Ploy Thai
Excellent service, food was delicious. We tried the Shrimp Dumplings, Crab Rangoon, Tom Kha (Coconut Soup) as the appetizer. As entrees we tried the Duck Panang and the Thai Garden fried rice with shrimp. 200% recommended
Ploy Thai offers great service and a welcoming ambiance. Despite being located in a nondescript plaza, the interior is beautifully decorated, giving it the feel of a nicer restaurant. We started with the miso soups and crab rangoons. Both were delicious. The rangoons had a pleasant surprise--a hint of curry sauce inside, which added a flavorful twist. The miso soup was hearty and more elevated than the typical version, making it a perfect way to start the meal. For our entrees, we tried the Panang curry and the crispy duck. The Panang curry was outstanding, and I'd definitely recommend it. The crispy duck, which was heavily promoted around the restaurant, looked great but unfortunately was extremely dry. It didn't meet expectations, especially compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, I highly recommend giving Ploy Thai a try. While the crispy duck was a bit of a letdown, the rest of the experience more than made up for it! Oh, and the Thai iced coffee was fantastic!!!
Umi Sushi & Seafood Buffet -Brandon FL
Overall, this seafood buffet offers decent food for the price. The service was solid — our plates were cleared often, which is always appreciated. There’s a lot of variety to choose from, including fresh sushi and sashimi, hot pot, ramen, stir-fry, endless amounts of sauces and condiments, and plenty of seafood options. The sushi choices were definitely the highlight, fresh and tasty. On the downside, we were seated far away in what seemed like an overflow / private room, even though the place wasn’t crowded, which felt a bit odd. To make things a bit uncomfortable, a worker / waitress (not ours) had her child there seated next to us, playing a loud tablet and even cutting his nails right next to us. While I get that babysitting sometimes doesn’t work out and you have to bring your kid to work, not a big issue, It was a little off-putting and definitely not the most sanitary vibe. While the food and service were fine, we’ll likely look for other options next time.
Honestly I don't understand why this place is so lonely rated. I was actually hesitant to come here at first because it had such low stars. I have been to an Umi at a different location that was also lowly rated. I think that this place is amazing because it has something for everybody. You definitely don't need to love fish to come here because they have a lot of cooked options and it's almost like they merged a Chinese buffet with a high quality sushi place. I will say that there's no crab legs are a little weird and I didn't love them but they're blue crab was amazing. The garlic butter oysters were absolutely fantastic and actually better than the route oysters which I normally like raw better. I think their Sushi was a really high quality but they did have a lot of rules that had fake crab in it instead of just fish which I don't love. I really loved that they had free milk tea available. The Ube was the best but they didn't have a lot of that they put out. Overall i would totally come back here again. I will say i hated all the desserts I tried but the food was the best part for sure.

Sushi Maru
Nice quiet atmosphere for dinner with easy listening music. I've been there several times throughout the years. Our server was excellent and very attentive. The sushi was fresh, but very average fair and not the highest quality. Miso soup was ok without tofu and little flavor. Kirin ichiban beer was great in a frosty mug. They serve Korean food as well .
Everything was delicious, we ordered the traditional rolls to share, Tampa, Mexican, Alaskan, Jphilly and avocado Tuna, chk & shrimp fried rice, gyonza, and a bento box with teriyaki salmon. Everybody agreed that they were on point. Drink menu is a bit limited and I wish the QR code to see the menu had pictures specially of the diner options, is hard to order guessing how it will look. But other than that we will be back.
Red Lobster
So, after 6 weeks in recovery from major surgery, I cannot say enough about the outstanding service my husband and I received at Red Lobster in Brandon, FL (2604 W. Brandon Blvd). From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel like valued guests. A special shoutout to Manager Tyra, who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. She was genuinely excited to hear our feedback about our food partner, Jazmine, which truly showed her passion for her team and customer satisfaction. Her attention to detail, engaging eye contact, and deep knowledge of the menu made our experience even more enjoyable. She checked in with us regularly, making sure we had everything we needed while allowing us to enjoy our meal at a comfortable pace. God loves you all deeply! Our lunch date was made even better by the delicious food and excellent service. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. It’s rare to find a team so dedicated to ensuring guests have a memorable experience, and Tyra exemplified top-tier hospitality. If you’re looking for great seafood and outstanding service in Brandon, this Red Lobster location is a must-visit! We will definitely be back.
Josh m was very pleasant! I loved the way he engaged with me and my son told us stories! I enjoyed him very much! Our food was delicious and came out very quick! I give him 5 star ratings
Jesse's Steak and Seafood
Went to Jesse’s Steak and Seafood with a group of five and had a great experience overall. I ordered the lemon salmon, which was delicious, and everyone in my group really enjoyed their meals too. The place was pretty packed, so we ended up sitting in the bar area, but that didn’t bother us—the food came out fast, hot, and full of flavor. Service was solid—our waiter was friendly and clearly knew the menu well, which helped with some recommendations. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the quality of the food and the overall experience made it worth it. If you’re looking for a good spot for seafood or steak and don’t mind spending a bit more, Jesse’s is a solid choice.
An establishment that’s been around to stand the test of time. Their sign claims to have been open for 45 years and after dining here I’m not surprised! First impressions are interesting. It’s very clear it’s a hometown steak house. Nothing fancy, not trying to win you over with their chic aesthetic. People come here and know what to expect, awesome food, service with a smile and going home with a fully belly’s and possibly some new friends. As you walk in, you are greeted with a southern charm of smiling hostess and that charm continues throughout the entire dining experience. The food is absolutely phenomenal, the service is top tier. My wife and I will definitely make the drive to come back and visit! Well done Jesse’s, Cheers to 45 more glorious years!
Kobé Japanese Steakhouse - Brandon
We've been regular customers of Kobe Japanese Steakhouse in Brandon for the past 11 years, consistently enjoying the experience. It used to be our go-to spot for our kids' birthdays because the hibachi show was always super entertaining for them. We hadn't been there in a while and decided to return tonight, and it was nice to see that the restaurant has remodeled a bit and expanded from 18 to 22 Teppanyaki tables. The food and service continue to deserve 4 stars. The chefs are always kind, accommodating, and generous - not just with portions but also with refills of their signature sauces, like the Yum Yum sauce and Ginger sauce. Their salad dressing is especially good, and my son always looks forward to their strawberry smoothies, served with a pineapple slice on the side. The reason I can't quite give five stars is because they cook with vegetable oil, which isn't the healthiest option. That said, I do appreciate that they switched from margarine to regular butter about two years ago-a definite improvement. The food itself is pretty good but undeniably heavy, so it's best to come with a hearty appetite. Another small recommendation would be to make the sushi rolls a bit smaller. While the flavor is great, the rolls are so large that it's hard to enjoy them in one bite, and cutting them in half/biting them often causes them to fall apart. Overall, the food remains consistently good, and the restaurant is always bustling - a clear sign that it's a local favorite.
My family went to this Brandon location to celebrate my 2 nephews birthdays. It was a first time for them. Our server was Winnie and our chef was Bruce. Let me tell you them 2 working as a pair is what made our night. Both of them so engaging and know how to keep the table engaged the whole time.. I didn't hear other tables laughing like ours. We will go back to this location just to have Bruce and Winnie.
Lee House
The customer service here is outstanding and they bring in the food fast, fresh and hot. The reason for a 4/5 star is only because me personally the seafood Chow Fun was okay, it still tastes great but I’ve had better. Great price and portion here as well. The place is clean from what I can tell and it does give you that home customer service vibe. I’ve seen a few regulars going in so that gives you an idea. Plenty of free parking outside so no worries on looking. Overall, I highly recommend.
First time eating here and it was a great experience. Food is delicious and good portions for the price. The roast pork is yummy! Candy’s service was awesome. She is very friendly and attentive, made the meal more enjoyable. Will be coming back!
Panda Express
Everytime I went there I gave it the 3 strike rule. They got 3 strikes in a row in 2 weeks. All veggies no meats. And low quality on the flavor. Not worth the price.
Worst Panda express I’ve been !!! There’s always a problem with this exact location it was the only one I had close to me, went in and got three plates $40+ paid extra for the angus steak and they charged it but didn’t put it in the plate !! If you want to eat panda I suggest any other location but this one
