heat but had vinegar; you'd be better off spiking it at the table or bringing it home for takeout and hitting it with chile crisp and white pepper. The other fried dishes, such as orange chicken (White meat) and bang bang shrimp, were coated with a particularly gloppy cornstarch-thickened sauce and were overly sweet. I liked the Mongolian beef (although I think a black bean sauce or oyster sauce would be better). The fried rice was okay; it was undoubtedly adequately seasoned and had wok hey but was very “basic.” The soy sauce was very light, and I would have liked the use of dark soy and more pork and more scallion and also bean sprouts. If you ordered the genuine Cantonese things as opposed to the American style, you would be much better off; the owner told me he could prepare them, so the next time I go here, I'm going that route instead.
Excellent Chinese food ~ this is our regular go-to place! The food is definitely a step above - big pieces of chicken, tasty sauces & delicious egg drop soup! Every waitress we have had Has been fun and friendly. The owner stops to check on your table. Recommend.
May's Kitchen
Hands down the best NY-Style Chinese Take Out in the area. Unassuming place but always hot, fresh, and quick. Great portion sizes on proteins. Soup tastes like soup, not just salty water. Fried foods aren’t greasy. We order from them time and time again. And each time we are impressed.
I recently had the pleasure of ordering from China Wok, and I must say that my experience was quite positive. Delivery has always been prompt, arriving right on time, which I greatly appreciate. The delivery staff is consistently polite, making the process feel very customer-friendly from start to finish. As for the food, I ordered the vegetable curry sauce with tofu and a side of vegetable fried rice. I was pleased to see that they offer a brown rice option, catering to those who prefer it. The dish had a nice level of spice to it, which I appreciated; however, if you’re sensitive to heat, just a gentle warning—the curry can pack a punch! I had specifically requested low sodium and light oil, and China Wok did not disappoint—it was delivered just as I asked. While I wouldn't recommend China Wok for dining in—there's a small sitting area that feels more like an afterthought—I highly recommend it for delivery and takeout. If you're in the mood for delicious, freshly prepared Chinese food that arrives on time and to your specifications, this is a solid choice. Overall, I would definitely recommend China Wok for anyone looking for tasty Chinese takeout! **Please follow me for more exciting reviews**
Yeung House & Poke
Update: 3 months ago Food was good! May 23 : New Chef - food changed not for the good. More veggie, less flavor, less meat/sliver size vs 1-2" pieces , more $$ in price. Taste is very different. Ordered online and had delivered. Paid $70. This time. Not happy. See pictures below. Dark brown dish was great months ago. Now veggie see last picture. Talked with Manager. She said No credit, no remake and times change.
I ordered the chicken broccoli from the combination items, I got delicious crunchy broccoli, lightly salted ... a fresh egg roll and the crunchy staff. The owner was there greeting some other people as she knew them from a long time...very welcoming lady. We will be back ...
Bei Jing Chinese Food
Found HAIR in my food after eating half of the rice. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN! I CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE FOLLICLE ON THE STRAND! They have horrible customer service! They frequently get your order wrong! They get upset if you call and complain! They are rude and this is the last straw!
So disappointing, they messed up our entire order. We received 3 orders of white rice instead shrimp or ham fried rice. Their house lo mein was loaded with meat, but absolutely tasteless. Not a single one of our drink order was delivered, plus no one seems to be able to reach them over the phone.
