It was a good experience the place is absolutely beautiful. The server took a long time to get to our table, bring drinks, and explain how the menu worked. Besides that I enjoyed the food so delicious the atmosphere was a vibe and the hibatchi crew did their thang... it was very pricey, but you get a bang for your buck unlimited appetizers n habatchi. I will definitely go back hopefully I get a better server.

Good atmosphere for a crowded spot but when you sit down there's plenty color to please the eye, somewhat quick service since there's a lot of orders coming in, can you really rate the food here if you're the one making the combinations of ingredients? The ingredients are of somewhat good quality and all the menu based items have a fresh taste and are made to order so no complaints about old food. I definitely recommend trying a little bit of everything to get that money's worth feeling but 4 bowls in and bottomless appetizers and sushi it's not hard to feel like it's money well spent. Definitely will be back to maximize my dollar and expand my flavor profile through trial and error!!

Love this spot! Have been a loyal customer for years. Clean , friendly environment. Timely take out. Choices of amazing local sodas/beers. Nothing like a well run local spot like this, with quality food to back it up! Hey, nice work over there!

Super sweet service! Amazing food! All the extra seasoning you could want! Great prices! Perfect pizzeria vibes! Ricotta pizza is super unique and delicious đź’•

Went there for lunch and dinner because we were in the area both times. Such a good place. Passed it so many times the past 9 years, wish I had stopped. Burritos are huge, tacos are tasty and the empanadas are incredible. Definitely a must try if your in the area.

My experience here was not the greatest and it is sad because the food was so good. (One of the best tacos ive had) The customer service in the other hand was HORRIBLE. When you first walk in nobody greets you, they dont ask if you need anything, sit etc. The girl at the front desk is NOT a people person and honestly that could hurt a business immensely. I would never dine in again because it is soooo cold and you can tell they dont care about their customers. Hopefully they can change that and im sure their business will thrive.

This is a high-end dining experience. The steaks cost between $60 and $100 each (though there is a 40 oz tomahawk that costs $150). You really get what you pay for though, the steaks are incredible. The steaks come "a la carte", which means nothing comes with them so you have to order sides separately. Which is a bit of a bummer considering how expensive the steaks are. The sides are expensive too, they're quite large but I wasn't wowed by them. My pictures aren't great, trust me you won't be disappointed by the quality of the steaks.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Connecticut. I’ve been trying to go here for at least 10 years and finally made it happen. If it’s your first time, I highly suggest doing the prix fixe menu. It’ll save you a few bucks and you’ll get to try a couple of different things. The steaks are cooked Peter Luger style: just salt and pepper on the steak, cooked, then put in a blazing hot broiler with clarified butter poured over the top. I upgraded my prix fixe steak to the boneless ribeye and was not disappointed. Sprinkled just a little salt on it and after a few cuts, all the flavors melded together and it was heavenly. The creamed spinach was sole of the best creamed spinach I’ve ever had and I don’t know if anything goes better with a steak in my opinion. For the starter, I got a seafood gumbo which was bigger than I thought it would be and pretty damn close to some of the ones I had in New Orleans. My gf got the filet prix fixe with a Caesar salad starter. I will say that the Caesar salad was the only thing I “didn’t like” but I didn’t like it because she had gotten anchovies on it. Do yourself a favor and if you do get the prix fixe, spend the extra $4 to upgrade your dessert from a small little piece of cheesecake to anything else. I got the bread pudding and it blew me away. It was almost like a Rice Krispies treats bread pudding. Absolutely astounding. I can’t wait til I go back.

Ming Palace

NOT GOOD. We have been going to this place for over 15 years and never had an issue until we ordered takeout this evening. The General Tsao’s chicken is hard, over breaded, and basically empty. It made me feel sick shortly after attempting to eat about a 1/3 of my food. Rice was bland and the crab rangoon not even stuffed just hard pieces. I don’t know what happened to this place. We used to eat lunch here 1x a week. Too expensive to get not good food.

Every time I have visited Ming Palace I have enjoyed the food and the service. Yesterday we needed some comfort food due to bad news and this place fit the bill with the family style dining and the complimentary tea that they serve. The servings are huge, delicious, and fresh. Yesterday we ordered all new dishes to try and the Roast Pork and shrimp dumpling soup stole the show for all of us. The shrimp dumplings were fantastic. For an entree I ordered the roast duck which was perfect, mom had the General Tso, and my daughter tried the Shrimp with Black Bean sauce. They are very reasonably priced and there is plenty of parking.

I had chicken with broccoli and garlic sauce. I added four jumbo shrimp for $1.00 each. Service was very good. Food was really good too. Only downside was the mopping going on while I was eating so it kind of smelt like disinfectant in there.

I never leave reviews anywhere, but this one deserves one. The food was horrible and the service I received from the person at the register. She gave me an attitude as soon as I walked in, but I let it go, then she didn’t even say hi or anything she just gave me the food and charged me. I asked he for sauce because she didn’t offer and she slammed it on the counter when I asked for an additional one she did the same thing. The rice had no flavor at all and did not have any veggies in it just onions. It felt like I was eating mushy rice with no flavor. I will never go there again. The Ming Moon in Wethersfield has excellent customer service and the food is always great. I ordered from the Newington one because I work in Newington, but never again.

PHO VIET VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT & OH! BUBBLE TEA

We got the Gỏi Cuốn and Bò Lụi as our appetizers which were really goôd! We also got Phở Gầu and Phở Việt’s Satế for our main dishes. The phở was really good but if you have the cilantro soap gene you may want to ask for it without cilantro, my boyfriend has it and he said it was kinda hard to work around since it soaked into the broth. The mango bubble tea was okay a little soapy tasting but the strawberry smoothie was really good. The workers were really nice and it was overall a nice restaurant!!

My fiancé and I visited Pho Viet in Newington for dinner, which was the first Vietnamese meal we had eaten in a while. The whole menu looked great and had a bunch of authentic options. For appetizers, we were really impressed by the flavorful chicken teriyaki skewers, and the fresh garden rolls were great too. We were very happy with our pho and rice noodles with grilled beef. Every dish used really fresh ingredients, and we noticed that the prices were very reasonable too. It was nice that they had bubble tea and smoothies available to have with our meal as well! We would definitely come back for their authentic food, quick service, and bright & inviting dining space!

Xian Noodle Factory

I had tried hand pulled noodles in New York for the first time. I liked them so much that I was eager to try a place here in Connecticut. I found this place and just wanted to try. Unfortunately I have to say, if you want good hand pulled noodles, stick with going to New York. I tried the chicken noodle and I was not impressed. The noodles were gummy and stuck together. The chicken pieces were flavored well, but the broth it was in was sour for some reason, and the broccoli looked like they were microwaved. The chicken dumplings were not great (I think they microwaved the food in the back) very gummy, and the crispy burger was okay. Would I go back for noodles? Definitely no. I think that if they just made the crispy beef burgers, there would be more people there. I hope that they can improve on their recipe. Inside was a bit messy, but I think because the chef was there by themselves. I hope things get better for them, CT needs more noodle places. This was just not it.
