Koo’s Kitchen
We had a fantastic experience at Koos! We ordered a mix of Chinese and Thai dishes, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, and each dish was packed with authentic flavors. The service was quick and polite, making the entire experience even better. If you’re looking for great Chinese and Thai food in Englewood, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Second visit to Koo's Kitchen, and food did not disappoint in quality or quantity. A take-out place with good prices for what you get. When I stopped in, it was packed with customers, so I expected to wait a while for my order since I placed it there, not a call ahead. The girl at the register was super friendly, helpful with food suggestions, and quick! My order was ready surprisingly fast and food was all very good!
China Wok of Port Charlotte
This was the worst Chinese food we have ever had. The vegetable egg foo young was mushy and tasteless with canned peas and carrots and a few bean sprouts for vegetables. The yellow gravy was tasteless. The sweet and sour pork was small heavy battered bits of off tasting pork sausage with a tasteless red sauce. No peppers, pineapple or tomato like you would expect. We could not eat it. The vegetable fried rice was edible, but had no Chinese vegetables, mostly peas. I never post reviews, but this was so terrible and disappointing.
This is the WORST Chinese food ever. I've tried this spot about 3 times. I'm a huge fan of the 3 strike rule. Last thing I tried was the walnut shrimp and it was terrible. It seemed as if they put powdered sugar in water and threw a few walnuts in the mix and poured that on top of deep fried shrimp. I was soo disappointed. The sweet and sour chicken that I usually get from any Chinese restaurant was also sub par. You usually can't mess up sweet and sour chicken but this place figured out how to. The rice was always too dry for me like its just cooked and put in the fridge then re-heated as needed. I just can't do this spot anymore. It's almost always been pretty much inedible "food". The people praising this restaurant must really like bad food or they get really lucky when they order. I'm done wasting my money.
