Charcoal Chef
it's a nice place, i got there and there was a somewhat big crowd the food took a while to serve but i got the grilled cheese and it wasn't really the best the prices are pretty decent though and my shirley temple was great
Well, my friend and I went there for the first time and we both ordered burgers and when I asked for extra napkins because you know how messy burgers can be, the waitress said this is a no napkin restaurant. WHAT!!! They only allow only napkin per person!!! Are you freaking kidding me!!!!! And the burgers were good but because of the no extra napkins, we won’t be back!!!
No.1 China
Not pleased at all first time eating here ordered alot of food for my family the peppered steak with onion and peppers was very tasty but as you can see they messed me over on the steak badly when I called back asking about it that's just how they make it what a rip off we also got sesame chicken it was sooooo dry and hard never doing that again and the fried rice had no taste not worth the money but hey the sweet and sour chicken and lomein noodles were both amazing so good luck hope everyone else has a good experience
I was skeptical about visiting because of so many bad reviews it reviews. I'm glad I checked it out anyway. The food and the price were decent. I ordered a variety of dishes: egg foo young with white rice, won ton soup, and steamed dumplings. I received a free egg roll due to my total being over $20. The egg foo young was a little greasy and lacked flavor despite being filled with shrimp, peas and onions. The gravy was the only thing that saved this dish. The won ton soup was good. The steamed dumplings had a different filling than I'm accustomed to. I didn't care for it. The ginger-soy dumpling sauce was spicy and good, which made the dumplings edible. The egg roll had very little filling but it was good. The establishment itself was small but clean. It's to-go or take-out only. I'm willing to visit again in hopes of finding dishes I like better. Stay tuned...
Number One Kitchen
This is the best Chinese cuisine restaurant around! The food has always been perfect, Never wait for it. And they're typically always busy. But that never affects the service! I've been eating here for 5+ years. And yet to be disappointed. And frequently get a free large tea! Always be polite and courteous!
The food is delicious! We get take-out often. We usually have a large order, and they are always friendly and make sure the order is correct.
Ting-Jiang Chinese Food
Tldr; This is my go to Chinese takeout restaurant in town. I have a very strong loyalty to this establishment. The owners are very nice, and the food quality is consistent. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some takeout. You can also expect your food to be done very quickly. I have been going to this place for takeout for roughly a decade. I really like this place. The food isn't necessarily the best--in the sense of a fine Chinese restaurant--but for takeout I think its quality is VERY good. I do not mean this as something bad against this restaurant, it's just that a takeout restaurant has different priorities, expectations, and pricing requirements that a "non-takeout" restaurant does not have. I think the best bang for your buck are the dinner combinations. They are great dinner meals, and depending on the person could even be lunch for the next day! I love that fact. If you do like individual orders--in the sense of an order of rice, and noodles, etc.--they have you covered as well. There are a lot of options, more so than the dinner combinations. Variety is the spice of life, you just have to pay a bit more since you are buying containers; which may not be a problem for you! One of my favorite things about this place are the people. The owners are great. My main interaction is the woman. She is very kind, though you have to be patient as her English is difficult to understand at times: not all of the time. It has certainly gotten much better over the years. I also love that the restaurant is a family affair. Over the many years I have gone here, I've been privileged to see her children grow up and help her at the counter with customers. I have always loved it. Though, I have seen less of her children now, but I guess they got old enough to need to focus on other endeavors. I wish them the best. This restaurant also supports digital ordering. You can use the qMenu app to send in an order. It's very convenient, and I highly recommend it. Like most things in Woodbury, and CT to a greater degree, delivery is not an option unless you use some third-party like door dash or Uber eats. But, this place is in the center of town, so the drive there is quick and easy. To conclude, I love this place; and I plan on continuing to be a customer until the day I ever leave this town. Until that day, I will continue to buy food from here. The food is very good, and the service is great. I highly recommend this place to any residents of Woodbury looking for some great Chinese takeout!
I go here almost atleast once a week to have such a great chinese restraunt in a small town like woodbury is a luxury great people, great food, I've been coming to this local spot for the better part of a decade i highly recommend if you have never ordered food from here to try it out and stop by you won't be disappointed
