Peruvian Food Blessing
All the food was delicious, it is an exquisite experience, the only one in Gainesville, I recommend it 100%
Never had Peruvian food before and we saw this place and wanted to give it a try. The whole vibe is welcoming and comforting. You can tell it’s a mom and pop restaurant. The lady at the front was super nice and gave us free samples of the Chicha Morada drink; which, btw was delicious. My boyfriend ordered Pollo a la Brasa quarter chicken and I ordered tamales and tres leches. Something on the lighter side for us. Pollo was flavorful, fragrant and had a smoky finish. The homemade sauces were really good too but I didn’t know their names. Tamales reminded me of the ones that my old coworker made for me. Also flavorful and it was moist. Juicy, not dry at all. All in all, this whole lunch we had was made with love. Like going to your grandma’s for lunch. You have to be mindful that other cultures have different views on portions and plating. You can’t come in here expecting American portions. You’re spoiled for that. I’ve read some of the reviews here and it seems people just wanted to complain just to complain. Give this restaurant a try before making assumptions.
