Top Chef
I used to like the food here, my favorite was sesame chicken and the wonton soup. However, today I decided to try something new and I ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and chicken lo mein. The portions are nice and big but the taste of the food was a bit off, the rice tasted like it almost burned or the pan that was used had burnt food on it, the lo mein was okay but the chicken in it was soggy and weird texture, the sweet and sour chicken too greasy, crunchy which is good at least but that was it. I think they can improve on those or maybe it was a bad day. The restaurant is a bit dirty and could use a change in the furniture which is very old and bad condition
Any Chinese Restaurant that uses actual Chinese Language in their signage has to have good food. The cashier was friendly and took My Order correctly. The place had clean seating. The food was hot and came out in a reasonable time. I had Orange Chicken and Shrimp Egg Rolls. It was good.
Leo's Chinese Restaurant
I have been to a bunch of Chinese restaurants in the area, but I always keep coming back to Leo's. The food is just better here, and some of the best Chinese cuisine you'll find in the East Bay. The unassuming family-run restaurant is rather small, but the service is excellent, and the food is always fresh and flavorful. And they are very agreeable to modifying a dish to suit your taste. The menu is large and features some unique dishes. The tangerine beef was a perfect combination of sweet, tangy, and crispy... almost like eating candy. And the dried cooked green beans are a regular favorite for me, crunchy and flavorful. They have a full bar and wine list too. Always a good meal here.
I was astonished by the food. This is the best Chinese Restaurant I've ever been too! 5 stars!
Bamboo
Large portions and good flavor. The tea is no good though. Got it once and - gross. I think it’s powdered tea, yuck. No big deal as we take the food home anyway so we don’t bother ordering drinks. The staff has always been nice. They don’t give the fortune cookie so no more fun little treats.
Took forever to get served as only people doing a dine in. Plenty of in and out customers. Food was okay.
