I came here for the first time on Christmas Eve. 4.7 on reviews. Cute little restaurant. My daughter had been here a few years ago and said it was okay but she had gotten Ramen. Customer service is great. Restaurant appears. Clean. They were fast. I thought they would be closing early but were staying open until 9pm Christmas Eve which is unusual. Nice portion sizes except they always skimp on rice. Most restaurants do. I asked for pepper chicken which doesn’t come spicy. I asked that they add a little heat. They said they could make it medium. Also ordered Mongolian beef medium spicy. The food was horrible. Not even edible. The black pepper chicken had a burnt taste to it. Couldn’t taste the flavor of the chicken. Appeared tender. But both dishes were super salty, high in sodium off the charts. Like the meat is cooked and doused in tons of high sodium soy sauce, saturated. Then add the spicy medium. The spicy was more like “hot” not medium. The two combinations together was like a heart attack waiting to happen. Maybe my experience would have been different without the spicy medium and no salt. I also got a small wonton soup. Dark broth which I think is soy sauce. Also salty and high in sodium. I don’t know how anyone can eat this food with that high content of sodium. They must be young and it doesn’t effect them but it’s super unhealthy and can raise blood pressure through the roof. You can see in photo all the red pepper flakes. And the dark sauce which is pure soy sauce/sodium. Ruined our Christmas Eve dinner. One and done. I will say the spring rolls were good and came free with two dinners. If you spend $40, you get rangoons free I believe. Parking can be difficult as it’s just street parking on a busy road. If you are sensitive to sodium or want to stay healthy, not the Chinese restaurant for you.

The Crispy Honey Chicken was so so good! I got the gluten free version and was told that they do use shared fryers, which is is not a problem for me but something to be aware of. They do have many other not deep fried options that are gluten free! I am from out of town and there is no Chinese food that is GF near me so this was such a great treat!

I am going to this place for many years and it is still one of my favorite places for sit down Chinese. The service is always quick and friendly! While it's definitely not the most fanciest restaurant it's definitely a family-owned business that you should visit for good meal!

Ordered for pickup, but wish I'd have dined in long ago. This place has the classic Chicagoland Chinese Food taste and feel. I ordered a lunch special and the price made it seem like the portions would be tiny, so I ordered more as filler, but I ended up with lunch and dinner from the same meal. Delicious too, I've craved the scallion pancake several times since my visit -- the flavor of their dipping sauces let you know they've got some traditional tricks up their sleeves. I can't wait to try some of their Cantonese dishes.
