Housaku Asian Fusion
We ordered 3 sushi rolls. They were good. But eggrolls were burnt. And no longer free with order over certain amount. New main moon on route 25 is our go to for Chinese. Will order sushi from here but nothing else.
We ordered delivery through Seamless. My review actually changed as I thought more about it. It went from a 4 to a 5. The food was still hot long after it was delivered. I got a General Tso combination with Wonton Soup. At first I thought it was overpriced. The more I thought about it, it was a good deal because it included the soup. The pork fried rice was delicious. It had red onion and green peppers. No giant chunks of onions or bean sprouts. The General Tso was very good. Not very spicy, but lots of flavor. The chicken was cut into small fork size pieces which didn’t have to be cut. First time I’ve had it like that. I will definitely be ordering here again.
Moon Star Chinese Kitchen
Moon Star is by far the best Chinese takeout in the Brookfield/Danbury area. Please follow @fairfieldfooddude Immediately upon entering you will notice the typical faded backlit menu seen in so many New York spots we love and enjoy. As you walk by the fish tank you are greeted with some of the most friendly service you will ever get. All the food here is prepared fresh, never frozen, and always has the perfect crisp to juiciness ratio. Compared to other Chinese spots in the area this place is not only better service and better quality, but better prices as well. Our recent order was over ten items and it was still under 80 bucks. Unfortunately they do not deliver but are always open for takeout. Trust me. Moon Star is worth the trip!
My favorite takeout place in the area. Moved away to DC a few years ago and always request it when I'm back in town - there's nothing comparable where I live! Very friendly & helpful service, fair prices, clean kitchen. My personal recommendations are any of their chicken dishes (sesame & general tsaos are the best i think) and any of their fried rice options. their lo mein is also excellent, with a good ratio of noodle and meat; you get a free egg roll with every meal (which is fine, nothing special), and a donut (which i really enjoy). I also really appreciate the size of their portions - always leftovers for the next day with anything I order. moon star gets my highest recommendation for takeout in the danbury area.
Maggie McFly's® | Brookfield
Excellent presentation, freshness and portion but this Asian-influenced salad’s chicken kabobs were dry, a common kabobs problem. The menu offerings were unbelievably expansive and diverse. Service was thoughtful, respectful, responsive and quick—excellent! Patio was SO nice. Good prices…
We had a great time. Great service w Daniel 6ft5 and purple hair. The food was fast and 🔥... Delicious.. Great experience.
Tomo 202
We were excited to try Tomo 202 as we had heard good things. The restaurant itself is very nice and in a good location with ample parking. The food unfortunately was just average. We did not have any sushi so that might be better. But we did have tempura, hibachi fried rice, the drunken noodles, and pork soup dumplings (which i forgot to get a pic of). Everything was very simple flavor wise. They brought out the apps with the mains and forgot the soup dumplings. My biggest complaint however is the service. My mom has a serious mushroom allergy and we asked if the dumplings or gyoza had mushrooms. Our server said she would have to check and that the dumplings and gyoza are not made there that they just order them. She did not check but just told us they “probably don’t”. With a serious allergy “probably” is not good enough.
My wife and I came here on Christmas Eve. Staff was very attentive and friendly. We ended up sampling drinks and food. I would definitely recommend the Double Lobster roll and the hibachi.
Main Moon
Love the sweet and sour chicken 🍗 the large portion quart size has lots of nuggets in it. But the sweet and sour shrimp are pretty skimpy there is a large portion but mostly bread and batter egg rolls and spring rolls are all good and I got the ribs they were delicious and the prices are not too bad. The young fellow that works behind the counter could use a little attitude adjustment he's been grumpy every time he took my order he has never smiled one time when talking my order. A little kindness goes a long way young man.
It was my first time ordering here. The guy that answered the phone was really nice! We got boneless spare ribs, fried chicken wings, and rice. The food was great, and I especially LOVED the chicken! It was absolutely delicious. 100% ordering again!
Golden Leaf
Golden Leaf is located behind the pale yellow bar(?) that is closest to the road. Overall I thought the food was good. My dish wasn't exactly what I was expecting- I originally wanted bean curd but they didn't have any, so I got mixed vegetables in general tsos, however, they don't have that as an option so I received mixed vegs in their house brown sauce. And because they did not have bean curd, they doubled my order on the house, very nice of them!! My boyfriend liked his dish (sweet and sour chicken dinner combo), said it was pretty standard for chinese food. The crab rangoon on the menu was closer to cream cheese rangoon (no complaint from this vegetarian), they were very tasty with the dipping sauce! We would order from here again.
Serviceable and nice staff. Not terrible but not amazing. Neat freaks won’t love it but it’s a decent dive bar.
Kungfu Rice
I ordered a 10 piece Buffalo wings which were dry and chewy. I also ordered the large plate with chicken and broccoli, Mongolian beef, bourbon chicken and salt and pepper shrimp (which was the best thing on the plate) but everything is reminiscent of Panda so if you like Panda you’ll like this. It doesn’t have as much variety also.
Order thru Uber eats, food was VERY Dry like all food has juice like it's just dry meat with oily residue, No forks and no chilli sauce and to much soy sauce. The coconut shrimp was alright, Never again I love Chinese food and I'm so disappointed
El Katracho
I am a truck driver, I place an order by phone to come by and they deliver my order wrong because supposedly that is what they hear, apart from that I asked for over easy egg and flour tortilla, please the person who takes the orders should be more responsible and check what the kitchen delivers to do their job well, this happened to me today 10/01/2025 at 7:30 pm
Excellent service and delicious food, very spacious and great atmosphere for sure. One of the delightful staff that I had the opportunity to meet. Manager Elvin Fuentes is very attentive and helpful, bartender Emelin was very nice and super attentive as well. We ordered a Boquita Mixta to dine in and we really liked it, super delicious. Also we ordered two Baleadas especial to go for our grandkids ( They absolutely enjoyed it!)
