I ordered tofu and a vegetarian spring roll. THIS IS SHRIMP. In the middle of the VEGGY spring roll. Not to mention, they’re yelling at each other the whole time and it’s not peaceful at all. They did give me a refund so I’m gonna give the service a three stars But do not go there if you have a shellfish allergy.

The first time I ordered from Peaceful Chinese restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised how great the food was! Everything was so flavorful and extremely well prepared. I loved it. I recommend that if you're looking for great Chinese food please give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

If I ever get food from here I always order orange chicken w/ white rice and a water most of the time and it’s really good . Never under or over cooked . Made just right and the rice taste fresh . :) wish they had delivery though

Best takeout in CT ! Super fast and nice service. Everything from here is delicious. The lunch special comes with an egg roll + drink at an affordable price.You must try the General tso, Spared Ribs, House special fried rice,Chicken Wings, Lo Mein, Teriyaki Sticks, & the Beef & Cheese Eggrolls !

I was so waiting for this. Unfortunately it wasn’t the best nor what I expected🥲 Let me start by saying that the idea is there. Like the meat, the rice and the french fries are there BUT the Puerto Rican Chinese presentation style was not good. Not enough food and it was messy when we opened our orders. I had a Orange Chicken combination which the chicken itself was hard, the breaded part was soggy and I couldn’t finish it because it was salty. It didn’t taste like orange chicken at all. It was more like soy sauce😭 French fries were soggy but they had a good taste. I also tasted the tostones al ajillo and those were🔥 Wish they had a little more garlic🤤👌🏽 My daughter had the General Tso Beef combination. She’s the Chinese food taste tester in our home and she said it was ok🤷🏽‍♀️ but salty and very chewy. My husband had the roast pork(boneless ribs) combination. The roast pork was the best out of everything we ordered. The meat was tender, juicy and sweet. They have potential and I REALLY hope they can get through it but for me it’s sad because the first impression is VERY important when you begin something so huge such as a restaurant. Also if you’re having customers spending money it’s only fair that the presentation is immaculate. You want these customers to come for more and not be disappointed. I hope this was just a crazy, tiring, bad and busy day and not an everyday downfall.

This review is long overdue. This is my family’s go-to Chinese take out spot. The staff is so friendly and the food is top tier. We’ve ordered pretty regularly this last year and have never been disappointed. Suggestions: crab rangoons, house lo mein, house fried rice & orange chicken.

We ordered general tsos tofu which is not on the menu but they happily made it for us and it was 10/10! So glad we found this place and can’t wait to try more tofu dishes here.

Typical looking Chinese food spot. Quick food, quick service. Good pricing for Mystic. My food was great, hot and fresh. My General Tsos chicken was tender and crisp. Fried rice was tasty, has flavor. :) wonton soup, temperature hot, tasteful, wontons flavorful.

Delicious chicken with broccoli and egg roll lunch special! If you dine in like I did just make sure to let it cool down because it was super hot right off the wok. It's just a short walk or drive from the Mystic Seaport Museum.

Very good, the chicken and broccoli is scrumptious. The wonton soup wasn’t my fav but that’s just my opinion. They are very kind every time!

First time trying this place. I was not impressed. Parking is terrible. There is no dine in option because there's no room. Food was mediocre 😕 we bought *Pork lo mein, very salty. *Pork fried rice, bland, no peas, no carrots, no scrambled egg, just rice, sprouts, and pork and a weird texture. *Boneless ribs, meaty, not overdone but really no flavor. Teriyaki chicken, which wasn't terrible, and *fried dumplings, which were really small compared to other restaurants, they were tasty, and the dumpling sauce was super sweet, tasty though. Unfortunately I have to update this review Because I Initially wrote my last review under the impression that it was still being run by the old owners. Although the new owners are very nice unfortunately the food is not that good at all! I ordered the house fried rice and I basically just got rice with a few1 pieces of meat. The food was Bland and just lacking in originality or any sort of authenticity! I will never eat there again. Save your time and money and go somewhere else

Lifelong Chinese food lovers rating here I've lived in Connecticut my entire life and have eaten at countless Chinese takeouts,buffets,eat in spots etc. Up until about 2021 in March I moved out to the Midwest and have Heavily missed Connecticut Chinese food, tonight me and my GF and son went out to this place to pick up our dinner that we ordered which goes as follows ( sweet and sour chicken, " dragon meets phoenix " as I call it, fried dumplings, egg drop soup and an order of crab rangoons ) it's been a LONG time since I've had " Americanized Chinese food " cooked so well!!! Every single item was amazing in it's own way and had me on my heels with every bite ! Not only was the meal amazing but every single item tasted perfect! The general tsaos chicken was a star! As were the shrimp which were perfectly spiced (: the fried rice that was alongside the sweet and sour chicken was delicious!! Going back to the Midwest will have me missing this place big time !! this place didn't disappoint in the slightest and our entire order came out to around $41 ! Not to mention we got an egg roll, fried crackers which I assume we're like a fried egg noodle, I love those !! The egg drop soup was perfect! Absolutely a place you've gotta try out !!

Classic 15 minute joint the faded pictures on the wall says it all. My girl says its the third best orange chicken shes ever had. If your hungover this is the Chinese food for you, get the wings. Its the greasy spoon you keep going back to.

I've lived in various parts of CT and this by far is one of the best I've ever had. I loved the bag they provide with your food and in addition very kind and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised to find 2 crab ragoons complimentary which were amazing and had Me questioning if I should go back to order to go lol. I'm about 15 minutes min away in Norwich and I will now only order from Meis. I'm so happy I found you.

We always get the lunch and dinner specials because they’re so reasonably priced and large portioned - we love it so much we can barely stop eating to save leftovers. Their attitude is always so positive - we ❤️ mei and her awesome staff!

We ordered chicken with broccoli, a pork eggroll, chicken teriyaki , and chicken fried rice. Great prices, food was very fresh! Next time we are in the area we will order again. The chicken was fresh, the broccoli was fresh, the chicken fried rice was delicious clean taste (hard to describe) I loved their chicken fried rice , I loved their eggroll but it was tiny :)

Service is great, very fast and accurate. The food is hit or miss. Some days it's great some days I want my money back. They do not have duck sauce, just the fake sweet and sour.

Every dish I ordered that had meat had a bread batter. Not a problem but there was three times the bread batter than there was meat and the meat type was questionable at best. It is obvious all prepackaged. Personally the three meals I have tried so far were terrible. The staff were great and very nice but the food or I should say main dishes were not great. White rice is white rice how can you screw that up and it was fine just to be clear. After three times I am done.

Been going here since it opened and I will say that the quality of food to service has fallen greatly. Items missing on delivery to long delivery times and the whole Uber shitshow …. I think they hawk the good tipped deliveries for themselves and pass the low tippped orders to Uber. The whole delivery status that Uber uses is a complete cluster when it come to times. I’m going to be looking for another place that either house delivers or uses Uber the correct way. New management? Bad management? Because I know the owner would not tolerate it.

This was my first time ordering from China Moon and will be my last! I ordered 2 dinner specials, the food was very bland. The teriyaki beef was just beef on a stick with no teriyaki whatsoever, the pork fried rice was just pork and rice, there was no onions or anything else with it, the crab Rangoon had just about no crab only cream cheese and was very tough.. very disappointing. I was also told it would be 30 minutes and it took a little over an hour. I asked for extra duck sauce and was transferred to the manager .. but they never gave extra.
