Sumo Japanese Restaurant
I have ordered here before and it’s always good. First, I will say I ordered at 8:26 PM and they close at 9 PM. But this was my order tonight. Shrimp and steak were way over, cooked rice was mush, salad was entire iceberg leaves. I will give it another shot, can’t judge on one time.
Delicious food, waitress issues. There are a couple of waitresses that usually work here together or alone. One with eyeglasses is sweet as can be with a great smile and super pleasant manners and service. The other has a mean face and attitude, enough to ruin my last meal when she rolled her eyes when I ordered. It’s a crapshoot when you go which waitress you’ll get. I’m improving the odds by never going back there again and that’s a shame. I’ve seen a couple of similar comments in other reviews so why should I spend money here if she makes it an unpleasant experience and the area has multiple other Japanese restaurants to enjoy.
Jade Palace
We actually have large group of people around nine people in total. The food was the best I’ve had since a little place in Chinatown in LA. The service was fantastic considering how busy it was weight. Staff was very attentive. The food was on point and the appetizers were great. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
I went for lunch and got takeout for my Myself and my Sister She got Bourban Chicken and I got Cashew Chicken...dishes are not your normal style one would expect of these very standard dishes. The Cashew Chicken was Garlic Chicken with Cashews...most overpowering garlic thing I've ever had....less than great/ and my Sisters Bourbon chicken was NOT Bourbon chicken. It was Cornmeal fried, super sweet and sticky and a lot of red food coloring - and then they also forgot to include the egg-rolls for which I had to drive back, and those were pretty terrible but fried well. (The inside condiment sucked). Overall very disappointing, This place has great reviews but I'm not understanding how?
