Somewhere In Bangkok

Every time I order carryout, it's a complete disappointment. Never have I ever been given soup in the same container as the noodles. Typically, noodles and garnishment are in 1 container, and the soup is by itself, so it travels well. I really wished they would do better on carryout. I'd hate to stop coming here, but this soup missed the mark. Flavor is almost non-existent. Tom Yam is supposed to have a kick and a flavor explosion. It's definitely not the same as it used to be. Not worth $15.95.

All food we ordered through takeout was great! The chicken in the chicken and wonton soup as well as the crab bags were peppery, but we liked the flavor it brought. Shrimp rolls were very crisp and large! The restaurant looked clean and comfortable!

Shu Restaurant

Delicious Sichuan flavors. Some strong peanut flavor on the cold noodles.

My partner and I were traveling, we took a 30+ hour flight with connections back to Hartford. Eating at Shu after 30 hours of jet lag and airline food literally saved my life 🄲 I recommend first timers start with the lunch specials at the last page of the menu, even the complimentary soup that comes with the lunch special makes me wanna cry

Ming Moon

43reviews

The food isn't the greatest unfortunately. Crab Rangoon isn't flavorful the sweet and sour sauce taste weird and the garlic beef flavor is horrendous waste of my money. Never going back.

At first, I was confused about whether to eat or not on the Ming Moon. I started with the dumplings. I still remember the taste of the dumplings. My kids were happy. I recommend Ming Moon. Appreciate their work!!

Mae Kong Thai Restaurant

The place is small but nice, the food is good and the service is good. Thai pai 51 enough for 2 people. Crispy chicken 71 good but a little too fried. The 2 time we came I ordered yellow curry and I loved it, really good. The 3 time I came there I tried tofu soup and I think the number 70 ram pram something like that I don’t remember the name it was with peanut butter sauce and my husband tried red curry and it was good

Service with a wonderful smile and it only got better. Huge selection of appetizers and main dishes along with a nice selection of desserts. Our waitress was very attentive and always smiling. The dishes we had were made with fresh meats or seafood and vegetables and the sauces were full of flavor. Their menu is available on their website so check it out. We're fairly new to the area so thanks to Groupon we found this place and we're glad that we did as we will certainly be back.

Seven Moons Thai cuisine

Chicken satay with cucumber sauce is amazing. Their Yellow Curry Chicken with Jasmine rice outstanding. But their wait staff isn't the greatest they need to stay off their phone and pay attention to the customers, also very under staffed. Also the place was completely empty and it took almost 30 minutes for the Chicken satay which is 3 boneless chicken pieces on a skewer, Almost a hour wait for food.

Fantastic Thai spot in Berlin! We stopped by tonight and we had chicken satay, duck, and grilled shrimp with stir fried vegetables. Really fresh and delightful food, kind service, and a clean and quiet place. The peanut sauce was excellent, and the shrimp were so good!! šŸ¤

Great Wall Chinese Restaurant

This place was a no for me! The woman in the front was very nice and welcoming but the food just did not deliver for me. I ordered the lunch chicken lo mein and the Kung Pao chicken lunch they both brought eggs rolls as well for $21 no drinks seemed a little pricey for lunch prices if you ask me. The Kung Pao lacked flavor and was very thick, the egg roll was good and the lo mein was decent but I’ve had better. I won’t be coming back.

Decent Food, Skip the Dine-In Experience Great Wall Chinese Restaurant offers decent food. I've certainly had worse Chinese takeout. However, the atmosphere is more suited for quick takeout than a leisurely dining experience. The restaurant itself feels more like a pickup spot than a place to linger. Key Takeaways: * Food Quality: Decent overall, but not exceptional. * Atmosphere: Rushed and not conducive to a pleasant dining experience. * Recommendation: Best for takeout. I hope this review is helpful!

Butterfly Chinese Restaurant

I got general tso chicken with the house fried rice and my husband got fried chicken with pork fried rice and two egg rolls. They even added some sort of chips and dipping sauce. The food was hot and it was ready quickly. I definitely recommend this place the food was amazing!

I come to butterfly for the phenomenal karaoke. Thursday thru Saturday night. It’s a small space, quaint, but especially Saturday it gets wild. There are amazing singers and the crowd is there for music and to support their fellow ā€œmusiciansā€ šŸ™ƒšŸ™‚. I come for the music. I enjoy the people watching and fun interactions, the service and the bartenders are good. There’s plenty of parking. The food is good too. I’ve heard this place has been around forever. Highly recommended.

Wang's Kitchen

I have been going to Wangs since I was a teenager so it’s been years! After Covid the food quality went downhill so I stopped going. But I recently decided to give them another chance and they won me over again. I hope they stay consistent!

Tasty and quick! Got the chicken fried rice/jumbo shrimp combo and the teriyaki beef. All was delicious šŸ‘Œ

NUMMY

462reviews

Small restaurant but delicious noodles served in a Szechuan flavored broth. Yummy veggies and also tried the peanut noodles which had a thick and creamy peanut flavor. Got the nummy noodles but substituted the pork with dried tofu, which I loved! Very nice service and cute place, will come back!

Yummy soup dumplings, gyoza and the mummy soup was delicious too. Also the lychee drink is delicious too! Would come again

Friendly's

Talk about old school living in reminiscence but with a current lineup..I haven’t had Friendly’s in yeeears. I was nearby and saw the restaurant and said yippie, let’s see if they’re open. I had Alexa as my waitress..couldn’t decide what I wanted but had it narrowed down to a choice of 2; the Philly Melt or the Cool Ranch Chopped Burger. Told her that I wanted her to pick and don’t tell me what it was..just bring it out and that’ll be lunch. She did and she chose the Cool Ranch Chopped Burger..o..m..g..cooked perfectly, seasoned great and just enough cheese, jalapeƱos and chips to make it a full meal for the burger by itself..not counting the fries that came with it **fries were on the cold side, but it’s not their fault** You get the free happy ending sundae, so I got it with mint chocolate chip..a childhood favorite of mine. Overall…I will gladly make this a weekly trip here..definitely a 9.7/10..bathrooms were clean. I said about the fries being cold…it feels about 40° in here but factor in that it’s 100° outside…again, not their fault.

Friendly is very different now. No good fries no great food everything is made quickly so nothing tastes right. I hate how I am treated here they don't care about you as a customer it's very much like robotic. Make food from frozen and make sure it is done professionally we won't be coming back. Everything has changed so much. Love the ice cream. We will go back for that but I even watched the chef eat right while making plates here and I complained to the manager and nothing was said in front of me anyway.

Chinese Kitchen

First of all, if I order delivery and pay for it, it’s for a reason. I have a special needs adult and cannot step out at times. I placed an order for chicken teriyaki. Not asking for much. I called because the chicken was burnt and the rice was uncooked. No flavor whatsoever. I call back and the guy I talk to says, if you want a new order you have to pick it up. I tell him my situation. After debating back and forth with him, to bring me another order. He says: I hope you tipped the driver good, because now I have to send him back. Tipped him $5 btw What kinda customer service is this!! I called back and told him I did not want the order. That I was not gonna ever order from here again. If you show no compassion from my situation, then you do not deserve my money or time.

I've ordered from Chinese Kitchen New Britain around less than 10 times now. Each time, their prices end up changing despite me ordering for the same stuff. I get Singapore MiFeng, Sesame Chicken Combo with Fried dumplings. Usually, all of that comes around $20+. But just recently, I ended up paying $40 bucks for the same stuff minus the dumplings and gave the driver a 10 dollar tip out of pressure from the lady on the phone. Shes also stated that if the Singapore MiFeng is separated, its $18+. same goes if you were to get the Sesame chicken combo separate, its yhe same price, and they dont take orders under $20 bucks? So if thats how you act realistically, you lose money and a customer. Thats the behavior you'll be met with if thats how you'll act towards your customers. Business is Business, this I understand. But to haggle your regulars for tips is a step closer to losing regulars. Safe to say their prices randomly increase and decrease based on who's in the kitchen and who picks up the phone. Most of the time I'll get a man who's sometimes short tempered and very little patience I have picked up from him. I wouldn't recommend trying this place out yet or at all for that matter unless moral improves in the workplace and for how they engage with customers over the phone. 2/5 stars.

Jin Yung's House

The worst Chinese restaurant in New Britain Just moved here and ordered twice from here. The 1st was the wrong order. They gave me some small fried dumpling things saying it's sweet and sour chicken. When I ordered Garlic Chicken and pork fried rice. This time I had to take a stand. This is supposed to be Garlic Chicken and fried rice. Chinese are famous for garnishing their food and look at this for $12.00 and the taste is barely palatable. Once bitten twice shy. They won't catch me again.

The oil he uses to fry things smells and taste funny. Don't order food from here. It's empty for a reason
