Trini's Chinese Bites
This may sound strange but Trini Chinese food is completely different, and better tasting than Chinese fast food. The other complication is that it is pretty difficult to find an authentic Trini Chinese food business in South Florida. Trini's Chinese Bites could not have been any harder to find, but was well worth the exploration. Since my MCL damage I have had to return to Total Orthopedic for my progress to be reviewed by the doctor. After a visit, I searched for food in the area and was excited to find this restaurant. It is a takeout only establishment but the area is clean and there is a clear view of the kitchen, so you can see all the tasty delights getting prepared. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and able to answer any questions you might have about the menu. I love that smell of fresh, well seasoned food being prepared in front of you. The menu is full of local (Trinidad) favorites, like Char Sui Kai Fan and Pepper Chicken, and sides as well. The portions are huge, tasty, and mouthwatering. Everything was cooked to perfection and the wait time was very short. The fried rice had the taste and flavor of the Dragon (Wok Hey), a thing that sets Chinese food places apart from each other. I only wish there were a bit more vegetables in there. As I will have many more trips to the doctor until I am fully healed, I will be back to Trini's Chinese Bites until I have tried everything on the menu. Hope to see you there.
I had the pleasure of meeting Kim, the new owner, yesterday when I picked up my food. She is so pleasant, kind and polite. The service is outstanding and the food is very delicious and affordable. The restaurant looks brand new inside. With alot more variety like coffee, bobba tea, etc. I will definitely be returning😊 Keep up the great work Kim🫶 It was a pleasure meeting you. Best Regards, Kendra.
Gou Lou Cheong BBQ Restaurant
This establishment likely ranks among the top three pork dishes I have ever savored. The duck was also delectable. Notably, the cost of the meal is reasonable, unlike many establishments these days. I highly recommend it. Please be aware that takeout service is the only option available.
I h a very been eating cantonese-style bbq for 60 years now. Being from Philadelphia there are numerous restaurants & takeouts in Chinatown that sell super bbq duck, pork & other savory items. I traveled to Chinatown new york hundreds of times for outstanding bbq. But lo & behold, I now live in Miami Lakes so my quest began 2 years ago to see if there is an authentic cantonese-style bbq store in south Florida. Well today I founded it, nestled in a strip shipping center. Small, cramped, busy & the "real thing"! Family-run, cash or Zelle accepted, no nonsense, place your order & wait. The key here is to get there early, they open at 11am & may sell out of the prized ducks & fatty crispy pork by midday! I purchased a while duck at $36, 2 lb of fatty crispy pork at $16 lb, lb of honey baked pork at $16 & a large order of sautéed cabbage at $6. They do have a few more offerings but these are the best, I think. The fatty, crispy pork was the best I've ever eaten, the duck was juicy, crispy & included dipping sauces. FANTASTIC!☆☆☆
Kirin Restaurant
Went here on a Tuesday for dinner with my bro. We were seated right away. The staff is very friendly and eager to explain the menu. This feel like Authentic Chinese Cuisine. I'm not an expert, but I think more Cantonese style. The food was beyond DELICIOUS. I shall return.
In October 2024, twelve of us went to the newly reopened Kirin Restaurant in Lauderdale Lakes for dinner. The restaurant was clean, bright, and spacious, making it an ideal venue for banquets and wedding receptions. They serve traditional Cantonese cuisine and offer dim sum cart service during lunchtime. Since we had a large group, we ordered double portions of everything. The Crab and Fish Soup was fresh and delicious, and the classic Kirin Stir Fry was so flavorful that it was perfect with rice. The Ginger Scallion Lobster was also excellent. My personal favorite was the Crispy Pork Intestine with Pickled Vegetables, which was incredibly tasty. The Grilled Oysters, which were huge and paired with a delicious sauce, were a hit with everyone. There were many other dishes, and two friends particularly enjoyed the Stir-Fried Lotus with Soybean Sauce, as it's a flavor not commonly found here. The Hong Kong Style Pork Chops were crispy with a sweet sauce, and they were very tasty. We all found the food to be very delicious, and the owner was very friendly. We heard that there will soon be karaoke available, so we highly recommend this place for group gatherings and enjoying great food.
Fortune Restaurant
Food barely had flavors, Rice is very bland. DO NOT ORDER THE PEPPER STEAK, They filled up the plate with Mostly BIG Pieces of Peppers and Onions, They barely put any STEAK and it seems purposely done so they can save money and false advertising, the plate was filled with big pieces of green Peppers and Onions, The steak was Slimy and Chewy and they give you the smallest possible amount lol Do yourself a favor and choose another Chinese food
DIRTY DINING: I ordered from uber eats last night actually ate from this quart of rice. I went to heat up and eat more and when I dumped the carton of rice into the place A ROACH was at the bottom of the carton in the rice.
Caridou Restaurant
It wasn't what I was looking for
