Jason's House Chinese Restaurant
I ordered online for pick up since I’m just around the corner. When I walked in a lady was making the crab Rangoon from scratch which was very impressive. I assumed they were all pre-frozen. I ordered a lunch special and I like that you have other options available than just rice; for an up charge of course. I ordered chicken and broccoli, but instead of rice, I did beef lo mein. I also added on a wonton soup for $1. It’s your standard Americanized Chinese food. It was pretty good for the price. Sure there are other places to go, but the food was palatable and cheap so I’ll definitely be back. I’m going to try the pad Thai next!
The service was fast and friendly, the price is definitely right. Overall the food tasted pretty fresh, the vegetables were crisp and freshly-cooked, and not overdone like some places. Overall we are pleased with this place. The interior of the restaurant could use a little freshening, it was reasonably clean but it wasn't attractive in appearance. As somebody else stated, this is one of the less expensive places around if you're dining on a budget. I would have really liked to have given this four stars, but I think the interior needed to be a little bit cleaner for the dining in experience. This is irrelevant for those of you just getting take out.
Vinson Kitchen
Absolutely disgusting. Found a bug in my food. The food itself was terrible but this just made me so unbelievably livid. A safety inspection needs to be done ASAP
Take out only no dining in the inside is dirty my family and I actually got sick after eating here so we won’t be going back
Main-Wah Kitchen
Best dumplings in town! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, just the way I like them. They’re huge and full packed with filling, not to mention super fresh. You can tell they’re made with quality ingredients. I’ll be back for more!
The orange chicken here is outstanding! The portion was huge—definitely enough to satisfy a big appetite. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a sauce that was perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy. Every bite was packed with flavor. I highly recommend it for anyone craving a delicious, hearty meal!
Ruby Chinese Food
The food is always what we expect! As you can see my daughter didn’t leave anything behind when she orders shrimp fried rice with boneless spare ribs. We always order delivery the driver is phenomenal he’s usually here within 25 minutes. He also brings our dogs treats and they love him for that. Tip the driver he works hard and always goes above and beyond for us.
First and last time ordering here. $30 gives you much more food elsewhere, and better tasting. Their rice is undercooked, not to mention their large fried rice is a medium elsewhere. The boneless spare rib tips are chewy and taste mostly like cartilage, not to mention their small container doesn’t even get filled all the way. The mount of meat in the small container is the amount you’d get in a lunch combination plate. Their fried chicken wings have little flavor and aren’t equally proportional. 2 of my 4 wings were significantly undersized. They also chop the tips off the larger wings, and I enjoy my tips. That experience and extra meat was taken from me. I typically go to Yang Zi Jiang, and this is exactly why. Rather skip Chinese food altogether next time than to explore other options just because YZJ closes earlier.
Cheng's Gourmet Restaurant
I recently relocated to Suffield from Rhode Island and am an avid enthusiast of Chinese cuisine. After conducting extensive research on the local dining scene, I decided to visit this establishment despite initial reservations. To my surprise, the flavors were exceptional, the portions were generous, and the prices were remarkably affordable. This experience challenged my preconceived notions about the cost of quality Chinese food. I highly recommend trying their dishes.
It's decent. Food is average. There's better Chinese food, but not in Suffield. Service is hilariously unfriendly, but I don't think anyone orders takeout to make friends.
Main Kitchen Chinese Restaurant
I’ve stopped ordering from here. Not because of the food, which was good, but because of the delivery driver. I always add a tip while ordering, before the food’s even been delivered. But the new driver always would knock repeatedly at the door. As if he needed to use the bathroom or something. The 1st time he apologized and said he had many deliveries, the second time he apologized and said it was cold, the 3rd time (which I purposely didn’t pre-tip) when I opened the door I told him there was no need for him to knock on my door the way he did. That I heard him the 1st time and that there was no need to knock 9 more times on my way to the door. I told him no tip. I live in a 4 family house and the walls are thin. There’s no need for a delivery driver to knock repeatedly 9 times within a matter of 15 seconds. I’m just gonna go somewhere else for my Chinese food from now on.
Absolutely disgusted with the food! It was inedible and when I called to express they forgot an item and how disgusting the food was, I was told it’s because it’s a holiday and to try them another time. What type of answer is this when you are charging full price? They have permanently lost my business. I am shocked at the quality of food they put out tonight.
Cheng's Chinese Garden
This chinese place absolutely slaps. The waitress was a beast! My mother asked her multiple questions, and our waitress didn't even hesitate with a response. She was "locked in" as they say. I also absolutely loved the chinese wall. It was so cool and colorful. Now I kinda want one! I will definitely return.
Wanted something spicy and this was the only Asian food in a 2 mile radius. We were on a long drive and didn't want to go hunting for another restaurant. So Cheng's Chinese Garden it was. The menu had the usual American Chinese fare (General Tsos, Beef and Broccoli etc.) but there was a section that looked promising - the names of the dishes hinted at the more traditional Chinese dishes. We order egg drop soup and hot and sour soup to start. They didn't disappoint. The main course was a dry beans dish and a pork and cabbage "spicy" dish. The dry beans dish was just outstanding! Such a simple dish. Prepared with some pickles (not the ones you are thinking of) that added a bit of extra taste - made the dish worth recommending. Definitely try it. The pork dish was tasty but more sweet than spicy. Not overly sweet like sweet and sour dishes but unmistakably sweet. We asked for some chillies sauce on the side but that didn't help the dish much. It was not bad by any means. Just not the spicy we were craving. Service was fast and friendly. The soup came out non sooner than we finished ordering. The restaurant is clean and the decoration in unmistakably Chinese. If some one walked you in there with blindfolds on and you would know instantly what to expect when your blindfolds came off :-).
Peking Express Restaurant
The food is always great I like the crab Rangoon and their dumplings also I really enjoy the tea they have started adding to delivery orders
I usually order either the General Tao or Orange Chicken, along with a combo. Everything taste good and this place is always my first pick. No one has better rice or crab rangoon either. Plus there are other things like donuts, French fries, chicken nuggets!?
Great Wall Chinese Restaurant
Customer service was awful. Food was terrible. They gave 4 shavings of steak and charged 15 dollars for what looked like leftover noodles and rice when all I ordered was lo mein. Calling about it was met with a hysteric woman screaming at me. Go somewhere else for so many reason
I've been ordering from Great Wall for a long time, they're the best when it comes to taste and bang for your buck. They deliver pretty quickly, tho I am only 3 miles from them.
Zheng's Chinese Restaurant
One of the worst Chinese spots I've ever had. They're nothing like the ones back in New York. New York Chinese so fat, is exponentially better !! The general tso's chicken is too big to bite when hot and it's kinda mushy. It should be kinda crunchy !! The yellow rice I had looked off. I didn't like how it looked. Take my advice and down size your general tsos chicken, then make it crunchy !!
Really great food for a great price!!! Guy at the front is always polite and friendly with customers. He even brought the food out to the car for my grandmother. Food is really tasty and you get what you pay for.
Hong Kong House
Rice has no flavor and the dumplings are made in a different type of wrapping and it’s very off . Only nice thing is they deliver but the food isn’t worth it .
I loved them but I just found a very hard substance in my food was being nice even after I recognized it was a pebble or rock of some sort in my food. When I called the lady acted as if I was speaking clearly enough. I said when and what I ordered and told her exactly what I found. After that she was oblivious to everything I was saying. I have a family I can be feeding my people this food and they could have ate that swallowed it and got sick or kids I'm highly upset with them. I spent $34 to almost be potentially sick and eat a rock? To then explain myself to them tonfeel like I'm the crazy one? Okay
Double Dragon Chinese Restaurant
I've had many great Chinese food orders from different restaurants but double dragon is by far my favorite. The food is amazing, hearty portions and great customer service.
I recently tried their food and had a mixed experience. I ordered sesame chicken and egg foo young. The egg foo young was decent, but the sesame chicken tasted off, and the rice wasn’t great either. When I went to pick up my order, the guy seemed bothered when I asked for oil sauce, which cost a dollar each—definitely felt unnecessary. I tried to pay with my card for the sauce, but he insisted on cash. Didn’t have cash instead he gave me hot sauce packets and said “it’s all the same idk why everyone wants that, it’s all the same” When I realized my egg foo young combo didn’t include a drink—only an egg roll—I asked if it came with a drink. He smacked his lips and seemed annoyed, telling me it didn’t come with one. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Sun Sun Chinese offers better food and doesn’t charge for oil sauce.
