The Pho Bar 0

The Pho Bar

Was craving pho so stopped by here. The broth and noodles were excellent! One of the better pho places I have been to! Also loved their fresh shrimp rolls. All the food was stellar. They close at 745p and I arrived 30 min early but they were already closing up. Would recommend this place for lunch and maybe a very early dinner (or just take out)

Get ready to have an incredible meal with incredible service. The Pho Bar is hands down one of the best places to eat in CT. Easy to read menu, delicious flavors and great music and atmosphere. If it's your first pho experience ask questions!

It was a good experience the place is absolutely beautiful. The server took a long time to get to our table, bring drinks, and explain how the menu worked. Besides that I enjoyed the food so delicious the atmosphere was a vibe and the hibatchi crew did their thang... it was very pricey, but you get a bang for your buck unlimited appetizers n habatchi. I will definitely go back hopefully I get a better server.

Good atmosphere for a crowded spot but when you sit down there's plenty color to please the eye, somewhat quick service since there's a lot of orders coming in, can you really rate the food here if you're the one making the combinations of ingredients? The ingredients are of somewhat good quality and all the menu based items have a fresh taste and are made to order so no complaints about old food. I definitely recommend trying a little bit of everything to get that money's worth feeling but 4 bowls in and bottomless appetizers and sushi it's not hard to feel like it's money well spent. Definitely will be back to maximize my dollar and expand my flavor profile through trial and error!!

Was visiting from out of town and craving a lobster roll, we found Blue Lobster. Their CT lobster roll absolutely hit the spot! The lobster meat was sweet and tender, piled high on a perfectly buttered and toasted roll. It came with crispy fries and a tangy coleslaw that were both delicious. My mom loved her creamy lobster bisque, which was packed with chunks of lobster, and her Maryland crab cake. The restaurant has a casual, beachy vibe and the service was friendly. I highly recommend Blue Lobster for anyone looking for delicious, fresh seafood in Berlin, CT.

Very good food and the owners are very nice and friendly. It’s a family owned restaurant and I would recommend coming here.

This is a high-end dining experience. The steaks cost between $60 and $100 each (though there is a 40 oz tomahawk that costs $150). You really get what you pay for though, the steaks are incredible. The steaks come "a la carte", which means nothing comes with them so you have to order sides separately. Which is a bit of a bummer considering how expensive the steaks are. The sides are expensive too, they're quite large but I wasn't wowed by them. My pictures aren't great, trust me you won't be disappointed by the quality of the steaks.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Connecticut. I’ve been trying to go here for at least 10 years and finally made it happen. If it’s your first time, I highly suggest doing the prix fixe menu. It’ll save you a few bucks and you’ll get to try a couple of different things. The steaks are cooked Peter Luger style: just salt and pepper on the steak, cooked, then put in a blazing hot broiler with clarified butter poured over the top. I upgraded my prix fixe steak to the boneless ribeye and was not disappointed. Sprinkled just a little salt on it and after a few cuts, all the flavors melded together and it was heavenly. The creamed spinach was sole of the best creamed spinach I’ve ever had and I don’t know if anything goes better with a steak in my opinion. For the starter, I got a seafood gumbo which was bigger than I thought it would be and pretty damn close to some of the ones I had in New Orleans. My gf got the filet prix fixe with a Caesar salad starter. I will say that the Caesar salad was the only thing I “didn’t like” but I didn’t like it because she had gotten anchovies on it. Do yourself a favor and if you do get the prix fixe, spend the extra $4 to upgrade your dessert from a small little piece of cheesecake to anything else. I got the bread pudding and it blew me away. It was almost like a Rice Krispies treats bread pudding. Absolutely astounding. I can’t wait til I go back.

Ming Palace

NOT GOOD. We have been going to this place for over 15 years and never had an issue until we ordered takeout this evening. The General Tsao’s chicken is hard, over breaded, and basically empty. It made me feel sick shortly after attempting to eat about a 1/3 of my food. Rice was bland and the crab rangoon not even stuffed just hard pieces. I don’t know what happened to this place. We used to eat lunch here 1x a week. Too expensive to get not good food.

Every time I have visited Ming Palace I have enjoyed the food and the service. Yesterday we needed some comfort food due to bad news and this place fit the bill with the family style dining and the complimentary tea that they serve. The servings are huge, delicious, and fresh. Yesterday we ordered all new dishes to try and the Roast Pork and shrimp dumpling soup stole the show for all of us. The shrimp dumplings were fantastic. For an entree I ordered the roast duck which was perfect, mom had the General Tso, and my daughter tried the Shrimp with Black Bean sauce. They are very reasonably priced and there is plenty of parking.

The food isn't the greatest unfortunately. Crab Rangoon isn't flavorful the sweet and sour sauce taste weird and the garlic beef flavor is horrendous waste of my money. Never going back.

At first, I was confused about whether to eat or not on the Ming Moon. I started with the dumplings. I still remember the taste of the dumplings. My kids were happy. I recommend Ming Moon. Appreciate their work!!

Imperial Buffet

Horrible food, almost threw up ngl. Also service was not good and there was a dead fish in thier little pond. Friend almost threw up as well. DO NOT GET THE MAC AND CHEESE. Someone threw up in the bathroom and the stalls were nasty. Food inspection needed. Please call food inspection moldy chicken and sushi is horrific. Buffet is not worth it if you want your food to come right back out. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I don’t know what all the bad reviews are about..especially when looking at some of them when 3 of them are from way out of state and the only review for a CT place, is here…so being a foody, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, plus I had things to do in Berlin..so figured to go check this place out firsthand. Food…lots of chicken and then some other stuff. The Korean Chicken was delicious..the Italian chicken was a bit on the dry side..but it wasn’t so dry that it couldn’t be eaten. The pepper steak however…was cold. The rice was on the dry side..and the lo mein..that’s where the star disappeared..wasn’t edible. I mentioned it to the girl, she brought out the cook and manager and it was because the burner or warmer underneath wasn’t on. Simple mistake..it happens. There were no signs of food being in plastic as others have mentioned..there were no signs of food being recooked as you see in other restaurants. Parking…it’s in the corner of a strip mall, so there was plenty of parking. Busy? I went around 12:30 and there were prolly around 15-20 other people in the buffet; families, and casual diners. I don’t go out dinner…just because by that time, I’ve already ate at 4 places and generally stuffed. Price…this was the one that got me. People talking about how they charge and watch you eat. Lunch was 13.99 (as advertised on the door) and soda was 3.00 with free refills. They don’t give you the mug (think the size of a 28 oz soda)..instead it comes in a smaller cup (think the size of a 12 oz cup) so for lunch, after tip..it came to $21. For buffets, that’s about the normal. Would I go back again? IF I’m back out that way in Berlin again…sure, I’d make it a return visit. Overall on the 5* system, I’d give them a 3.9. They don’t hover around you as others have suggested, but they are attentive, meaning..if you need something, they’ll get it to you quick. They don’t rush you out as others have said..but again, I can’t speak on dinner service because I went for lunch.
