China Star
We tried this spot for the 1st time today and we're excited to try it out... The staff was nice and that's all I have good to say about it. The food was pretty much flavorless. We ordered the Kung pao chicken lunch plate, szechuan chicken lunch plate and the 4 wing lunch plate.. There wasn't a lick of heat to be found which was strange since we ordered SPICY FOOD... smh.. I'm just so disappointed y'all... Even the canned Coca-Cola's that came with the meal were somewhat flat . They were from the Christmas season (Santa graphics )and we are now in the middle of March. We were so thrilled thinking we might have finally found a gem here in South Florida, but with all do respect it ended up being worthless and tastless.. We will not be spending our money there again.
Ordered delivery, arrived in good time. Food had great flavor and what steak I did get was tender. Ordered seafood soup, sweat n sour pork, and beef with mushrooms. All was good except was more like all mushrooms and barely any beef at all. 95% mushroom to beef ratio. Flavor was great just would be better with not so much mushroom and more beef.
Peking Duck House
The parking lot was full when we arrived Friday evening, but we did find free street parking. The decoration inside the restaurant is Asian inspired and beautiful. They made the best out of this weird long L shape restaurant. The high ceilings make it look sophisticated. The waitress was very attentive, friendly and fast. The food was tasty, but not wow. I would’ve liked for the beef ribs to be more tender and coming off the bone. The peeling duck was supposed to be boiled and then roasted but it tasted deep fried! Very very fatty. I would not order this again. The Mongolian beef was tasty, but it was very little beef for a main dish! I would’ve liked if the ambience at our table would have been more cozy and romantic, like dimed lighting, and then a table light to light up the food! All in all it’s good for a Chinese place, but can be improved.
This is such a nicely decorated and clean and well maintained establishment. Beautiful interior decorations, amazing staff and great food. It is not your every day Chinese takeout and should definitely Come in for an amazing dine in experience. Nittaya is one of the sweetest and most kind waiters I’ve ever had serving us. Big smile and outgoing personality, quick and considerate
May's Kitchen
Hands down the best NY-Style Chinese Take Out in the area. Unassuming place but always hot, fresh, and quick. Great portion sizes on proteins. Soup tastes like soup, not just salty water. Fried foods aren’t greasy. We order from them time and time again. And each time we are impressed.
I recently had the pleasure of ordering from China Wok, and I must say that my experience was quite positive. Delivery has always been prompt, arriving right on time, which I greatly appreciate. The delivery staff is consistently polite, making the process feel very customer-friendly from start to finish. As for the food, I ordered the vegetable curry sauce with tofu and a side of vegetable fried rice. I was pleased to see that they offer a brown rice option, catering to those who prefer it. The dish had a nice level of spice to it, which I appreciated; however, if you’re sensitive to heat, just a gentle warning—the curry can pack a punch! I had specifically requested low sodium and light oil, and China Wok did not disappoint—it was delivered just as I asked. While I wouldn't recommend China Wok for dining in—there's a small sitting area that feels more like an afterthought—I highly recommend it for delivery and takeout. If you're in the mood for delicious, freshly prepared Chinese food that arrives on time and to your specifications, this is a solid choice. Overall, I would definitely recommend China Wok for anyone looking for tasty Chinese takeout! **Please follow me for more exciting reviews**
Red Lantern
Chinese food is either hit or miss. This place was an absolute hit! We ordered wings, sesame chicken, egg drop soup, and egg foo young. Our order was delivered quickly and correctly. All of the food was delivered hot and tasted awesome! Thank you for a wonderful dinner!
Literally fried wontons filled with cream cheese, worst “krab” rangoon ever. The jumbo tub of shrimp Lo mein is a sin, and food wasteful, and should be banned from the menu. It’s as big as my head. That much. Will never order from here again.
New China
All I wanted was soup & egg rolls. I enjoyed the egg rolls. I ordered the Chicken/Rice Soup which was disappointing because it was 85 % 🍚 the chicken pieces was on TOP of the PT container the rest of the soup was rice ! I will never order that soup again! I had to open up some BROTH at 🏡 to add to it since it was not enough liquid. 85 % of rice DRIED it up !
Ordered chicken pad Thai it was extremely dry no flavor at all. The fried dumplings were extremely soggy with nothing on the inside ! Absolutely terrible food. Will never order there again
China Wok
Since moving into the area—and after living in multiple countries—I've made it a mission to find local spots that not only serve great food but also make you feel at home. China Walk in Fort Lauderdale has definitely become that place for me. Every dish I’ve tried has been consistently fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My go-to order includes the - Combo Fried Rice with Boneless Ribs -Combo Fried Rice with Chicken Broccoli -Steamed Dumplings - Egg Rolls - Side of Kung Pao that packs just the right amount of heat What stands out most is the balance of quality and portion size—you really get value here. Service is always friendly and efficient, and everything is prepared with care. Whether it's a quick dinner or a weekend treat, China Walk never disappoints. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a dependable, delicious Chinese spot in Fort Lauderdale!
Nice little place for great Chinese. Have a few tables for you to walk in and eat at. Very generous portions and quality freshly made cooked Chinese. Very good portions to had to say this again. Super generous. 1st time customer would highly recommend.
Chinatown Restaurant
This fried chicken wings combo is absolutely mouthwatering! The wings are perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, with juicy, tender meat inside that bursts with flavor. Paired with hot, savory fried rice loaded with veggies and just the right amount of seasoning—every bite is packed with deliciousness. It looks amazing and tastes even better!
Absolutely love this place! The portions are very generous, the prices are super affordable, and the food tastes amazing. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it came out hot, crispy, and full of flavor — just the way it should be! You definitely get your money’s worth here. Highly recommend if you’re craving some classic American Chinese takeout!
China Palm
How this place doesn't have 5 stars is beyond me. Maybe it's the lack of seating and dingy look that people rate this place poorly but I'm from NYC and there are Chinese restaurants on every corner which aren't as good as they use to be 15 years ago. This place reminds me of that old nyc take out Chinese food. Delicious everything. Service was fast also.
Just received my order and it is incorrect, taste is horrible, and the portion is a joke. I am re Cooking the curry because it did not look done. The chicken you see is what was provided Do not order from here!! Check the photos for proof. We literally just threw money in trash
Fried Rice Kitchen
Just ordered myself food from here to my job honey chicken nuggets so nasty and recooked! The food wasn’t fresh at all I would never eat from here again waste of my money and time! Honey chicken nuggets without the bone chicken and shrimp fried rice DISGUSTING
Food was fantastic and well worth it. I would have given them a 5, except that it took over an hour for the food (other customers' food too.) on a Sunday at the beginning of the day and the look of the store when you walk in is quite unappealing with random marker and pen writing and drawings all over the wall. I ordered shrimp chop suey, sauteed tofu with vegetables (had a tasty brown sauce) and the special Wonton soup was delicious.
China Express
Literally ordered honey garlic chicken WINGS and after waiting an hour to get it, I received the wrong food. Offered to bring it back for a replacement of my proper order and was declined. They said they had to listen to the call first… what?! I don’t eat boneless chicken!
Not the best Chinese food but not terrible either. I gave the restaurant's atmosphere one star because the place literally looks like a crack den- the interior looks like it hasn't been updated in 40 years. It's a tiny restaurant that smells musty but the employees are pretty friendly. I tried the Schezuan chicken and it was $17 but a very big portion so I guess the price was justified. I like that the vegetables were fresh but they were also not totally cooked so the food tasted a little weird. Also the zucchini didn't fit and tasted odd. With that said, they give you a big block of white rice to eat with it so the food is filling even though it's not incredibly flavorful or high quality. It's not bad but there are far better Chinese places in the Pompano area so I likely won't come back here.
