Somewhere In Bangkok Of Avon
Takeout Review: Somewhere in Bangkok is an authentic Thai restaurant located in Connecticut. They have locations in Avon and Southington. Thai food is typically very flavorful; they use multiple spices and fresh ingredients to bring out the salty, sour, sweet, hot and bitter flavors. They have a vast menu with plenty of options and spice levels. They also offer boba tea drinks. It was a cold and rainy day so we decided to do takeout from there. I am usually a pad Thai or curry dish lover, it's my go-to, but decided on the chicken Pad See Ew this time around to mix it up. It's a stir fried flat rice noodle dish with broccoli, eggs, garlic, and soy sauce. The portion size was average and the flavor was robust. Next time, I look forward to trying out their pad Thai, panang curry, sweet chili wings, and panang fried rice, to name a few. Overall, it's a great Thai restaurant offering quality ingredients and delectable flavors.
Great first impression from my first visit for lunch. We had Bangkok fried rice and Ginger shrimp. They handled my wife's gluten free request very seamlessly. It was all plated very nicely and tasted great. I will definitely go back, try other items and see if they can earn a five star rating!
