Hunan Wok III
Usually get great taste, but they were closed Monday, decided to try Hunan Wok III as it was down the road and was not disappointed. The Lunch Garlic chicken was very similar to great taste.
At first it looks a bit inconspicuous. But the food I picked up was good quality and really tasty. Fair prices! Can recommend.
Happy Garden
I order the sea food lo mien the only seafood in there was shrimp and imitation crab meat!!! That’s all!! The noodles was dry as hell!! For $12.50 not worth it. Don’t buy the seafood low mien. Wonton was saggy. I called and she told me they use REAL CRAB!! That thing next to the small shrimp looks like a tiny tiny lobster which was the only one in there.
Beware: We were charged a seperate charge for no reason. We spent over $60 on an order yesterday. Today my daughter noticed her account was charged a separate $28 fee for the same date from the same restaurant for no reason at all. Keep an eye on your accounts. We waited over an hour for a call back from the "manager" but we will dispute the charges if necessary. This restaurant has lost our business for good.
Wa Wah Kitchen
This restaurant has great service. The people are very friendly. The food is very fresh and the quantity is very large. It is worth recommending
Great food, good portions, sugar donuts were awesome aswell everything was hot freshly cooked and delivery driver was great too!
Imperial Wok Chinese Restaurant
Posting this without finishing my food. Flavor was great, I ordered the shrimp and scallops. Great price, great flavor...but....found a piece of plastic and pulled a long hair out my mouth from one of my bites. That was gross. I get that you cook a lot and cook fast, but some more care in handling food and hygienic practice counts as well. Hair nets and lord only knows what package that plastic came from, but it certainly shouldn't be an ingredient. Grossed out, won't be ordering from there again.
HANDS DOWN!!!! The best Chinese food in the area, even surrounding areas in my opinion. As a New Britain native, this place has always been the place to order from. Hardy portions, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I can understand the people’s concerns with pricing but with inflation and how the economy is doing right now, I think they are still providing great food within reason. I’ve moved out of New Britain and I have to say this is STILL my favorite spot to order from. Give them a try I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Great Star Chinese Restaurant
Uneatable Tastes nothing like homemade but previously frozen cheap food. 90% of each dish consisted of a dreadful dough with small chunks of "meat" inside. The best of all were free fortune cookies...
Always a hit or miss for Chinese food in New Britain. Wow I’m so glad I settled on this place. The food not only looks amazing but it’s delicious. Thank you Great Star Chinese for Making my Sunday. I ordered bonesless spare ribs, vegetable fried rice and chicken Lo mein😍
East Tokyo Restaurant
I have never dined in, always have done takeout and typically sushi roll or the walnut shrimp. Which is usually great. I think they focus on quality, but we tried their hibachi tonight and that is a miss. We had their salmon hibachi and it isn’t anything like the typical hibachi (soak on top of a bed of veggies) and no noodles included. On top of that my wife almost swallowed a bone that was still in the salmon! A cardinal sin for any restaurant. I think we will stick with Fancy Sushi regarding hibachi going forward, probably sushi too. Update: Pregnant wife got food poisoning from the Salmon Hibachi dish, we will not be back.
Great place, reasonable price with A quality of food. They even do hand rolls, huge bento box too. Supper recommendation!!!!
P.F. Chang's
We recently dined at PFchang and I must say, the experience was exceptional. i would like to site an incident where my 3-year-old son accidentally broke a glass. As a parent, I was initially embarrassed and concerned about how the staff would react. However, their response was nothing short of amazing. The management and staff were incredibly kind and understanding. They quickly reassured us that accidents happen, cleaned up the mess promptly, and even made sure my son felt comfortable and safe throughout. Their professionalism and warm attitude turned what could have been an awkward moment into a reminder of how much they care about their guests. The food and ambiance were fantastic, but the way the staff handled this situation truly set them apart. It’s rare to find such compassionate and thoughtful service these days. I wholeheartedly recommend to visit this place and would give them 5 stars for their excellent service and hospitality. We will definitely be returning soon! Thank you for making our experience so memorable.
On a recent weekday evening, we visited this restaurant for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were seated, despite arriving during what is typically a busy time. The atmosphere was relaxed, with a decent crowd for a casual dining experience. Our server, Tim, truly enhanced the experience. He was both personable and knowledgeable, offering helpful recommendations when asked. We opted for the Vegetable Spring Rolls, Chang’s Spicy Chicken, and Vegetable Fried Rice, paired with a Rising Dragon Cocktail—a margarita featuring tequila, pomegranate, lime, agave, and a touch of black lava salt. The cocktail was perfectly balanced and really well made. The food arrived promptly, and the portion sizes were generous. The Vegetable Spring Rolls were crispy and flavorful. The Chang’s Spicy Chicken—while delicious—was a bit sweeter than expected, lacking the "spicy" kick. However, Tim quickly remedied this by bringing us some chili oil and hot sauce, which added the perfect heat. The Vegetable Fried Rice was tasty but leaned slightly on the bland side; a bit more spice or seasoning could have elevated the dish. We finished the meal with a Chocolate Soufflé for dessert, which was a decadent and rich ending to the evening. Overall, the combination of delicious food, a laid-back ambience, and stellar service from Tim made this visit thoroughly enjoyable.
Chef Jiang
Honestly one of the best Chinese restaurants I have tried in Connecticut. The employees I have encountered with have all been so kind and friendly. Found this place because I was looking for chicken dumplings. This place does not disappoint they are amazing. I tried the soup dumplings and they were good. But the fried chicken dumplings were amazing. They were so good I went back twice in one day just to get another order. Would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good place to eat. The food taste so fresh, and the service is so quick. I’d make the drive to this place any day for their dumplings!
I went for dinner on a Sunday, and this place was packed. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was excellent. The spicy shrimp and the roast duck were amazing, the steam and fried dumplings were good, and I'm definitely going back to try other items on the menu. I think they have wine and some beers, I don't think they had cocktails.
Chinatown Express Kitchen
Food was decent not the best I’ve had. Food portions are definitely huge and the staff is so nice and happy! They need some updating There was almost a fire that started from one of their items I believe it was a fan or something I can’t remember but there was sparks and smoke that’s dangerous since there was kids everywhere!
The food here is absolutely incredible! I travel all the way from Springfield, Massachusetts, just to eat at this restaurant—it's worth every mile. The flavors are top-notch, and the aroma of the dishes is simply amazing. The portion sizes are generous, making it an even better value. On top of that, the customer service is always warm and welcoming, making the entire experience feel like a special treat every time. Highly recommend!"
Lotus Garden Restaurant
Great Chinese food. But the best thing about this gem is the service of the owner. She is such a great host and just just can help to fall in love with her. She treats everyone like family. And the food is fantastic
i travel from waterbury for this food. the hot and sour soup is hands down the best in ct. there homestyle tofu is also delicious. try it all seriously a great place. very clean too
New Taste of China
The people who are there are very friendly and have no problem giving extra sauce. I like my order with extra sauce and they always give me what I ask for. Excellent service My favorite food every day
Decided to stop in and try for the first time and the food was actually delicious and did not taste old like other Chinese take out! The lady in the front is so sweet and welcoming truly made the experience even better she even gifted my daughter a little cake! I would definitely go back.
New Asia Chinese Restaurant
Take out Chinese place with a couple tables if you did want to eat in. I’ve been vegan for 10 years and this is the best vegan Chinese food I have ever had. Clearly marked vegan and vegetarian options. I got the spare rib, vegan 2 taste, and the vegan fried chicken. Excellent textures and flavor. You don’t find faux meat at many Chinese places so it’s much appreciated!
Very clean, quick, friendly, good food. Little area with dining tables
