Thai Star Sushi Bar
Great service. The food was ok. The fresh spring roll was cut into 6 and wasn't worth the price of one shrimp shoved into the roll and then cut into 6 pieces. The peanut sauce was amazing. The sushi was ok, not the best.
The food was phenomenal. It was 5 of us and we tried diverse dishes and everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The papaya salad is made without fish sauce and you could taste the lime, which I love. The broccoli in brown sauce was as good as expected.
Khao Neow Sushi Thai Lao
Really can’t beat the food and service here! The restaurant is owned by the sweetest family, who walk around to ensure you’re enjoying everything. The staff are very attentive and helpful for recommendations and questions. The food is delicious, large portions, and so affordably priced. If you haven’t visited yet, you definitely should! I’ve never had a bad item on the menu!
Food -- YES: Fresh fish, priced appropriately and perfectly plated to arrive as they were ready. An order of pad Thai was had the portion was tremendous. Another meal was made out of it. Glass noodle drunken chicken was ordered and another huge portion and very good tasting. Then we ordered 8 rolls. I was wow'd by one and enjoyed the others. We took some of the rolls home as the kids didn't particularly like them but fresh fish on the outside will do that for kids. I enjoyed it for a meal the next day. Ambiance -- OK: cute, clean and calm inside. Bathrooms were very clean and table/booth was wiped down and was not sticky. Lost part of the star for the rocking tables. We had two with our party of 7, and I was afraid waters were going to spill with every elbow resting on them. Service -- Needs Work: man if only we had a server. It was as though people ordered with them and when the food was delivered they disappeared. We were never checked in on after the food was dropped off in a reasonable amount of time- and get this, rolls kept coming and never were asked if we needed anything. It was just bizarre- like a robot made to do one task, order food then deliver. Order the Skittles (cucumber wrapped roll) and the Big Daddy. Skip the BodyBuilder as no one much cared for that one and frozen thawed spinach is not appetizing
Pete's Sushi & Poke
Best spot in Tampa. Not to be said lightly. Seriously. Everything was delicious and super fresh. I can't wait to come back and I haven't even left yet. 🤣
Pete's is excellent! Food is tremendous, great sushi and poke bowls. Pete treats you like family. This is my favorite place to eat at the beach. Very reasonably priced for sushi, too. My daughter and wife love it also.. The most requested restaurant in my household. Frequent customer, reliably delicious!
Coco's Crush Bar and Grill IRB
Great service and wonderful food. We had the grouper sandwich, gator Nuggets. Our waitress was awesome names Heidi from Muskegon, Mi. She gave us good drink suggestions as well as best for choices. Will be visiting again soon!
Good atmosphere, we went on a Friday night and there was a live singer (our experience was only mildly tainted by our server revealing that he was actually lip-synching - wish we didn't know that!) Service was good, friendly. Food was ok but a bit of a let down. Mahi Mahi was fresh tasting but a bit cold, chicken wings were under-cooked, fries cold, the Gator bites were interesting but a bit 'mushy' and very salty. Maybe it would be better on a different night.
Thai-Am #2 Restaurant
This place was a great little gem we found while walking around. The petite lady there was such a sweetheart. Very attentive and friendly while taking our order. There are two menus, one for the their Thai cuisine and another for sushi. If you want sushi, ask for that menu when you sit. I got there Crab Rangoon, spring rolls, Sushi rolls # 24, 25, 30 and 31. Everything was fresh and delicious!! My friends got their Chicken Pad Thai and fried calamari. I’d highly recommend stopping in for food if you’re walking down from getting your Wine slushy at Florida Winery!
I’m so glad we took a chance on this little place. I wish I had taken pictures of all food to show you. It was fresh and yummy. I loved their Mexico sushi roll best. All the sushi we ordered was amazing. The appetizer we ordered was heaping full, and the chicken fried rice that’s shown was a hit. The service was excellent and they were so kind.
