YH Seafood Clubhouse
Totally Blown Away! We honestly thought we were walking into your typical overpriced, takeout-style Chinese spot—but wow, were we wrong. The food came out piping hot and incredibly fast. We kicked things off with the Salt and Pepper Calamari and some Lavender cocktails. The cocktails were perfectly balanced—not too strong—and looked beautiful. There were four of us, and we decided to share everything, which turned out to be the best move. We had a soup to share (plenty for the table), followed by three entrees, a rice dish (the fried rice was insanely good), and the Lo Mein. Every dish hit the mark—flavorful, not greasy, and just the right amount of saltiness. It was rich, but not heavy. Portion-wise, it was spot on. We were all full, with nothing left over, and no room for the complimentary red bean tapioca dessert (which was such a nice gesture). Service was excellent, and we’re already talking about coming back to try more of the menu!
I just want to start with saying Yummy House is a great destination for quality Chinese flavor. The decor is nicely put together and the ambiance is pleasant. When you’re seated you could almost mistake it for a high end Chinese restaurant in New York. While I enjoyed my time there, and I still remember the Lobster fried rice I enjoyed, the establishment did not honor the gift certificate I obtained via the promotion they were running at the time of my visit. I would not be disgruntled if there was an actual expiration date on the gift certificate, but there was not. In addition I was told by Vivia, she took proper steps but her supervisor did not pick up the phone so her hands were tied, that the certificate comes in two parts. It’s a tear off. I told her, “If I presented the certificate before and was trying to use it again, it wouldn’t make sense because if you’re the restaurant you would take the entire certificate. She said also that the supervisor in 2022 was no longer with them either, so it had something to do with the validity of the certificate. It is befuddling that someone leaving the business has to do with honoring something that was obtained properly due to a promotion that was being ran at the time. The certificate was for $20, after spending near $400 with a party of 8 it would just be decent for the restaurant to see there was no ill intent with the certificate but sadly, that was not the case. Moving on, as far as cuisine, they offer some of the best fried rice you’ll find in all of Orlando. They also have creative dishes like the lobster I had that is hard to come by. The price is within range for the portion and quality they offer. It is also a good venue to bring a large party or to celebrate. I know that this experience may not have been what I desired but that does not impact their culinary experience, it’s more so a reflection of their customer service.
Boiled Fish
First time try this place, and it was amazing! We ordered the golden soup fish and eggplants and green beans. The fish is so tender, and the broth is so flavorful and good spicy level. The eggplants and green beans are delicious and not spicy. Will definitely go back again to try other dishes.
The restaurant is pretty, the servers are kind, and the soup had a nice flavour but hurt/upset our tummies ☹️ service was slow and they gave us our food in random order even though we placed it one at a time in the correct order so that we could eat app first, dessert last. We received our soup first, dessert second and appetizer last. 🤷🏽♀️ Update: definitely made 3 out of 3 people sick for 2-3 days
Taste of Asia
Taste of Asia used to be my go-to for meifun and hot and sour soup. Simple, no fuss dishes. I just received my order and the meifun is gross and the soup was just starched filled water with soy sauce. I've been a loyal.custo er for years, but no more especially with the price increase. I can make my own starched filled water with soy sauce.for a.fraction of the price. Ease.get your act together!
This place reminds me of my hometown Asian restaurant, I enjoyed Taste of Asia's eggrolls better! Service was amazing and the place was very clean well kept! I ordered to go.
