While the restaurant is small, and right off of the busy road. IIt offered a cozy and welcoming atoatmosphere. The lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful with our orders. The food was really tasty and was prepared to orderl. The steamed soup buns were sooooo good and I had to get a second order before leaving our meal. The chicken in garlic sauce was really flavorful and was something I would get again. The Beef Szechuan was alright but I would probably choose something else next time as it wasn't as flavorful as everything else. All around great section for the evening.

Food was hot and fantastic! Price was great! Service was fast! If you are looking for a no frills Chinese restaurant. This is the place to go. We had the shrimp fried rice, orange chicken and General Tso’s chicken.

My 3rd visit to DC and every time we come, we make sure to eat here. Authentic and delicious! My must haves include the fresh made noodles and dumplings. The portions are large, so great value. Due to a fire last spring, they closed and used that as an opportunity to renovate. How fortunate are we that they just reopened yesterday! The place is beautiful!! They updated the atmosphere but they are still the same in heart! It is a family run restaurant and some of their non-family staff have been with them for 30 years. Truly a must visit in DC!

I was really disappointed with my overall experience. The food was not fresh and the service was poor. The "crispy" pork & ducky was soggy, it was not at all crispy. The "soup" dumplings was dry & hard, with no soup at all - I believe all these foods were leftovers and was heated up by microwave... and the service was below average... the waitress keep telling us it was the freshest food, keep watching us eat like hawks cuz they didn't have any business and we were the only table inside... and watch me to see how much I tip at the end... made it extremely uncomfortable…... This was the only bad experience visiting DC. Avoid this place if you can.

Today I have another installment of D.C.’s worst rated food. Last week this place was rated 2.0 stars on Google. Magically it’s now rated 3.5 stars. Yelp puts them at 2.0 too. KNOW what to order from these carryout’s!! Trust!! . Where I am: Golden China . Location Reviewed: 1703 6th St., N.W. Washington D.C. . Menu Includes: Steak n Cheese, Fried Rice, Fries, Wings, General Tso’s Chicken, Beef n Broccoli, Egg Rolls, Lo Mein, Soups, Burgers, & MORE!! . Items Reviewed: Their Shrimp Egg Roll (With cabbage, sprouts, shrimp, & Duck sauce $3.30). DECENT. A standard egg roll from a Carryout. Greasy, but…edible while hot. Their Shrimp Fried Rice (with sprouts, soy sauce, & onions $9.10). DECENT. I had to add soy sauce to flavor this, but again…it’s edible. At least the shrimp were deveined. Their Half n Half (Half lemonade, & ice tea $3). DECENT. Sugary, but cold…not a drink for diabetics!! Their 4 Wings & French Fries (with salt, pepper, ketchup, Mumbo sauce, & hot sauce*One word in DC* on the fries, & just Mumbo sauce on the wings $10.15). DELICIOUS! The wings weren’t HUGE (which is indicative of them being genetically modified), and just doused in the mumbo sauce…tasty!! But I may be bias in this, because this meal is nostalgic for me. The Fries…DELICIOUS! This is how I’ve gotten my fries from carryout’s sine I was 12!! Sweet, spicy…eat these IMMEDIATELY, they’ll get soggy quick!! . Customer Service: I was greeted, and they even said “Thank You” when I left!! But Customer Service doesn’t stop there for me. Cleanliness is a huge part of it. This place wasn’t invited, or clean. . Online Navigation: They are online. They deliver too. . Parking: Rough . Recommendations: If you go…get what I got verbatim. A 2.0 Star rating sounds about right!! . Music: YouTube: YouTube-Backyard Band 4/12/01 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️=STAMP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️➕=LIKE THAT ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️=DELICIOUS ⭐️⭐️⭐️=DECENT ⭐️⭐️=PASS ⭐️=NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

The food in this place is mediocre, bordering on just plain bad. Ordered chicken chow mein to go and when I got home I saw some weird slop. Strictly speaking it was food. I could see chicken, vegetables, etc., but it was in some kind of clear broth with the consistency and color of snot. Maybe mine was just one in a hundred and the food is usually great. I’ll never know because I won’t return.

The orange chicken was good and all but it had to much batter on it and too much sauce and it was only a couple pieces of chicken in the sauce the noodlles were good but they made my stomach hurt. I don't know if y'all clean the dishes you put the food in but please change your ways. Would I try it again no I will be getting soup from Golden wok but orange chicken no l. The person who takes the food was coughing a little too if your sick don't come in . But the place is good it's great but there's things they need to fix plus the reviews I looked at while ordering the food were horrible try new things out

I've always liked coming here but I haven't gone in a few years due to everything going up in price. Their food just doesn't taste the same either, especially their egg rolls. I don't know what they're doing different to them. The one thing I can say though is the lady that usually answers the phone is so very nice. It's like she knows who you are on the other end and remembers people's order in the past. I still like going here but it's not going to be a habit anymore. I need to watch my pockets.

Meal: Dim Sum Day Visited: Sunday Budget: $15 Closest Station: Gallery Place/China Town Reservation Needed?: N/A Payment: Cash; Credit Kid Friendly?: Yes English Menu?: Yes Little Red Book (a Chinese social media site) rarely steers us wrong when it comes to Chinese restaurant recommendations, but they missed the mark in this case. Mediocre quality dim sum, including some suspect shrimp dumplings. Mediocre food and a fairly dirty dining room all made for a disappointing experience.

Small little Chinese eatery . Everything must freshly made ⭐️. . Every thing we ordered tasted great. No exception. Portion for the buns and dumplings are minimal. For the loin mein and rice were reasonable. . For DC standards is reasonably priced. For adult tummy filling meal be ready to spent $20 per adult. .
