The Asian Kitchen
The food here is pretty good. I ordered the conch appetizer. It was very spicy. I also ordered the salt and pepper chrome. The food has a lot of vegetables both seasoned and unseasoned. They have a wide menu and cook many aside an dishes. I do recommend
They charge slightly more money than the better Chinese restaurants for smaller food portions. First impression was five stars for the Peking Style Pork Chop which came fast before estimated delivery time and was hot. Several weeks later came back for a second time and ordered the Seafood Pan Fried Noodle. Not impressed. It was $1+ more than better Chinese restaurants, half the portion, 50% seafood and 50% vegetables (other restaurants give you at least 85% seafood), and very little sauce. I was scraping the bottom of the pan for 2 spoonful of sauce (other restaurants give you a pan practically brimming with sauce). I don't recall this dish ever comes with snow peas, corn, and so much mushrooms. The shrimp were baby size (other restaurants give you adult size shrimp). There was a shrimp shell in the dish, too. I almost thought they packed a Vegetable Pan Fried Noodles into my order instead of Seafood because of all the vegetables instead of seafood. Five star for the food packaging and giving you sushi white rice which is tastier than regular cheap white rice though.
Tropical Chinese Restaurant
Tropical Chinese in South Miami is a fantastic choice for authentic Chinese cuisine. Their amazing Dim Sum carts, especially during a rushed lunch, are a must-try, offering a wide variety of delicious and high-quality dumplings. The service is impressively fast and attentive, making for a smooth dining experience. They come by your table almost instantly after sitting don with multiple carts carrying various Dim Sum baskets, staple Chinese appetizer dishes, and more. They also keep on coming, so its very easy to order extras. There is of course also a menu to order off, featuring the cart goodies, as well as more staple dishes like Peking Duck, and rice and noodle dishes. The restaurant boasts a nice atmosphere, and the large window providing a view into the bustling kitchen adds a unique and interesting touch. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Tropical Chinese for a truly enjoyable meal.
Really excellent old school dim sum restaurant. We went on a Sunday for lunch. They bring around the dim sum on carts. So many different choices! The dumplings are great. Unfussy, but delicious. Everything is fresh & the experience is first rate. Highly recommended! It’s like walking back in time to the 80s.
