Ocean Buffet
Very nice buffet selections. Our Friday night dinner was good. The food quality was great. They have prime rib, crab, several different kinds of shrimp, a hibachi bar, sushi and much more. The soft drinks are not included in the price and is a separate charge. Decent atmosphere other than the servers eyeballing you and checking your plates LOL 😆... But I felt pressured and rushed as the server lady kept wanting to give us our check. We weren't even there for 25 minutes and she tried bringing the checks.. Needless to say I didn't tip 🤡😅, Yea sure, the food was good... but she kept staring over at our table like we were never gonna leave. And we were in an out in under an hour.. And since when did Chinese restaurants stop giving out fortune cookies...? That's the best part... 👀 They gave me candy mints or something... Cheapskates.,.... 🙄👎
We went on 12/25 it was packed, with fewer places open, the price was increased however, we were 4, the line moved quickly. Our waiter was nice and attentive to refills. Buffet had a bit of everything.
Seafood Dock
Food was good, cocktail sauce tastes like BBQ sauce, not cocktail sauce. Tarter sauce is tasteless other rhen mayo and sugar in it. Plastic fork broke and when asked waitress she didn't respond. No straws and glass had lipstick on it. Nearby person was playing music loud over phone overwhelmed by it. Manager should have asked her to turn off. The sample lunch basket shrimp, chicken and fried tilapia was like fast food. Good, but really breaded.
I am very disappointed. No lemon!?!? No LEMON WITH SEAFOOD?! IT'S IN ALL THE PHOTOS... ITS A SEAFOOD STAPLE!! Couldn't select lemon on the online menu, no hint of it in food flavor. If you order boiled potatoes ..pay for butter because there isn't any on the side. Clam strips not great bc they lack LEMON. I don't recommend this as a takeout meal. My clam strips & fries were soggy in the 15 minutes back to the hotel. Fried oysters🙊never again I ordered takeout so can't comment on atmosphere but it looks like a cool place to dine. I was planning on dining here the rest of my week here if it was good and overall, it would have been great if there was LEMON. If they have lemon I might done in . Maybe bring your own?
A'xin Sushi&Hibachi
We had Toro, Eel, Yellowtail, Salmon nigiri , Jonesville rolls and seaweed salad. And they are all amazing! The Toro just melt in the mouth. This has been one of the best sushi restaurants we have been in Gainesville. Fish is super fresh and delicious. We will definitely come back. This is a hidden gem.
Ordered tofu hibachi. The food was good.. Except the tofu. It was the mushiest tofu I've ever had, couldn't even pick it up without it disintegrating.
O Sole Mio Cucina Italiana
The waiters were great and the atmosphere was good too. I ordered a dish with ziti pasta in it, but got penne pasta instead. I looked up other images of their ziti dishes afterwards and noticed that they just do that. Not sure if they just didn’t have it in stock, but it would’ve been nice to know before I ordered that they had to substitute.
What a wonderful little gem! The servers were all attentive, kind and courteous, Ben in particular. Even with a busy rush of dinner, food came out quickly. The food quality is incomparable to other places in the area, and the restaurant is very accommodating to reasonable plate modifications. Well worth the price and the drive! A location in downtown Gainesville would thrive.
Wok A Holic
I bought lunch at this place today. Biggest mistake ever! The food looked good, but when I got home and actually started to eat it, I realized it was at least a day old, maybe more. The meat was completely inedible. It was so tough I couldn't chew it. They will deny it, of course, but I know meat. I can tell when meat is freshly cooked and when meat is a day old or older. The dish was supposed to be bourbon chicken, but the meat was brown instead of white. Do not waste your money at this restaurant!
Wok a holic is the best restaurant in the mall because they food is always fresh. I never had a complaint or question about how food taste they food is very delicious. The staff are very respectful cool great and awesome. They give great customer service satisfaction. They are very very professional congratulations
Green Tree
Beware. I work in the area close to this restaurant and me and a coworker order lunch from here today. I got their sesame chicken lunch special and the chicken was hard a rocks totally un-eatable. I called them and informed them of this and was basically told * too bad* we fry it that way and next time if you don't want it hard let us know. Then proceed to disconnect the call. To say I'm very disappointed is an understatement 😞 they didn't even apologize or seem concerned about it. I would think twice before going back here.
Very busy and some of the freshest Chinese I’ve had, every piece of general Tso chicken was good. The fried wontons (krab rangoons) are amazing also will be coming back forsure! The sesame chicken was perfect
Subway
The staff on duty asked if I wanted items on my sandwich that I was not thinking of as it has been a while since I order from subway. She prepared the sandwich as an artist with a canvas. The condiments and topping were even throughout the sandwich. She was friendly with conversation. The area was very clean in appearance. I enjoyed my sandwich.
Very rude woman was very grumpy when I called aloud: hello could I please have some help? Was standing there counter unattended for five minutes.
Red Wok
Had great experience of the buffet in the town of Newberry! A lot of sushi and roll items with diverse type of chickens whereas orange chicken was great. Also noodles, fried rice and veggies was there. The environment was cool and the service girl was very decent and polite. Highly recommended buffet to get your tummy cherished for lunch and dinner. Also do not miss the dessert, fruits and ice cream. Great focal point for foodies! Seems not too many options at first but you get on enjoying the food then we get satisfied before you leave! Usually during evening you can have empty seats and enjoy good time with your family.
the teriyaki chicken was great! lo mein, rice, and beef broccoli were cold. no spring rolls :( they have cute hotel style cakes. fried sugar dough was good, but only a few left. i think there was a tiny hair in the shrimp. they give u fortune cookies before you leave :). my stomach was a little uneasy after.
Suki Hana
Suki Hana is very a great awesome place to eat at they food is fresh too specially when be on the grill and it be sizzling and cooking. very, very delicious when I first tried the food it was like make you wanna go back and keep eating and keep eating it and is that delicious great food they are one big family and when I say, they are very great and respectful they are great wonderful staff. I never had a problem with the staff or the food. Because they are kind, they are professional and that’s why I’m saying this everything I’m saying it’s true and I give them 10 star rating because they that awesome
Stop purchasing food from this place! The service, food sucks. The food they give you are becoming less and the prices are up. They have a young boy on the grill and a young girl running the register with very bad attitudes and when you ask them a question they look at you stupid and walk off. I ordered 3 chicken combo plates and asked them to steam my veggies soft he did not and said he did a s refused to cook it over after I paid almost 35.00, I asked for a refund and will never go back.
