I was really hoping for a great meal from China Gourmet, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The food was average at best, and some dishes were disappointing. The lemon chicken was greasy and overcooked, making it nearly inedible. For a meal that cost over $40, it’s frustrating to end up throwing most of it away. I always try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but the quality just wasn’t there this time. Hoping this was just an off night, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering again anytime soon.

It was good. I ordered this seafood deluxe one thing I can tell you it NEEDS to be cooked at least 15 minutes longer my seafood deluxe, everything in it what's half raw, I had to come home and Re cook it other than that everything is good

Best and most authentic Chinese in Homosassa! We eat here at least once a month, if not more. Delicious sticky rice and the most flavorful egg rolls ever. 😋

Restaurant is 7 miles from our house, how convenient is that. Had an earlier dinner, it being New Year’s Eve figured we beat the crowd. Walked in and it wasn’t that busy yet. Our waitress was very sweet and took our order. She brought our egg drop soups and they were hot and very tasty. Next up, our fried meat dumplings appetizer came and they were just delicious. By then the restaurant got busy and people coming for carry outs. We waited awhile for our dinners, our waitress was very apologetic to us. When they arrived,it was well worth the wait. I ordered House garlic chicken with white rice medium hot. It was a large portion and very excellent I must say. Husband ordered Shrimp with Lobster sauce and it was full of good size shrimp and very tasty, he loved it. Prices were reasonable for what you got. We will come back again, maybe tomorrow, we really enjoyed our dinner and employees were very nice. Debbie

The temperature of the oil in the wok is always perfect! Not an easy task for most places. Very reasonable prices. Hard working pair. They put love in their cooking and it makes you love the food. I absolutely love all of the rolls. Never soggy, perfect fry every time. This is the only place I go for Chinese food.

This place the food is bland I ordered chicken lomein no chicken in the meal but a little sliver one tiny piece then the lady says im sorry I can’t help and can’t refund you because food left the store already I highly recommend you stay away from this place it’s robbery and they won’t make it right.

This is a small place. I would not dine in because the setting is small but the food is excellent for take-out. Service is great! They always double check that you got your entire order before they give it to you. Food is excellent. High quality! We love their shrimp dishes and beef and scallops.

OMG.... I have FINALLY found amazing chinese food. The best fried rice ever! We ordered a few things and everything was delicious. DON'T go anywhere else. This is the 5th place I have tried since moving back, and I won't go anywhere else from now on.

We have eaten at Mr King's several times and have always had delicious food. The Egg Drop soup is so good. My husband enjoyed the Happy Family meal tonight, which contained Beef, Pork, Chicken, Shrimp & Scallops with vegetables and Steamed Rice was full of flavor. I had the Chicken Curry with Steamed Rice. One of the nicest Chinese curries I have had. Authentic and full of flavor The staff are wonderful. Very friendly, helpful and efficient. Even remembering that I am unable to eat pork. The restaurant is clean and welcoming.

If you are looking for gluten free, here is your place! They made me fried garlic shrimp w cornstarch instead of flour. The sauce was soo yummy! Always great and friendly service

IF I COULD RATE A ZERO FOR FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE I WOULD. First time eating here 12/13/2024. We spent $50.19 and the only thing that was edible was the egg roll, which was still soggy. We got 2 shrimp w lobster sauce combo platters, sweet and sour chicken combo platter, a small wonton soup, and a qt of shrimp lomein. Shrimp with lobster sauce was SLIMY AND RICE WAS HARD AND VEGGIES IN RICE WERE HARD AND BURNT AT THE SAME TIME. Wonton soup the meat inside was rancid. This made me throw-up. When I went into pick up the order the place was not clean. There was a vent filter on the outside of the vent and looked like it had not been changed in years. Floor gross and sticky. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.

I recently ordered here because the take out by me closes at 8pm and was blown away by their boneless spare ribs! They were perfectly cooked—juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The glaze was a perfect balance of sweet and savory, with just the right amount of caramelization. Each bite was better than the last. The portion size was generous, and the meat was high quality—no dry or chewy pieces here. It paired perfectly with the fried rice on the side. If you're a fan of Chinese takeout or just love a good plate of spare ribs, this the place to go. Highly recommend! The lady inside is lovely to talk to!

This place is hit or miss depending on who is cooking. They have some people that are excellent and the food is perfect, then other days where it just kinda sucks. This is one of those days. Last couple time I got fried rice it was very good, today the rice is under cooked and has simultaneously crunchy and soggy texture (usually a sign of either not cooked long enough or water not hot enough). So I would recommend this place, but you never know what you’ll get.

Arrived at 10:05, Sunday morning. I think we were the first customers inside, everyone was busy getting ready for the day but we were greeted and helped fast. Portions were huge! I got the Bigger Plate for $11.30, should have gone with the option with only two entrees. Got a large drink, it was the size of my head. Super great deals. I can't say this enough, fresh and stocked. Either they have a great closing crew or the employees I saw this morning bust their butts. All tables clean. Something I noticed. Especially with having a child under two who uses the high chair at places, this is often an overlooked thing to clean. Well I happened to check out the high chair here and it looks super clean. Either it's never been used (unlikely) or they really keep this restaurant clean. Will be back again.

First and last time I get from here. I got sweet and sour chicken and worked fried rice. It doesn't smell or taste right. It's not good,it's not terrible and I'm not picky .

This is my go-to spot whenever I’m in town for business. It’s clean, conveniently located, and the food is authentic, fresh and simply delicious. The shrimp egg rolls are perfectly seasoned and fresh; their chicken with broccoli is perfectly cooked and mouth-watering. Check it out, you will be glad you did.

Go here now! I avoided this place for so long bc of the 3 star rating, but it was amazing! The owners are very nice. The food was flavorful, fresh, hot, and very generously portioned. Best egg roll and krab rangoons I've had in years!

The food here is absolutely delicious! I absolutely love Chinese food, and this is one of the better places in the area. Our service has always been great, and they have always gotten everything on point. There is a Chinese restaurant that is only 5 minutes from where I live, but I would rather drive the extra 15-20 minutes to pick up Chinese to go from here. They have always been very courteous to us when we go there. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I moved here from Tampa, and Miami before that. So I’ve had some amazing Chinese food. This place is pretty close. I have gotten food here maybe 6-10 times already and haven’t been disappointed or had bad service. The staff are good people. I recommend them for sure.

My husband is obsessed with the pork fried rice with bourbon - it's his go-to order every time. If you’re on the hunt for: Generous portions that can last for days? Check. Always hot and fresh? You bet. And the family who runs the joint? Kind, courteous, and genuinely warm. Now, I've seen some naysayers out there, but let me tell you, those people must have been having a bad day. We all have off days, but to let that define The Fortuner? No way. This place is a gem, and I'm not afraid to shout it from the rooftops. If you haven’t been to The Fortuner yet, what are you even doing with your life?!

We were in the area and tried them for takeout. It was totally empty around lunch time.The service was nice and fast. Food is not the best. The beef was rubbery and most of the veggies weren't crisp. The real shock was the rice was overcooked and or old and the egg rolls were about the same as the frozen supermarket type. For the price it would be hard to recommend them.

This is my new review. I find the trick to this place is going at lunch time. The workers are nice and rested and the food is much more fresh at lunch time. If you go for dinner, not so much... Its understandable. The poor girls work so hard, and such long hours every day. The cream crab is awesome. I've eaten here a hundred times, my love to all the staff... This is my friendly review.

We came here to enjoy dinner on Friday night, when we came to enjoy the Hibachi that they have with their buffet grabbing noodles appeared a cockroach head. Immediately disgusted and brought to their attention. They told us they were replacing the food and gave us 20% off and told us to go on about our day. Definitely won’t be coming back to this place.
